As someone who loves scary movies but admits real-life scares aren't really my thing, I'll be honest--I was nervous about going to Necropolis Haunted House! My anxiety started long before we even arrived. Ironically, when we got there, there was an ambulance outside the warehouse (real one, not part of the show), which definitely didn't help my nerves! Turns out, the person had just overheated, but what a first impression, right?! The line outside wasn't bad at all--maybe a 10 minute wait. But once inside, we went down a flight of stairs, and that's where the real line started. After admission, we waited about 30 minutes. It was HOT down there, so I had to leave the line to grab a bottle of water. But once we got to the front, they let groups in individually. There were 7 of us, so we didn't have anyone else with our group. The haunt itself was a mix of 4-5 different sections, and we got through in about 30-40 minutes. Honestly, I wasn't as scared as I thought I'd be--though my anxiety prior was definitely scarier than the haunt itself! I'll say this is probably one of the most kid-friendly haunted houses I've seen (there were a lot of young kids there). It didn't have as many jump scares as I was expecting, which made me wonder if they were short staffed or if that is always how it is. Overall, we had a fun time with friends and enjoyed the experience. If you're looking for something not too intense but still fun, I'd recommend it! First time here. This was a really good setup and the decor was amazing. I loved the value of getting 4 haunted areas for 1 price, and we got scarily accurate tarot readings for only $10. The characters were scary and our group really enjoyed the attention to detail with decor and storylines. The staff was awesome and you can tell they loved their roles. My favorite areas included the old timey preacher and guy with the book! Thanks for making me feel like a teenager again, even at 43! Great work!!! read more

Some character had a live snake in the line but only after you are stuck and have been thru the first attraction, we go to most of the local haunted houses in Indiana and some surrounding states, won't be back to this one, 13th hour and nightmare on Edgewood are much better read more

We had an awesome time. This was such a good hunted house. Very well done and spooky! It was well worth the $35.00 a ticket for all 4 huntings. We didn't get the fast pass (which was an extra $15.00) and the wait was about 45 minutes. They did a great job in keeping the groups separated so we could enjoy the spoke. The venue, actors and atmosphere where all well done. Even the actors that interacted with us while in line. Don't miss out on enjoying this spooky experience! read more

I did all 4 attractions, the House, the Cemetery, the Hotel, and the Factory. Good pricing to do all 4 for $30 is the best deal. I definitely was scared and used my "flight or fight" response a couple of times. I won't give away the attractions, I will just say this....be ready for what ever is around each turn....sometimes I wasn't ready and I'd scream lol. I definitely enjoyed the hotel intro for check-in "LAST DOOR ON THE LEFT!" Be alert at all times....definitely pay attention to your surroundings. Good actors that stay in character from the time I stepped foot in the door, until I got to my car in the parking lot. Also, don't say your name out loud unless you want the whole haunted house repeating it and letting everyone know you're heading their way. As a tip: don't wear WHITE! Black lights make you "fresh meat" targets! Lol Happy Halloween season! read more

My 14 year old son and his friends came to your attraction tonight. We are extremely disappointed that they could only do one attraction and paid $53 for a fast pass which was optional but recommended on the website. They were told when they got there they had to be 18 for most attractions. There is not one place the website that discloses that you have to be 18 years for any of the attractions. It says recommended 13 years old. Then you would only let them come through one time. It would be helpful if the information was disclosed on the website so people know what to expect, My son said it was fun but not worth the money for only 30 minutes at most. read more

This was my first haunted house! I dont understand why people are afraid of clowns, but there were quite a lot of them. All the performers make up and personas were interesting and startling. They were incredibly effective at their tasks; they made the 13 yo girl behind me cry. Lots of doors opening & slamming, watch your fingers. Much attention is paid to detail; every area I went through featured incredibly imaginitive backdrops and scenes. Shortly after the tour began, I ended up far behind the group, from just lingering and admiring the scenery. That was a wonderful experience! They still did the 'try to scare me by walking up behind me dressed like something creepy' thing, so in spite of my slowness, I still got to experience what a haunted house is supposed to be like. In one of the sections, I spoke to the owner while waiting in line. He told me Necropolis was the 2nd largest indoor haunted house in the country, and that the eatures in the section we were about to access were Disney- quality: holographs, and gigantic animatronics. That was a very impressive set. All in all, this is a place worth seeing! The performers care about doing a good job, and they try hard and do an excellent job with hair, makeup, costumes and props. read more

The reason I can only give Necropolis 2 stars is because we had to wait in lines for over two and a half hours. Even though we bought our tickets online ahead of time, we still had to wait in a long line outside with people who didn't have their tickets yet, just to get our wrist bands. Once we got inside there was another line that took another hour to pass. The workers said this was our last line but we were lead into a hallway with one more line to wait in. These lines could be shorter if tickets were for particular days and times. Despite the long lines, the actual haunted houses were good. 4/5 stars. They were a good length and scary. I just wish the long lines didn't ruin the experience! read more

This was scary!. The amount of times I jumped out of my boots you could say I was basically in the air for majority of the event. 4 haunted houses for 35$!! Every one agreed that this place was money well worth it, and money well spent. We got there about 30 minutes before the doors opened (8pm) on a Saturday night and were happily running through the houses not too long after. Be ready to be chased, have people screaming at you, lots of jump scares and you may even scream a few times. I would say this was just the right amount of scary for my group and I. Anymore than this would have been too much. If you need it to be a little more scary, walk really slow throughout the houses and be the first in your groups line. read more

Staff are extremely rude and were letting people they knew personally cut the line. Go somewhere else!

Not fun because the actors were constantly coming out of character to be rude and demeaning. Would not go back. Would not recommend.

Prior to attending the haunted house, I can truthfully say that our expectations were low. This is due to the 2.5 star rating currently posted on their Yelp. However, my expectations were severely inaccurate. This haunted house is the best attraction that I have attended thus far. The makeup and atmosphere alone were enough to give me a thrill, let alone the incredible jump scares and creepy props as well. My group and I went on a Friday night and the lines were not as bad as we thought they would be, maybe about 15-20 minutes for a wait. Overall, this haunted house is one I will recommend to all of my friends or anyone that is looking for a great scare. read more

Don't waste your time or money, very unprofessional and rude staff. Overheard two staff members arguing and using foul language around my children. When asked to tone it down, they said mind my own business. In another room I heard someone behind the scenes talking about something very inappropriate. This place is rated one of the 13 BEST in the nation and I can see why~! It has some of the most detailed scenes I have ever seen. Huge animated monsters down to creepy crawly real-looking bugs galore. I have been to a lot of Haunted Attractions in many different states, and this is by far one of the best I've seen. One thing I would recommend is to buy your tickets at the ticket booth, because buying them online does not really save you any time in line. You have to exchange your online paper or phone ticket at the ticket booth anyway. read more
