I had to get the screen replaced on my MacBook Pro. They had it completed in a day and kept in communication throughout the process.

Since then, I've reached out over 40 times between June and today asking for updates--with hardly any response. I did eventually speak with Trey, who told me he had been in and out of the hospital. I was empathetic--but even after that conversation, he continued to miss multiple promised deadlines. As of now, I haven't had any contact since late August and still haven't gotten my computer back. I've since filed a police report. I strongly recommend avoiding this business.

Do NOT use this company…read more My screen on my MacBook M1 needed to be replaced. Thinking I would support local business, I brought my device to this business in part because of all the positive reviews. He replaced the screen for $450. When I got the device back, I noticed the camera didn't work. Thinking this was a simple issue, I brought it to tech support where I work to get it resolved. Turns out, the tech support person is a former Apple repair tech. Here is the list of things done wrong: 1) My device has a warranty on it that was good for another year (and I even bought AppleCare+). This repair could have been done with -no charge-. A simple look-up would have told anyone that. Yes, that is on me as well but I would have expected someone doing this professionally with more experience to inform me of this. 2) The LCD was replaced with the wrong part. I have a gray MacBook, they put a silver screen on it. I didn't notice until later. For $450, I would expect this to be correct. 3) A required configuration step was not done. While the screen can work without this, it can also cause several issues including the screen stopping working and the camera not working. 4) Because all of this was done incorrectly, it also invalidated my warranty for any future issues. I went back to get my old LCD back so I could get the repair done correctly and salvage my warranty coverage. When I brought this to their attention, I was met with hostility. Eventually, I got my old LCD back. Even though they got their LCD back (a $300 part), they only refunded me $100 of the $450 repair. The final cherry on top for this terrible company is when I brought it back to the tech support person to get it repaired properly (for free), he informed me that of the 6 screws that hold the LCD in place, 2 were missing and 2 had been stripped. 2 other screws were also missing and one was put in the wrong place. 3 of the screw-holes were damaged. After he fixed it properly, the camera worked. I do not recommend this company. My experience was they are predatory, vindictive, do poor work and have terrible customer service.

The People's Geek - Completely mangled my laptop. No wonder he was so pushy for me to recycle it, he wanted to get rid of the evidence of his HORRENDOUS work!

Checkout my Google review to see how they MANGLED my first generation MacBook Pro!…read more I brought my first generation MacBook Pro in to recover some data. The battery would not fit inside the compartment, besides that the exterior of the laptop was free from any major damage (though it was worn in from 10+ years of use). I was told the brand new (still in package, purchased from Walmart ) flash drive I brought in did not work, so I was put in a situation where it was easiest to purchase what they had. I did not want to complicate things, so I went ahead and gave them the ok... When I went to go pick it up I was kind of surprised at the price, it was a tad bit more than the rough estimate I received over the phone from Ben. But that wasn't an issue, I was excited to finally get my beloved data! I was so excited I did not fully realize how much of a makeover ole' Joe did on my beloved MacBook. It now makes sense why he was pushing me to recycle it, get rid of the evidence of his HORRENDOUS work. My mind is absolutely blown he could keep a straight face when he handed me this laptop. He seemed agitated that I asked him to screw the housing back together, it was literally wide open, you could see the motherboard as clear as day. He snapped it back together and then mentioned there were some more screws, which he did not offer to put back in. So I had to say: "yes Joe I want the screws from my laptop". This would be obvious to anyone besides a Genius like Joe. I would NEVER bring anything to these people EVER again. I literally cannot believe the damage he did to my laptop. He completely ruined it. I had the laptop previously looked at and it would of cost $3-$400 to fix, at the time I opted out to just buy a new laptop and recover the data later. I wanted to hang on to the first generation MacBook Pro because it was something special to me, I liked having the possibility of having it fixed. Now it is literally DEMOLISHED. Look at the final invoice under Notes: "4. Reassembled device ....." Look at the picture! This is what he deems as a "reassembled device". Literally wide open with tons of screws missing and the keyboard completely torn up. Joe you are a Genius!
