I strongly do NOT recommend T and A Automotive located at 705 Waverly Avenue Muscle Shoals AL. They…read morewere very unprofessional, did not completely fix my problem before they said my car was ready, caused additional malfunctions to my car, and implied that I was a liar. I called T and A to see if they could look at my car because the AC was not blowing at all. The woman who took my call said I could bring it in on June 19th. I called on Tuesday, June 18th, and she said they could still take it and I could leave it that night (no mention of a diagnostic fee of $130.00), just put my key in the box. I did that and filled out the key envelope which included describing the problems my car was having: AC not blowing and my car pulled to the right. I didn't hear anything on June 19th, so I called the shop at 2:45pm and they still had not looked at it. The receptionist called me at 3:30pm and said the technician had been checking for an hour at $130.00 per hour, but still did not know what was wrong, and did T and A have my permission to keep checking it at $130.00 per hour. This is when I was first notified about the diagnostic fee, which I understand but should have been told beforehand. She said you can come get in now, but you owe us $130.00. She did tell me that if they were to fix it the $260.00 (two hours of diagnostics) would go towards the labor. I didn't hear anything again until I called them at 4:00pm on Thursday June 20th. They were going to have to order a part, the blowing motor, (it took them two hours to determine it was the blowing motor) and it would be here on June 25th. I asked if I could make a down payment and come get my car. She said sure but he would have to reassemble it so they would add $130.00 to my balance. I said "So I would owe you $390.00, and it is not working, if I come and got my car today?" She said yes. So, I left it. I was without a car for a week. My car was ready on June 27th at a total cost of $636.00. The invoice they gave me includes fuses and indicates they looked into electrical with my AC blower. I picked it up at 4:55pm. When I got in my car, the air was blasting full speed. I turned it down and it would not blow any air on the lower settings. I then realized my clock and my radio were not working (I have since realized my automatic locks, my interior lights, cruise control and backup camera do not work as they were prior to T and A working on my car). I immediately went back and told the receptionist the air was not working properly it only works on the high setting?] and my clock and my radio were not . She emphatically said, "You said your problem was it was not blowing, well now its blowing!" It only worked on high and did not consistently blow cold air. The receptionist said I could leave my car, again. I said I needed it this weekend. She replied they would look at it on Monday (at no charge). I had doctor appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday. She said they were closed on Thursday and Friday because of the 4th of July and to bring it back at my convenience. I called back on July 12th at 8:45am said I could leave my car on Monday July 15th, which I did. I was called back later that day and told my electrical components were not working was probably due my wiring harness and electrical corrosion, and that they would not be able to fix it. The receptionist [name?] said she would talk to the owner about the other issues, the air only blowing on high and now it was not consistently cooling and call me back. She never called back. I called them at 4:15pm and she let me talk to the owner, Amelia. I told her that all these things were working before I took it to T and A. She said the technician doesn't remember the radio, clock, backup camera etc. was working or not. She said when she went back to look at it, she personally saw the automatic locks aren't working or my interior lights, cruise control and backup camera. She would even send me pictures of the corrosion (which she did). I said everyone looking at it can see it is not working now, but they all were working when I dropped my car off on June 19th. If all those items were not working before T and A , then why wouldn't I have asked them to address those when I first dropped of my car??? I would have. So, I ended my relationship with T and A with a $636.00 bill, air that only worked on high and all my electrical components not working. [What about the "receptor" and the photos of alleged corrosion?] "Due to the inevitable disgust and mistrust that T and A's behavior caused, I took my car to a different local mechanic, with whom I was extremely satisfied and should've gone to instead of T and A." This mechanic also sated there was NOT unusual corrosion and the pictures they sent me had nothing to do with the radio, back up camera, clock etc.

