All they care about is the money, and not the students. I needed my diploma and other certifications they had of mine for a job, and they almost didn't give it to me because my large chunk of money I owed the school wasn't paid off. Ridiculous. I could have my RN by now had I stayed away from this place. I'm now 20k in debt for a program that A) I can't even transfer my credits out and B) is honestly about equal to high school classes. The only classes that were helpful in my program were my medical terminology, CPR and clinical classes. Most of the teachers, except for a select few, are awful and teach you by literally reading out of a textbook. The financial aid staff are very rude, and they don't really help you find a job as promised. Most of the classes you take are not very necessary (depending on your program) and are more of a "take these so the college gets more money" classes. Also, I barely even used the books that cost me a large chunk of $$ as well. I learned 10x more in the first month I started working as an MA from the doctor I worked for, than I did in 2 years at empire. I regret going here, and often think about suing them to pay back my student loans.... I now work as an LVN and graduated from empire in 2017 with my MA AA. Save your money, and go through the JC or Sonoma state where you actually will learn something, and have a better path/connections to your future.

Justin: If it were not for Justin being at Heald College when it closed I would have never heard of this school. He also gave me information about the school that had me really excited to come and be a student here. 2. Tina: Tina has been amazing and helped make sure that I had everything that I needed and stayed on top of everything. Especially on reminding me about my make-up hours. 3. Melissa: I have not really spent as much time with Melissa as I have Tina but every time I have asked her for help she was always there. Especially when I had assignments were due and the printer in the lab was not working, she would come in and fix it like it's nothing. Such a life-saver and a grade saver! 4. Nicole: Even though she is not at this location anymore she still had did a lot for me especially making sure that my paperwork for my stuff was done. She is one of the few people that have called me to give me reminders about things that needed to be done or that were going to be due. 5. Carrie: Is another person that is not here anymore but she helped keep me on my game and Took care of anything for me that I needed help with. It sucks that she's not here to hear this but she is truly amazing. 6. Carla: I have not really done too many things with Karla but she was still very nice and had answers to questions that others did not or at least were not sure of. And she would always say hi to me when she seen me. 7. Mrs. Heather: Awesomely amazing teacher!!!! Made class very enjoyable and fun to learn. There are a lot of good memories that I will never forget. She was like one of us just not as a student haha. She also never gave up on any of us and would do anything she could to help us and make sure that we all passed the class. 8. Mrs. Raynor: Another awesomely amazing teacher who loved her students and loved teaching us all. I will say her class felt a little harder but it was still very enjoyable and fun. Just like Mrs. Heather she never gave up on her students and would do anything that she could to make sure that we all pass her class. Overall everyone here at this school is amazing. Thank you for making education fun and exciting. I really enjoyed my time here, and who knows maybe I'll come back and do another program! I love you all.

Not even a month into it and I was regretting and dragging my feet to in everyday. My 1st instructor taught use more about his personal life then the actual subject. Didnt follow the way he was supposed to teach us whiched caused a big issue for those who were going to go into the next class. He passed everyone regardless. Had a motor project and passed us all even though none of us got the motor to work. He didnt really even try to get it running. You don't learn in the traditional way. You don't learn from A-Z. They will throw you in wherever the class is currently at. So you maybe learning the very end of the book before you even learn the beginning of the book which is bad if you are completely new to the subject and don't have any knowledge or experience. You don't jump into HVAC right away which is normal. You'll be doing electrical theory but my instructor didn't even go over HVAC electrical. I was learning more how to be an electrician then HVAC technician. Once I got into HVAC I was told in was going to take my certification test at the end of that month. Which is beyond stupid. They gave me a study packet to help prepare me for the test. By the time I had to take the test I failed of course but wasnt worried. Was told i had 3 attempts to take the test. The very next day after I took the 1st test i was told to take it again, and again I failed. The day after the 2nd test I was told to take it again and use the study packet because the head of the campus wants us to pass. Probably to give him a bonus or something like that. Well I'm not going to pay them to cheat on my future. I tried to talk them but the head of the campus "wasn't in today". I tired to call and kept going in to talk to him about why they wanted me to cheat. But kept getting the same response. I called them and told them I was dropping out because the cheating was the last straw. Then it seemed like they actually cared about my problem. I finally got calls back from the school and told them why I was leaving but the lady seemed not to really be paying attention and wanted me to go in and sit down with the head of the campus. I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Said in was going to go in but didn't. I told them about it and they didn't seem to care until I left.

