We spent over 6 hours with Don, looking over a 100+ year old house in Leavenworth. Our experience was outstanding. Firstly, Don arrived on time, introduced himself to the seller and then waited for us to arrive. He was friendly and very informative, and listened to our situation. We then spent 6 hours, following Don around the whole house (inside and out, attic and crawl space) and not only learnt a ton about the house itself, but also about code standards, common issues, repair techniques and best practices. We left feeling like regardless of whether the sale went through, we were far more knowledgeable and well equipped to be looking at property. Then, the report Don sent us (he created over the weekend) was 130 pages long, mostly customized to the house we were inspecting, including photos and recommended actions. However, it also contained a summary with a really simple list of the "key" things which should either be fixed, reviewed or replaced. In addition, Don's online tool allowed us to create a report for the seller, listing out which items we want fixed, or what price adjustment we expect, based on his report findings. Don Hester conducted a thorough inspection and produced an excellent report for our recently purchased house. The inspection required over 4 hours and addressed all aspects of the house. Don was able and willing to focus on specific questions and concerns I had about the house. He was very professional and clearly answered my questions. Don did a fantastic job! We bought a new home and it was time for our 1 year warranty checkup on our home and being new homeowners we knew little of what we should have our builder fix as part of the warranty and with Don's inspection we learned a few things were not done correctly and needed to be fixed. We would have never known this because we knew nothing of electrical and about what needed to be "weather proofed" and he found things that if found later would have come out of our pockets, thankfully Don gave is a very detailed report with pictures that we could just how our builder, it was great!
