She wasn't rushed and actually listened to me. Her bedside manner is awesome. And you can just tell that she's a wonderful person when you meet her. I was having massive nose bleeds at the time of my appointment. I was 8 weeks pregnant and my nose wouldn't stop bleeding. She tried to cauterize it but decided it would be better for me to see an ENT(ear, nose, throat) doctor. She called the ENT right in front of me and said I needed to be seen immediately. She got me in that afternoon. She actually wanted to help me (and did help me)! She didn't just rush through our appointment and tell me to see an ENT. She made it happen. I was seen 20 min before my appointment and her assistant Jennifer was comprehensive and professional and thoughtful setting me up well to visit with Price. Price was the consummate professional healthcare provider in an old-school sort of way. Calm, collected, compassionate, engaged, engageable, professional, considerate. She is a deep and patient listener and willing to share her own personal perspectives (with modesty) as she fine tunes her focus on me and my needs. (I deeply appreciate the easy-going, good-natured give and take.) She took her time to develop her understanding of my condition through conversation and physical exam to rule out stroke and other possibilities. Her easy-going, relationship-building approach was so reminiscent of how doctors used to behave--how doctors used to interact. I was, frankly, blown away by her humanity as I haven't seen that high a level of quality care for a long while. She sensed instantly that I am a collaborative sort of patient who shares in the health care examination process by providing broad and specific information and even propose hypotheses. As if right on cue, she took all those data and fielded them deftly, providing insights and perspectives and leading to a diagnosis that felt on target. Rarely do I find a doctor who is so openly willing to share in the healthcare process with their patients. Dr. Price is every bit that rare doctor who is exclusively there for her patients' well-being. As I departed, I asked if she was accepting new patients, and essentially she told me she was full. I am already set up to start with another doctor in the coming months (also very well-regarded), but will try to squeeze my way into be becoming Dr. Price's newest patient as she is essentially everything one could hope for in a PCP.

He always makes a clear diagnosis and prognosis. You will be healed unless it's something out of his control. Dr. Purush is very friendly. He listens to his patients carefully. He has a vast knowledge, and over 40 years of experience. He has good communication skills. He is compassionate and has empathy. He shows attention to detail. He has strong ethical standards. He has strong problem-solving skills. He has strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. He remains calm under pressure. His patient-centered approach is without question. Dr Purush is one of a few doctors at YRMC (Prescott) that won Physician of the Year by his peers (Now Dignity Health YRMC). Every time you visit him, you must bring documentation proving your insurance. You must also bring an up-to-date list of all your medications and supplements. I got established with this office after a recommendation from a friend. I was told I would be…read moreseeing a part time nurse practitioner and I was fine with that so I went in for my first appointment and I was told I need to establish as a patient and there was a $150.00 yearly fee which I paid. I was then told I would have to return for my physical after I did my testing and bloodwork which I also did. When I returned I had my physical paid a copay and all seemed well. The following year I went back for my physical and again had a copay which I paid that day. I went for testing bloodwork etc... then About a month ago I received a bill. I was confused on what I owed so I called the number on the bill multiple times and never received a call back I also called the office and they took messages for billing. Finally I received a call stating that I was paying for something from almost a year ago! I don't remember any outstanding bills being mentioned when I visited before?!? I have decided to move myself to a place that doesn't have an extra fee to establish and then has a mixed up billing system run by people who won't communicate. I have excellent insurance and have always paid my bills on time. The practice seems ok, nothing special but the billing system is very concerning as well as the extra fee. I didn't see that I received any type of special service that warranted an extra fee.

When I came back up to prescott I got a knee replacement from another Doctor here and had a bad experience. So another medical professional suggested I should go see Dr. Williams again and he help me so much and doesn't just want to rush me into another Knee Replacement. After studying my Xrays carefully he stated that he wanted to try a more conservative approach with some shots to calm down the pain and clean all the junk out of my knee. Then he suggest looking into a lesser surgery on my knee. His whole staff is great and I love his more conservative approach to helping me!

When I first broke my kneecap, I went to Dr. Chun at Granite Ortho. He was rude and arrogant from the first visit. He did repair my broken patella. Sadly, two weeks later, my patella repair rebroke. The surgeon did not want to repair my kneecap a second time. He actually refused and said it would heal itself. Well, that, sadly, was not the case. Dr. Chun is no longer with Granite Ortho. Dr. Pifer required an MRI of my knee. Now, he believes that it is best to leave it as is for the next three years until the arthritis begins to cause noticeable discomfort. At that time, he will do a complete knee replacement. Today, Dr. Pifer gave me a steroid shot to ease the pain. My knee now feels fine. It still looks a mess, but it is working, and I can climb stairs with only mild discomfort rather than extreme pain. He indicated that the average time could be from 2 to 5 years without pain. Lastly, Dr. Pifer has prescribed a course of rehabilitation, something my 1st dr. did not even suggest.

My first visit with him after firing my last PCP was very revealing. He immediately told me, after seeing a picture of me when I was 50 yrs old, that the answer to the growing fat around my gut was to go back to the same kind of diet I had always been on to stay so lean and in good shape for my entire life up until my first hip replacement at 53 yrs oldl. Zero suger and very low carbs while working out carefully everyday. I have done that and now only eat two meals/day of scrambled eggs with meat and an avocado along with a piece of fruit. And staying hydrated! I do my PT exercises and ride my stationary bike as well as I get out of my apt and walk in the sunlight. So, now I am beginning to lose that fat and now have the hope of getting much better with his astute medical advice. I have full confidence that with his continued help I will solve most of medical problems and once again get back in shape to be able to get out to serve in my community like I had always done before. Tess Barnes, NP, is absolutely amazing! I was skeptical about my initial appointment, but she was thorough, compassionate, and asked questions about things I never thought about mentioning. I truly loved the fact that my visit was not rushed and that she actually took her time with me. Referrals, labs, and everything in between were covered during my visit and I did leave rather impressed. The clinic is located in an unexpected area, but once inside, I was pleasantly surprised. It's clean and very welcoming. Staff are all very professional and that says a lot about a doctor's office in my book. I was so impressed that my husband (who is very skeptical about his medical providers) also scheduled an appointment with Tess once I told him how happy I was about going to see her. As long as new patients are being accepted, I will definitely refer our friends to More MD in Prescott!
