I was there recently for over two weeks they barely did labs to check up on what was going on with me and from week to week I had a completely different doctor over viewing my case. Now my mother is currently sitting in the ER with extreme abdominal pain, she has been there for over three hours and they have yet to do anything besides tell her she needs to wait. If this is something life-threatening that is actually needing to be addressed immediately the complete lack of attention as a disgrace to the medical field.

I arrived at the north entrance at the same time a young couple with a baby and bags was dropped off. The north entrance was locked because no one was at the desk. This young couple, with baby and bags, had to walk all the way around the hospital to get to the main entrance. I felt terrible for them. When we got to the main entrance, there was no one there either! This wasn't a problem for me, but it sure was for them! Hendrick just recently took this hospital over, and I am SO NOT IMPRESSED! Staffing appears to be at a minimum. Please do better for your patients and visitors.

I spent 4-5 days in the hospital and received three stents and a pacemaker. Every single person who I had contact with, from kitchen staff to cardiologists was friendly, compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. I am still going through the cardiac rehab program at Hendrick, three days a week, and I am just as impressed with their rehab facility and staff.

Shannon Medical Center should honor their commitment to care for their patients.  My provider did…read morenot fill a prescription before leaving so I was told that I had to come in to get that prescription refilled, but that I would not be charged.  I came in as requested and that doctor told me that it wasn't necessary for me to come in to have that prescription filled.  Shannon used this as an opportunity to file my insurance unnecessarily and bill me the balance.  When I called Shannon to dispute the charges, they said since I came in there was nothing they could do.  The doctor himself told me I didn't need to come in to get that RX refilled.  Shannon only has Shannon's interests at heart as I had to drive 2 hours and then be billed for something that my provider should have taken care of originally.   I am transferring my care immediately as I feel that since I started seeing them in July 2025 it has been nothing but a joke as this has just been one of the many problems I have had with them.

It took…read moreme a week to find a doctor that was taking new patients, it took 3 weeks to get an appointment with said doctor, I received 3 emails that they were changing my appointment but all 3 changes were the same date and time, that was confusing, then, 2 days before the appointment, they call to inform me that the day they scheduled my appointment, the doctor would Not be in on that day and needed to reschedule, while I was telling them about all this, which goes back to when my surgery was rescheduled 5 times and 2 months later, that they need to find a better system of making appointments, the very rude person I was speaking to just hung up on me, I didn't get to schedule another appointment, and actually I'm glad I didn't because I would send a dead mule to Shannon hospital, they are truly the worst hospital ever! This monopoly needs to be shut down and give San Angelo better options for medical care!

Excellent. Everyone in the ER was compassionate and professional. I had fallen on my shoulder and…read morewas in quite a bit of pain. I was in town for only one evening. They got me admitted quickly. Brought me pain medication as soon as they realized the severity of my injury, They brought the X-ray machine to me. After seeing I had broken my shoulder blade they ordered a CT scan, They shared the results ( not good news for me), and sent me back to my hotel with pain medication to get me through the night and they called in another prescription to be picked up at the local pharmacy the next morning. I left with a written explanation of my injury and a disc with a copy of the CT scan for my orthopedic surgeon to review when I return to Dallas. We were there a little over 3 hours. I can not thank them enough. Obviously no one wants to end up in the emergency room, but if the need arises, I would not hesitate to go there for help.

My husband has also been judge by the staff when he got ran over back in Feb. They assumed he was on drugs cause he has tattoos. the worst hospital I've ever been to so judgemental
