My mother has always got here and gets her eyebrows done. They do well on her eyebrows so I wanted to get my lashes done since I had an event coming up PROBLEMS: 1) I asked if they do individual lashes and want them natural. THEY LIED AND SAID THAT THEY DID HAVE THEM. THEY DID NOT 2) They put the same glue that you put on hair extensions to make wigs on your eyes. I recognize that smell and glue anywhere. 3) The GLUE BURNS 4) I attempted to stop them when they were working on my left eye. I asked them to remove it but they said they couldn't otherwise it would rip my lashes out because it was dry. (And because I didn't want to walk around with lashes half done at the mall I let them do my right eye). After walking around the mall my eye continued to burn and my eyes were starting to get red. I was in on of the dressing rooms in the stores i say that the lashes were CLUSTERS AND WAS CLUMPED UP AND HAD GAPS. I went back to ask them to remove it again. They said they couldn't but offered to give me a fill in to make it equal and even. OBVIOUSLY I SAID NO. MY EYES ARE HURTING. I asked how I could remove it. They said to just wash with soap and water. I asked for a refund and the woman said no because she said "I need to be able to eat too." I looked at her and the other woman and left. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This was, hands down, the worst lash experience I have ever had. I went in for a simple service (a friend of mine had suggested) and left with my lashes completely destroyed. I'm almost positive that none of the employees are even licensed, and their lack of professionalism showed from start to finish. First, they didn't wear gloves--so unsanitary. My eyes were burning the entire time from whatever product they used, and they made no effort to protect my eyes during the process. To top it all off, they actually put mascara on my lashes at the end--clearly trying to cover up how badly they had botched the job. It was obvious they had no idea what they were doing and just wanted to make it look better instead of actually fixing the problem. When I called to address my concerns, they refused to take any responsibility. Instead, they blamed my lashes, saying it was just "the way they were" (which is ridiculous) and didn't offer a refund. The lack of customer care and basic hygiene here is shocking. The only thing they seem to do well is threading. But when it comes to lashes (and probably any other service they offer), they have no business attempting it. Do yourself a favor--go somewhere safe, clean, and professional. I went to this place to get a set of eyelashes. I had been moving all day and decided to do something nice for myself. When I got there, it was a little busy and one of the two people working left. I let others go in front of me because I knew what I was doing was a longer service. I was up-sold to also get my eyebrows dyed "blond". While waiting for the dye to set, I fell asleep in the chair and the worker made fun of me because I started to snore. I heard her as I woke up. And I heard a couple of folks who were waiting snicker. So, I spent $40 to do something nice for myself and became the object of ridicule. Also the "blond" eyebrow dye service was a jet black. When she was done I looked like a circus clown. There was also an issue at check out regarding their reward program. I won't be back. read more

Not only a Painful experience but a very unprofessional one. * Applying lash extensions should be a relaxing pain free process when done professionally. My eyelash extensions also poked and irritated my eyes. Lash extensions should NEVER be applied to the skin. The adhesive is not designed for contact with skin and will clog the pores potentially leading to blepharitis/hair loss/infection/allergy etc. Exactly what happened to me. Do NOT get eye lashes done here. Brows are ok (Sometimes) mostly by only one lady whom station is on far right. She is the best! She will actually have a true consultation with the client. read more

I was recently in Bowling Green with some free time after working, and I realized my eyebrows were a total mess! Eek! My sister lived in BG during college, so I texted her to ask if there was a threading place around, fully expecting a, "No." (There aren't even many places to get your eyebrows threaded in Louisville.) To my surprise, she said there was a place in the Greenwood Mall! I made my way into the mall and found this small but clean and fresh looking salon. One lady was having her eyebrows threaded by an employee, another employee was behind a counter, and another client was waiting. I was greeted and sat down to wait my turn. The wait was short, and it was then my turn. This was my third time having my eyebrows threaded and at my third location, so I'm still a bit of a newbie. The threader was quick but also friendly and okay with the fact that I kept sneezing. (It always gets me!) It cost $10, I believe, which is more than I paid in NYC, but since it's the only place in BG, I thought it was fair. (Their credit card system was down just by chance, so thankfully I had exactly enough to pay and tip. Afterward, they let me know there is actually a Neel Thredz location in Louisville in Oxmoor Center. They also were talking about some of their other services... You can check those out on their website. I might have to check some of those out in Louisville. I was going to give this location 4 stars--not because anything was wrong, but just because I wasn't sure if it was a perfect five stars. But then I remembered the number of compliments I've received on my eyebrows, even two weeks later. I would have a unibrow if it weren't for my upkeep, so the fact that the experience was pleasant and quick, the staff was friendly, it is likely the only place in Bowling Green to have your brows threaded, AND my brows still look good two weeks later... I'm posting a review mostly Bc they totally don't deserve the one star rating they have on here. If you don't tell them anything, yes, they will just "shape" your eyebrows, and as a regular that's fine but just like anywhere else if you're brand new it's really on you to say something. IMO. Anyway, they've done a great job for me since day one. I was wary about the place Bc it's literally the only one in the city, and in Southern California I had 7 within 10 minutes of me. I've been going about a year and I get complimented on my brows almost every time I get them done. Way way waaaayyyy better on your skin than waxing. I started threading about 10 years ago and will never go back. I love this place and moving here was so happy to find it. read more

