Agents worst nightmare!!! ;) Let's see our agent gave us a list of three different inspectors (NCW…read moreHome Inspections LLC was not one of them), one number no longer was active, second number the inspector was unreachable never returned our call so we went with the third and last because we didn't know any better. The inspector missed MOLD, which was very obvious to someone moving from the Westside. When I pointed it out he acted as if I had lost my mind and that it was nothing. We closed the deal, but after the first major rainfall we realized that we had a leak in the roof right above where the ceiling was moldy. With the next home purchase I decided to go with Don Hester, NCW Home Inspections LLC. He is absolutely AMAZING! Incredibly detail oriented, and will take the time to inspect everything that is accessible. He does not cut corners. On a personal level he is fun to talk to and is willing to have you tag along with him through out the inspection. His reports are long (around 100 pages), detailed and accompanied with pictures. He might be a bit more expensive than most ($50-$100 more, depending on the size of the property), but there is a good reason for that. My feeling is that on such a large purchase as a home it's worth to pay a little more for an exceptional inspector that will save you much more than you paid for him in the long run. He works for YOU and not for the agents. His inspections are there to educate you about your soon to be purchase and not to steer you in any direction. Great person and company. I 100% recommend him. Thanks Don.

He was very accommodating, willing to do inspections on evenings or weekends. Once the inspection was done, he had the report back to us that evening. it was a new construction and even so, he remained very thorough and found a number of areas that needed to be fixed. Cost of our inspection was $375 for home that's less than 2000 square feet. This was pretty in line with what we found when we called around and for the convenience, it was worth it. He also gave us an evacuation plan and for folk in his area, has information about who to call to get utilities hooked up - for those in Yakima, he unfortunately was unable to get us this info. He gets the five star bump for the quick turn around and his flexibility. Definitely a good one to check out when you need an inspection.
