We had an awesome time. This was such a good hunted house. Very well done and spooky! It was well worth the $35.00 a ticket for all 4 huntings. We didn't get the fast pass (which was an extra $15.00) and the wait was about 45 minutes. They did a great job in keeping the groups separated so we could enjoy the spoke. The venue, actors and atmosphere where all well done. Even the actors that interacted with us while in line. Don't miss out on enjoying this spooky experience!

My 14 year old son and his friends came to your attraction tonight. We are extremely disappointed that they could only do one attraction and paid $53 for a fast pass which was optional but recommended on the website. They were told when they got there they had to be 18 for most attractions. There is not one place the website that discloses that you have to be 18 years for any of the attractions. It says recommended 13 years old. Then you would only let them come through one time. It would be helpful if the information was disclosed on the website so people know what to expect, My son said it was fun but not worth the money for only 30 minutes at most.

This was my first haunted house! I dont understand why people are afraid of clowns, but there were quite a lot of them. All the performers make up and personas were interesting and startling. They were incredibly effective at their tasks; they made the 13 yo girl behind me cry. Lots of doors opening & slamming, watch your fingers. Much attention is paid to detail; every area I went through featured incredibly imaginitive backdrops and scenes. Shortly after the tour began, I ended up far behind the group, from just lingering and admiring the scenery. That was a wonderful experience! They still did the 'try to scare me by walking up behind me dressed like something creepy' thing, so in spite of my slowness, I still got to experience what a haunted house is supposed to be like. In one of the sections, I spoke to the owner while waiting in line. He told me Necropolis was the 2nd largest indoor haunted house in the country, and that the eatures in the section we were about to access were Disney- quality: holographs, and gigantic animatronics. That was a very impressive set. All in all, this is a place worth seeing! The performers care about doing a good job, and they try hard and do an excellent job with hair, makeup, costumes and props.

Staff are extremely rude and were letting people they knew personally cut the line. Go somewhere else!

Not fun because the actors were constantly coming out of character to be rude and demeaning. Would not go back. Would not recommend.

I've lived not far from the Irvington area for the past 14 years. Over this time, it has become one…read moreof my favorite Indianapolis neighborhoods with a combination of urban style, history, and strong personality. As a wheelchair user, I'm the first to acknowledge it's not the most wheelchair friendly area - a definite deficit when it comes to patronizing its businesses AND attending events such as Irvington's "The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival." Yet, I've long thought to myself that if there any Indianapolis neighborhood to which I'd like to move for retirement it's likely Irvington. Despite being close to Irvington for quite some time, I'd not ventured out for its iconic Halloween Festival before precisely because of those accessibility concerns. Parking can be a beast around here, however, as expected I can honestly say I found it all worth it. Now in its 77th year, The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival is sponsored by the Irvington Community Council and brings together thousands of folks from across the city for the focal point of quite a few events that lead up to it including movies, ghost tours (Irvington has quite the reputation for its haunted spots), and other events. The festival itself weaves together a sense of community and a rare celebration of Indy's Eastside - a side of town that often gets a lot of disrespect. Events this year included an art auction, wellness fair, after party, masquerade ball, fright-seeing, movies, horror shorts movie night, family movie night, blood drive, "night out in sleepy hollow," zombie bike ride, vampire run, a night of spirits, and the actual joy-filled parade. All the festivities began as early as 10am - a great thing for those who prefer daytime activities, however, it all does go well into the night. There are numerous contests throughout the day and just a whole lot of fun to be had. The Irvington Witches are a must-see for me. For the week prior to the street fair, the festival utilizes a lot of volunteers to help run the event. There are, of course, lots of vendors involved and the vast majority of those vendors on the main East Washington Street strip get involved. I mean, c'mon, places like Jockamo and Scarlet Lane were practically made for this kind of thing. If you know me, and a lot of Yelpers do, I'm not always the most social human being but I had a blast with this. Yes, it can be a lot in terms of accessibility - parking is a bit obnoxious, Irvington's streets aren't always the most wheelchair friendly, and the crowd gets a bit overwhelming. However, it all works out pretty easily and nearly everyone I encountered was incredibly aware of and conscious of my wheelchair. I guess you could say I felt cared for throughout. If you've never attended The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, you're missing out on one of Indy's most iconic events. While I'd plan ahead a bit if you have mobility needs, it's worth the planning and a whole lot of fun. Addendum: After my review, I was contacted by Jake, who plans logistical and technical aspects of the street fair. He noted that the festival provides "a large amount of accessible parking in the Snips parking lot as well as down the middle of Washington Street." He noted this info is available at the festival website under the street fair! Thanks to Jake for the contact and additional information!

The haunted hay ride was actually super fun and surprised us by having 2 dance number scenes. The weather was divine and it was so nice to roll through all of the fun scenes they have set up with the breeze going. Some of the scenes felt like we went through them too quickly to get to see everything, but others you could really see all of the detail they put into it. The slaughter barn was very quick to get through- even when haunted houses aren't scary I like when they are big and you get to walk around in the spooky rooms they have set up. The haunted hay ride was the best part of the night by far. One thing none of us liked was that one of the characters that wander around to entertain guests who waiting in line, buying concessions, etc kept very quickly circling around everyone while pulling a wagon that had a duck caged in it. It couldn't even sit or get comfortable because it was constantly bracing for turns and bumps. A fake duck glued to the cage or no duck at all would have sufficed. Not sure why live animals need to be toted around as props. We had purchased our tickets online during pre-sale, so it was a 2-for-1 deal. We definitely wouldn't come back if we had to pay full price, but I do think my brother with autism would like this, so we may bring him here next year.

While in line there were about 4 characters that would walk through scaring people which kept it interesting while waiting. The actors did really well throughout. After an hour wait we got in the in hayride which lasted about 15-20 min. They take you out far away so you don't see or hear anything. They have about 4 of these tractors so the line moves fast. They had some similar aspects from other hayrides and some unique scenes I had never seen before. People were flying around on ziplines which was really cool. Highly recommend. Didn't do the slaughter barn because it honestly didn't look that appealing. The line was way longer for the hayride and $2 more. I could tell the attraction was the hayride here. They charge $2 if you use card so I suggest paying in cash. They have areas with bonfires to enjoy. They have a consession stand with snacks and merch to purchase. Really nice huge farm. Great haunt!
