They have their beers (all around £5/£5.5 for pints and half-pints available for half the price) and also some guest beers. Friendly service. They brew very good beers, I really enjoyed both the Citrus Pale ale and the XPA but I didn't particularly like their Brown Ale. To sum up, a great way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon in relax.

Every month, The Five Points Brewing Co host a brewery tour on a Saturday afternoon. For £12 (plus…read morebooking fee), Lasting two hours, guests sample five beers, take a tour of the brewery floor and are regaled with the history of the brewery. Everyone is given a Five Points chalice to take home and the opportunity to purchase more beer onsite. When I took the tour in May 2016, a row of banquet tables were set up in the heart of the brewery. In total, we were a group of 23 enthusiastic guests- only four of us had never been on a brewery tour before- and the majority were familiar with the Five Points' range. As we considered each beer in turn, we were provided with approximately half a glass each to swill. Questions were encouraged throughout the two hour tour and company representatives demonstrated exhaustive background knowledge of the company and beer in general. We were whisked around the brewery floor, invited to climb ladders and peer inside a kettle, then to stick our heads inside the mash tun. We became acquainted with the bottling line, a hand-me-down from Beavertown Brewery, which could fill up to 2,200 bottles per hour. The canning line can manage up to 3,600 cans per hour and we received an animated demonstration of how the cans slingshot through the machine. The brewery tour was an edifying insight into how another independent London brewery quickly outgrew its confines and made its mark as an institution proffering a seminal range of beers.

To my Yelp friend Dean C - Found this great UK brewery. Sorry, but it is kinda far away from the…read moredowntown tourist London area. But it is worth it since it is a "brewery mall." Quality/Quantity - Small simple menu done very well. Including the beer, good beer! My self made flight was good. I was worried that I ordered too many... All my beers were good. Can I suggest adding flights to your menu? Guest beers are also offered, see picture. Kegged wines, wines on tap. Pizza was great, sorry if I offended the "chef" by asking for parmesan cheese. I guess extra parmesan cheese is an Italian thing, not a UK thing...? We ordered the sweet potato, stilton & walnut pizza. Gluten free and vegan options are also available. Atmosphere - Amazing space, huge, indoor/outdoor, two stories, etc. Also outdoor on the river. Lounge area, picnic tables, "pallet" benches, barrel tables, etc. Semi open kitchen, see picture. Good people watching space. You can walk to the other breweries if you want to try more. Plenty of clean bathrooms on both floors. Also thanks for the outside/separate sinks in the upstairs restrooms. Dog friendly. Monthly events. DJ's on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Service - Menus and prices clear and plentiful. Hit and miss, but that's okay because I am drinking good beer and fairly easy going. Cool inclusive culture, see picture. Reservations available for groups of 4 or more. Price - 24 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - FYI, your website link on Yelp does not work for me...? But I can find it via Google.

I settled on the Kashmiri dal and whilst I was skeptical the bartender assured me it was delicious. And she was spot on although deeming it pizza is a misnomer: it's more of a crispy flatbread. Anyway the flavours were delicious!!! I was really skeptical of how the dal, banana slices and chili flakes would all go together but it was spicy, fragrant and tough to not eat all in one go (got it for takeaway). Really cool space on the canal as well with lots of seating indoors and a bit more limited outdoors. Almost right across from the overground. Plus dog-friendly!!

We were fortunate enough to visit WC on the August Bank Holiday weekend and there was much fanfare, fuss and fabulous brews. Picnic tables dot the front of the brewery along with a street food stand. Jerk chicken and bhangra burgers were on the menu during our stay. Inside the brewery is a small bar with WC's three beer on tap. I recall tasting their ruby ale and the very hoppy IPA. The third choice escapes me. Kegs of guest beers from local breweries stood off to the side and a fridge with the bottled selection stood back behind the counter. My partner had a lovely hazelnut brown ale and I had an outstanding cardamom stout. Both were just the right amount of nut and spice. Fever Tree products for the non-drinker in our group seemed to satisfy. At dusk the interior lights were dimmed and out came many, many candles. Their glow made for a very intimate and cosy vibe. I enjoyed sitting and sipping while chatting with my seat mates. And from the looks of it, everyone else in the joint did, too! What I enjoyed most about Wild Card was that it seemed to be a place that attracted folk from all walks of life. There were young and old, hip and square, families and singles all enjoying a brew and a chin wag. I would recommend those beer lovers up in the N17 and N16 areas (and those keen on a taking a wee trek) to get on over to Wild Card. I hardly think one would be disappointed.

Hackney Brewery - Brewery Tours for London Beer Week 2015.

The Hackney Brewery recently threw open its doors for free tours during London Beer Week. The…read morebrewery grew out of the passion and hobby of two beer enthusiasts and they have struggled to keep up with demand ever since. They even have the distinction of being the oldest brewery in East London- having registered their company only days before local favourites London Fields and Beavertown Brewery- but, unlike their counterparts, they have wittingly retained a low profile. This might not be for long, however. It is evident that the owners are aware of the brewery's enormous potential, but they are cautious about how to approach their success in a sustainable way. Peter Hills, one of the two founders, gave us the (exceedingly) brief tour of the premises; it consisted of antiquated kit, the smallest mash tun you'll ever see in a commercial brewery and a makeshift office environment that is reminiscent of a student dorm. There's a lot of charm here, however, and the lingering sense that Hackney will implode if they don't throw their hat into the craft beer race soon. This is because their beer is good. With a small set-up, you can guarantee that every batch is put through the rigours of quality control that just don't exist with larger scale systems. Each member of staff emanates devotion and love for their product. Hackney shouted a third pint for everyone on the tour and I sampled their raspberry wheat- a crisp, creamy smooth beer with a lovely aroma: a perfect summer session beer that appealed to my palate. The mosaic was heralded as the staff favourite and also delivered with a mild hoppy taste and clean finish. Hackney beer can currently be found in some local East London establishments (including our local Wetherspoon's, but it is always out), but once the owners fully commit themselves to getting the word out, you'll undoubtedly be seeing their beers in pubs across London. In the meanwhile, if you get the chance- jump at the opportunity to tour the brewery and try their beers yourself. This might just be the best underground craft beer in East London- for now.
