DRIVE THRU. I love drive thrus in general, whether it by a food place, bank, or pharmacy. Being a former Sovereign Bank user, all of the locations throughout Dedham, Westwood, Norwood, and Walpole all had drive thrus, while Citizens only have one drive thru, here in Dedham Square. Convenient access via Eastern Avenue, and exit to Eastern & Bryant Sts. Staff are always friendly, helpful, and wonderful at quickly moving through the drive thru line (if there is one). Good hours as well! Great alternative to Stop&Shop down the street (who really wants to walk into a giant store only to go to the bank!). 5 stars for the Dedham Citizens.

He guided me through everything I needed to know about getting my savings account and checking account started, including getting my wife signed onto both accounts in case of emergency. He got my ATM card, and ordered checks for me. He also showed me how to use the mobile app which I now have on my phone. Christian took his time and answered all our questions. We appreciate all his help and he is a great reflection on Metro Credit Union. Seeing my dilemma, the manager, at the suggestion of an associate banker, Cheryl Farran, agreed to have her take me to another bank with notary service. There is a device on the side of the doors to insert a card and enter however as I said the door never gets locked . This does not make me feel comfortable or safe using the atm day or night knowing anyone could just walk right in. This is an easy fix but considering the years upon years of this being an issue I don't see anyone making strides to tackle it . Definitely makes me less likely to use this ATM.

Not…read moresurprisingly, Citizens Bank has opened a brand new, modern bank in Legacy Place, which is sponsored by Citizens Bank and has signs all over for Citizens. I even believe the entire top level of the Legacy Place buildings is all offices for them... not completely sure though. Anyway, the retail bank is located across from the entrance of Whole Foods and next to the former City Sports and upcoming Amazon Bookstore. The bank is open longer than EVERY other Citizens Bank that is not located in a grocery store with the hours being 7 days a week! Monday-Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-7, Saturday 10-3, Sunday 11-3. While it is unable to provide drive thru service (the other Citizens in Dedham Square has a drive thru, that I also enjoy and use often), they have a lovely and welcoming atmosphere inside with lots of fancy furniture. Lovely for a bank and much better in comparison to other Citizens that are old and out of style. This is the futuristic look on banks in general. Tellers are friendly, service is fast, efficient and helpful, and they always have a huge bin of lollipops... the best thing about Citizens Bank! Not often that busy, and rarely a line. I have been a customer of Citizens Bank for over 10 years and am still appalled by the lack of…read morecustomer service I recently received. I wrote a check to my brother-in-law and his wife to celebrate their wedding and help provide funds for their honeymoon. All seemed well as they cashed the check and it cleared prior to them leaving; however, a day later Citizens took it upon themselves to reverse the check. I noticed this and called customer service and am still dumbfounded by their ineptitude and lack of empathy for potentially ruining a newlyweds honeymoon. Long story short, their only solution was for me to write them another check. Despite them being out of the country and Citizens having the account information where they initially deposited the funds, their only remediation was for me to write another check. I am still awestruck. I am all for fraud protection; however, how is it possible to do something without even contacting the customer to verify that fraud existed? The first customer service agent had no clue why the deposit was reversed initially, which makes me feel real safe as a customer. When escallated to a supervisor their only response was that my signature didn't match what was on file. I am no handwriting specialist; however, I cannot imagine that my signature has changed that much in my 35 years...and even if so, I cannot imagine that it would be acceptable to do such a reversal without any contact with the customer. So imagine a bank that couldn't care less than newlyweds are out of the country with $1000 less then than think they have to spend; and claim to have their hands tied with no possible means to rectify an error on their end. If this is acceptable to you, by all means bank with Citizens. If not, than feel free to join Wells Fargo like I just did.
