There's lots of tables and spaces to meet and study with people or by yourself. There are computers, some you have to reserve and some you can drop in and use (but I think there's an hour time limit per day or something) There's also the museum of Brent and a cinema located in the same centre. Not sure how the cinema works but I went into the museum and it's awesome. It's definitely geared towards children, crazy interactive exhibits left and right, but I had a blast going through it all by myself. There's even a video booth where you can record your story about various school topics like bullies, homework, favorite hot lunches. For sure come here if you need a few hours to kill with children in tow in Willesden. :)

We enjoyed roaming the floors during an unexpected rain shower, and enjoyed all the historical tomes exhibited here. We did not sign up for cards, and therefor did not get to explore the rooms or stacks, but we did enjoy our walk around. During college (as a history major), it was frequently joked that you haven't really researched in a library if you haven't wound up making out in the stacks... well, after a day of research, I enjoyed some fun pictures and 'making out' with my husband, making this a thoroughly educational stop in our London adventure.

Would definitely recommend checking out the British library at least once! It's a beautiful…read morebuilding with a lot of bookd and exhibits, as well as a little coffee shop. If you plan on seeing any of the actual exhibits or checking out the areas that actually house the books, you'll need to sign up for one of their cards. I also can't really imagine getting much work or studying done here. It can be pretty difficult to find a seat and it's so loud and busy that you may be better off going somewhere else.

I only live around the corner from this Camden library branch, which is Holly Lodge. And even up to this day, I will always use the services at Highgate Library, for hiring out DVDs, PC printing and the photo copy machine. And I even reserve books and DVD from Highgate Library. Highgate Library is literally right next door to Highgate Cemetery, the place of Karl Marx's tomb.

There were very large tables on the second floor that had plenty of space to spread out your stuff. The room was fairly quiet and there was a variety of open seats and tables. The room got a good deal of light and the courtyard outside is very beautiful. I would definitely recommend checking out this place.

Hi, I recently went to register to Golders Green library and I was very disappointed about the…read moretotally unpoliteness, unwelcoming manners in general and of the manager in particular: I was refused a library card because my bank statement was not a valid proof of address! I was mostly upset when the person laughed at me in my face, as I explained my surprise and feeling of being unwelcome. I am a book-worm and have other three library cards in London, and this has never happened before. The same afternoon, I went to the Hendon Library where, instead, I was immediately welcome, helped and registered regularly. Same Barnet Libraries, different manners policy. Maybe the multicultural university envrionment of Hendon influences positively? I have the feeling that Golders Green Library is more for an elitaire restricted chosen group, careful of not being disturbed. p.s. As a library is very poor, noisy and doesn't offer a meeting point for the community, it is mainly reduced to a kinder-garden for the mums of the selected restricted group... lol!
