Well, I'll stick with 4 stars cause he's a good doctor. I do like him and he always works with me…read more But the wait times are ridiculous. You might go to an exam room on time, but then it's 30 minutes to an hour before he comes in. Takes my whole lunch hour and then late back to work. Thank god for words with friends.

He and his staff, and nurses are thorough!!and thoughtful. I will tell you your visits after that you will not have to wait that long! His nurse even managed to get me a new CPAP machine which I had not been able to get when I asked for it the last two years! I did have to have lab work after seeing the doctor but I did not have to wait long for that. The lab got me right in. Highly Recommend them for anyone searching for a new physician.

The doctor reviewed my medical records and I was impressed with his manner. He was direct and asked excellent questions about my medical history. I worked in physicians' offices for nearly 40 years and am therefore probably more critical than many patients. I was pleased with the short wait and felt that my first visit was an indication that I will get good care from Dr. Olivas.

They won't see me early because a different med I need is a controlled substance (which I understand). He told me to go to ER to be evaluated there. I fired him yesterday. Look him up online, he has a different last name as well.

HORRIBLE PERSON! Terrible doctor!! My handicapped mother fell and could not walk for months. We…read moreBEGGED him to order an MRI (you cannot get an MRI in Abilene unless a Dr. orders one) he LITERALLY WOULD NOT ORDER an MRI for my mother! He was her primary care physician for gosh sakes. She went to rehab for two weeks all the while he was prescribing medication for her, but NO MRI. When she left rehab, she went to her lung doctor and told her the story. Her lung doctor could not believe he hadn't ordered an MRI yet. She ordered it and received the results...her FEMUR WAS BROKEN!! It has now healed incorrectly and she needs surgery to fix it, however, she cannot have surgery because of her health. She was bed ridden for a year thanks to this idiot. Going forward, she was scheduled to see a new doctor for two weeks, the morning of her appointment she was told she cannot see this new doctor because Dr. GAO has black listed her. If you value your health and your LIFE, I would NEVER see Dr. GAO. WOULD'T GIVE HIM ANY STARS, BUT ZERO STARS IT IS NOT AN OPTION.