I cannot stress how chill and nice he was. The course was taking a toll on my physical and mental health, but Scottie's cheerful optimism kept me going. He truly embodies positive energy and makes lectures so much more bearable. His storytelling and advice were very eye-opening as well. I regret not approaching him for help more often. However, unsurprisingly, it's very rigorous. For anyone looking at an 8-week course, you will spend 20 hours a week: 10 hours on lectures (MW or TTh; 5 hours each) and 10 on skills (Sunday); of course, with breaks in between. Lectures will cover 6 chapters per week, and you will take lecture exams every weekend on the day of your skills instruction. You should be able to dedicate a huge amount of time to reading through the course material (at least 20 hours imo). So please reconsider your decision if you're planning to work or study full-time during the course. Otherwise, give it a shot! Be cool and professional, and most important of all, make sure you have a great time. I promise you, it'll be worth it.

I just completed the 7.5-week expedited course, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. First and foremost, know this: it's a fast-paced, demanding course, and success requires putting in the work. But if you're serious about learning, BATA provides everything you need to excel--exceptional instructors, hands-on training, and a structured approach that sets you up for real-world success. Scottie, the lead instructor, is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's knowledgeable, engaging, and has a great balance of keeping the class fun while knowing when to get serious. He truly cares about his students and their success. BATA also brings in a fantastic team of instructors--shoutout to Kyle, Justin, Nadeline, Eric, and Tony--each of whom adds their own expertise and teaching style. With so many instructors, the course feels personal rather than overwhelming, ensuring plenty of one-on-one guidance and hands-on practice. From day one, you can tell that BATA is well-organized and genuinely committed to training top-tier EMTs. They focus on real-world scenarios and practical skills, not just textbook knowledge, which makes a huge difference when preparing for the field. For anyone considering their EMT certification--whether your goal is becoming a first responder or using it as a stepping stone for another route like medical school--you will be in great hands at BATA.

If you are a coach or in any kind of healing or personal growth professional you really owe it to your clients to go through this experience. Yes, it's NLP. You will learn "classic" NLP at a level of depth and integration that I've never seen taught anywhere else (and I've trained with other NLP schools) but it is also so, so, so much more.

It…read morehas changed my professional life - which of course is rooted in my changed personal life. 10 years ago, I was focused on understanding problems and creating solutions in the world "out there." That's, so I thought, is what I get paid for. I had the conviction that we were relatively well equipped to identify and interact with the world "out there" - which included the popular and politically correct relativism, cultural sensitivity, and the notion of personal view points. Today that looks a little comical - in a good natured sort of a way. Yes, the training of NLP Marin offers tools, communication and interpersonal skills, and powerful frameworks that help us make sense of the world in very different ways. They are totally worth the price of admission and you are getting a great deal. They don't not even begin to describe the value of the training. The best way I can describe it, so much of the value is about a quality of personal presence: intense curiosity, openness (as in suspending judgement), vulnerability (as in being willing to learn, be wrong, and safe enough in myself to expose myself...), and courage to do something - anything - when the time has come. Now, I have a deep appreciation for the interesting problems - the once you can't solve by paying for better expertise - where the solution is contained in the way we look at the problem. The solution is in our face but we don't see it. It is out of this personal presence that new questions arise. These questions shed new light on how we make meaning of our experience, what we are feeling, hidden assumptions in our thinking, and all the noise we are creating in an effort to stay safe - in a dance we put on together with everybody else. Priceless!!! Carl Buchheit, Michelle Masters, my teaching assistants and my community of peers have patiently hung in there with me (and still do today) as I am learning at my own pace to become more present to myself and make more useful distinctions about the world "in here" and how it dramatically affects the world "out there." Words fail it - you have to experience it...
