The owner graciously gave me a store credit that I need to use within six months. That's pretty straightforward. It looked like a brand new sofa when I saw it after the repair. We were adamant that we did not want the sofa with a difference in stain color. I called and spoke to the owner and during our conversation, he quoted me a price for the bag repair and I asked him if he could reduce the price for the repair and he hung on me twice. The first time he did it, I thought it was a bad connection. So, I called back and he rudely stated that he purposely hung on me. A person who did not have anger issues, would have simply said "no, I cannot reduce the price." For him to get so angry over something that was so minor was puzzling. He could have easily said I do not want to do business with you and ended the call politely. He has horrible customer service and I will never recommend this business to anyone looking to restore their precious leather goods!

The first level is the General Store and has a wide variety of merchandise and even an area in the back with sewing machines. It looked like classes are taught there. Upstairs had more art and craft items. It even looked like they were starting an art gallery. I liked the selection of products made in NC. Service was friendly here and there is street parking as well as parking on the side of the building. The General Store & Gifts to Go is a welcome addition to Downtown Zebulon.

We were traveling through the area and needed a replacement cord and charger so we pulled into the…read moreFamily Dollar parking lot and saw Trade It! We are not from the area and never heard of this store before, so we went inside to check it out. When you walk in there is a good sized vestibule with a counter to your right. We were greeted warmly by a lovely woman with striking red hair who was helping a customer at the counter. I quickly realized that the gentleman she was helping was trying to sell her a small refrigerator, We continued straight through another set of double doors into the store portion where items are being sold. It's actually a really cool concept. For people not from the area, think "Once upon a child" where you sell your baby stuff and other people can buy it without paying department store prices. You get paid, the store gets paid and people in need save money. All the employees we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. You can tell a lot about a business by the people it hires and how well they work together and with customers. We were able to get the things we needed at a good price. A new cord, still in the packaging that works great and a few other items I saw while inside. By the time we left, the front room was crowded with people waiting to sell things. This seems like a popular store in the area and you can feel good about shopping somewhere that really helps the community. I would definitely return to this store and I recommend you stop in and check it out if you haven't already.