I love this place! My eyebrows are bushy and not In a stylish way but in an obnoxious and unruly way. I got them threaded before I went on vacation and they looked terrific, I love all of my vacation pictures because I never had to worry about my eyebrows! Neel Therdz may be the only threading hair removal in Bowling Green, but their service is beyond horrible. I have had a experiences in there, I have to admit service gets worse everytime I go!! One day I went (yesterday) the owner turned me down because " it was to hard" lazy and bad business but then she said call/ come back tomorrow when the other lady shows up and she might do it. I called today and she didn't show up to work. The Neel Thredz needs better service and to keep a hold on their employee. I AM VERY DISPLEASED WITH THEIR BUSINESS! I DO NOT RECOMMEND NEEL THREDZ TO ANYONE. Not to mention when my niece went to days ago for a competition the same lady messed up her eyebrows, one was thicker and more arched than the other one. I usually have nothing but positive things to say about this place but the last time I visited there were 3 people working and it appeared they all took their lunch at the same time. Another customer and I sat and were told "5 minutes". After 5 minutes, only one worker came out and I proceeded to sit there for another almost 15 minutes while watching the other 2 employees eat and gossip in the back room. I then asked if someone could please come out and do my eyebrows and was again told "5 minutes." Thankfully the worker who had already finished eating said she was done with the other customer and could take me at the exact time. I've got a wax today and was bleeding so bad that I needed a pad .. turned out they cut my skin for 2cm very deep .. if you're not experienced why do you work on people's most sensitive part .. Please dont ever go here. I am a regular customer and always get my brows threaded which is fine. But my mom just went there with me and we asked for full time threading for my mom. I told her not to do it, jist brows only. So she still want to get her full face threaded, but then a lady said im going to thread your brows and wax your face. I told her no, just threading only. She said bc my mom hair was so soft, she can only wax her face. I know for a fact you do not put wax on your face, only legs, hands, body or brows or upper lips. I was so angry and upset because my mom got the worst allergic reactions, her face break out so bad and she have so much bumps on her fave and necks. I dont know how, but i think it is the hot wax on her face gave her that allegric reaction. What makes me mad qas the lady didn't think nothing is wrong and tell us to use cold water. If she cares for my mom face, she wouldn't charge us at all and apologize to us. She charged us 25 dollars and didnt even said sorry. read more

I have gone here for 5 years because the service is typically fast and satisfactory. Last time I went, however, I had a bad experience. I arrived at 8:30. The mall closes at 9. All mall stores must close at 9, no earlier and no later. While I waited, I watched the ladies who worked there turn other entering customers away asking them to leave 30 minutes before closing. When it was my turn, the worker who did my brows berated me the entire five minutes I was in her chair about how I need to come earlier and that they like to be home by 9. When I told her the mall didn't close for another 25 minutes, she got very defensive and argued with me that she has a family and wants to be home by 9 and that she had to work 11 hours that day. She went on and on, angry, and told me they like to leave by 8:30 if they can. As I paid and tipped her, with 20 minutes to closing, she scolded me for being inconsiderate and told me it was "her weekend too". I am confused by this, since all three stores in the mall I've managed in the past have resulted in a fine for closing my gate a minute before 9. This is very rude and no way to run a business. I will be taking my business elsewhere as a result of the treatment I received. read more

God good where do I start? DONT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE UNLESS U YOURE WANTING A BUZZCUT. I've lost count of how many times they've messed my eyebrows up. I kept giving them chance after chance because they would tell me it was my eyebrows that weren't shaped well or some other bs excuse but now I refuse to go back after my most recent trip. Before I sat down, I told her the last time I came the other lady made one super thin and the other thick so "please be mindful!" She nodded. Once she was done, (I let my eyebrows grow so she could do a good job) MY EYEBROWS WERE A MESS. She took the entire top of my eyebrows off. BOTH eyebrows were missing a top. U could see the chucks of missing hairs from miles away. Literally....they're also super rude. There was one time I came in and she told me to come back another time because I complained too much.. whenever you try and tell them how you'd like your eyebrows done, they'll roll their eyes and purposely mess your shit up. I literally only made a yelp account so that I could give this review. That's how terrible they are. I hope they get put out of business. Pleasantly surprised!! I just moved to bowling green a few months ago from Atlanta and for 16 years had the same girl wax my eyebrows at a very reputable salon. I even drove to Nashville a few times to get my eyebrows done and tried another salon in Bowling Green. I had them threaded today and was very impressed! She did a great job and I'll be back.