I'm too far away from those shops and mechanics now to use, and literally within 12 hours of arriving to Florence, my truck wouldn't start. This was discovered after 2 blow outs on my dually and 1 on my gooseneck horse trailer en route at 8 pm on a Weds. I finally got into town; the next am was able to locate 2 perfect tires for my dually. Dropped the truck, got a ride to check on my animals, had just sat down to eat lunch 11 hours after arrival and tire shop calls to say my truck won't start. Part of the work to prepare for the move was installing an extra heavy duty power master starter. Next thing during inspection for moving prep, I was told the flywheel needed to be replaced. I know now this particular starter, although correct, was not the thing to do as simply not enough space. All shops back home who would normally be able to do couldn't as in temp locations with lifts too small thanks to tornadoes less than year earlier destroying all their actual shops. I was finally able to locate one place about an hour away, but they were backed up to where past my moving date. One of longtime shops said it would make it to AL. Literally, it did ~ maybe 10 mi over TN line and additional 3 mi to tire shop before not starting anymore. Of course it was smack dab in everyone's way at the tire shop ~ didn't even know wrecker service in area. Started calling diesel mechanics and trans shops doing ? #1 if capable of doing flywheel and #2 when could do it. Every shop was min of 3 wks out before could even get my truck into ~ simply not an option ~ had just moved here, had multiple trailers as my workers had been bringing things here, and was solo as our closing had been pushed back. Basically transient in trailer's living quarters. Any day without truck meant being absolutely stranded and unable to do what needed to be done with xl truck. After 3 hrs of phone calls, thought I was up a creek. I found one place who would be able to have brought to them, but week+ before it would be complete. By grace of the universe stumbled across contact info for owner of Mechanic on Wheels LLC ~ Corey Worrall. He was super nice giving me hope as said could have it done by Tues (now end of day on Thurs) ~ miracle as could survive shortened time without truck. Located wrecker service prior to speaking to them, and was able to get them to redirect my drop off location to the actual physical shop for Corey and Mechanic on Wheels LLC. The truck was dropped by 430, and Corey had called me with his initial thoughts shortly after. Fri morning received was told flywheel actually looked ok and issue appeared to be giant starter had put on it back home just weeks earlier (maybe started 10 times since installation). I agreed to putting stock sized but heavy duty starter on to see if flywheel had been damaged too badly by power master. Thankfully it had not. On Fri expected completion had changed from Tues to Mon. But received a call on Sun letting saying had worked on over weekend in order to get it back to me due to my situation. It was back in my hands by 7 pm Sun evening. Simply no words as to how shocked and appreciative I was for them doing so as being stranded even 4 days was living nightmare. If ride share had been available where gooseneck was at, wouldn't have been so detrimental. But wasn't and I had no way to get around or even get to a rental. Were even so kind to get back to me due to my circumstances. Best part of all is work done was amazing ~ more than just swapping starter out. Did diagnostics truck so if anything else was an issue could be done even though thought all was good from move prep work done. There were other little things to do, but all were things able to be done within a week and safely could wait until got another car or person down here with me so not stranded again. Pricing was right on point for what normally would've paid. Heavy duty normal sized starter put on came with lifetime warranty but also with yr labor guarantee. I'm quite thankful all other more established older shops had been booked out so far as wouldn't have run across Mechanics on Wheels LLC and Corey Worrall had I been able to get into one of them. Been week since truck was finished, haven't done ton of driving until 2 days ago, but had huge smile as racing down road as running best it had in years like how it was when got it new. I am definitely going to be referring them to anyone coming thru area needing a mobile mechanic, but also to everyone needing a normal shop too. They do work on gas engines also so glad found someone to meet all needs in area even though wish wasn't due to craziness went thru. Wouldn't hesitate at all to have them work on anything ever; I hope they have a long future of being a super successful physical shop too.

STOP !! DON'T BRING YOUR CAR OR TRUCK HERE! I brought my truck here to just have my timing set and…read moremy voltage set on my throttle position sensor. When I went to pick up my truck nothing was done that I asked to have done instead a new thermostat housing was put on my truck and a bracket for the alternator which neither I asked to have done charged me $750 when I went to pick up my truck and ran like crap tried to drive it home and it overheated. I was charged a cooling fee and there wasn't even any coolant put into my truck when I checked the coolant level when it overheated on the way home there was no coolant in there I had to get water from a nearby house to put into my truck when I get back to the shop an argument pursued between myself and the owner Alex told me to go outside and we almost had a fist fight said to me what do you care your uncle paid for it anyway come to find out there is no cooler in the truck as I discovered the other day the wrong bolts were put into my thermostat housing so cool it has been leaking out of my thermostat this whole time which actually fried my new water pump that I bought 6 months ago and put in and I had to replace it the other day anyway I left the truck there after our arguments did the things I asked to get done in the first place got done when I went to pick the truck up it drove normal like it should I never asked to have a thermostat housing put on or a new alternator bracket who is heard of $750 to change a thermostat and put a bracket on this is ridiculous now when I went to change my water pump the other day that broke because cuz my thermostat has been leaking the whole time I discovered that the wrong size bolts were put into my thermostat housing Now I can't get Any bolts into my thermostat it's been stripped out it keeps leaking. When I went to do the water pump for the second time I discovered the work that was done on the throttle position sensor he just use wire connectors didn't even bother to wrap them with tape or anything just left them exposed this place does real shoddy work I would not bring you will be overcharged and they'll just do what they feel like doing to your car and disregard anything you ask them to do hopefully when they see this I'll give them the opportunity to fix my thermostat housing where they stripped out the bolts and put a helicoil in there or something so I can get my thermostat on or I will be seeking legal action to get my $750 back . I'm tired of getting dragged over the coals I brought my truck there because Alex had done some work for me in the past before he owned this business and he did a good job that's why I brought it back to him. Come to find out he didn't even do the work of my truck this time when I went to pick my truck up the first time there was hoses disconnected that go to the charcoal canister when asked about it the mechanic that worked on it didn't even know where they went now ask yourself what mechanic does it know what hoses go to a charcoal canister it's just the kind of person you want working on your car? I read the reviews and they did something similar to another man and elderly veteran they charged him a coolant fee and when he got home he didn't even have coolant in his vehicle and was ridiculously overcharged to replace an upper and lower radiator hose. I wouldn't bring my car here if it was the last place on Earth. You've been warned proceed at your own risk. I'm going to leave reviews on every review site possible so people are aware of these hacks until someone contacts me about fixing my truck the right way the $750 worth way I was charged.
