We ordered bridal bouquets ($85.00-$175.00 USD), boutonnières ($20.00 USD), orchid leis ($12.00 USD), monsteras ($5.00 USD) and stems ($2.99 USD). There was also a $50.00 USD booking fee (which we thought was a deposit). We provided Mia with our colour scheme, then let her pick what was best. If you buy balloons and don't have a helium tank this place will do it for a very expensive price! It's 90% cheaper to buy a tank and do it yourself!! Wish they went over the prices before they started putting air in them. 11 balloons cost me nearly 100$ and I brought my own balloons. read more

Their prices were INCREDIBLY reasonable - $50/small centrepiece, a 2ft installation of florals on our wooden arch $120, and bridal bouquets starting at $150. They delivered to Kualoa Ranch for us for $50. Ask for Mia when you call the store. It was a little hard to get a hold of them, but I used their Instagram most @nex_flowershop. Perspective in presentation is not the best for Navy Exchange Florist. I'll go back to the mom and pop florist who takes pride in what they do no matter the cost. If it's a 5.00 placing a bow on a bouquet of roses a mom and pop florist takes pride in all they do. Unfortunately, NEX Florist does not take pride on servicing our men and women (who the bouquet I purchased for) with pride. If you're getting your wedding flowers, book with Mia! She's super amazing, and very professional. My day of coordinator had such great feedback about her regarding set up and their timeliness. Have a clear idea of what you want however, because if you give too much room for creative freedom, it may result in something that's not of expectation. I was an easy bride with no set idea in mind. Our boutonnieres were simply a single callow lily with a pin, and while it matched our color story, it was just too simplistic once I looked back at photos. My husband and I went in for our consultation. They had a lot of selections for leis. We told them what flowers we wanted and what colors. When they delivered it they were better than I imagined. The floral arrangement for our sweetheart table was better than I could describe. I also went with a cascading bouquet and a tossing bouquet. I thought the tossing bouquet was going to be a few flowers bound together with a simple ribbon to it. Turns out it was a beautiful bouquet with the same flowers as my bouquet but they also put whimsical branches around the flowers which I thought made it look perfect. It was so beautiful that I didn't want to give away. When we received the flowers I liked that they labeled everything. From the boutonnieres to the bridesmaid's flowers. We didn't have to wonder what everything was. I also like the NEX flower shop because they are very reasonable with no taxes. Only thing is you need military sponsorship which is expected with it being in the Navy Exchange. Suzanne worked very closely with us and helped me pick out everything from my bouquet to the little pieces for the hairstyle I wanted. I will never order flowers from here again after being disappointed twice. I went to pick up my Haku lei for graduation and I clearly stated what I wanted on it and didn't get it, there was supposed to be roses and carnations on it and there was no roses on it at all and it was not even full, for the price they wanted to charge me, if I could have found one at another place in that short time I would have asked for a full refund, they refunded me part of it back but I was still not happy the way it looked, I had to go somewhere else and get roses and babies breath to fill in the empty space and make this look full which my daughter was happy the way it looked after I fixed it up. This was the 2nd time that they have messed up and not willing to make it a 3rd just plan to go somewhere else for flowers. If you can't get what the customer is asking for you need to tell them that up front and not when they are there to pick up the order, so disappointed with this place. read more

Ordered flowers here for my wedding. Very simple. 1 bouquet, 1 hair piece, 1 dozen roses to top our cake, then 2 leis for the bride and groom. When the big day came, we went to pick everything up. Bouquet and leis were perfection and everything we dreamed of. The hair piece however was NOT a hair piece. It was several loose tuberose and orchids in white... just laying there in a plastic container. I was horrified. I specifically told our designer Mia that my hair would be DOWN so I needed a hair piece that's put together and ready to clip in. This was not going to work and I was STRESSED. However the very nice lady at the counter saw how upset I was and offered to make me a new order. She asked what I wanted, which I showed her. She said it looks like you want more of a gardenia style not orchids or tuberose, which she knew exactly what it should be and promised me she'd make me a new one at no additional charge ASAP. Within an hour, she text me from her personal cell phone that it was done so I went to pick it up. it was PERFECT and gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. I cannot thank this lady enough and I wish I could remember her name, but in the blurry aftermath of a wedding, I have forgotten it. She singlehandedly saved my wedding. Because if the hair isn't perfect, it's ruined. Also, I was VERY disappointed Mia wasn't there when we came in to pick up, nor did she follow up or check in with us ever again. Not very impressed with her. The prices here are good, so if everyone who worked there was as caring and had amazing service like that one lady, it would be the best florist in the world. read more

I began working with the Exchange a year prior to my wedding hosted July 2018. I communicated with the florists via email up until the month prior to the wedding. I received two email addresses to contact, after no response from the first email, I contacted Suzanne who responded in a timely manner. I initially wanted plumerias for my flowers and sent pictures of what I wanted, but Suzanne advised against it since they are such delicate flowers. I accepted this advice and changed my order to include oriental lilies and orchids. I sent new pictures with updated arrangements I wanted. Suzanne and I were on the same page with creating my vision. My last interaction with the Exchange was in December 2017 when I initially placed my deposit. It was now May and I had not heard anything from Suzanne for several months. In May, I received an email from the manager stating Suzanne was out for medical leave and I would work with a new florist, Mia, who would contact me within a few days. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called the shop to touch base since I would have to relay my vision to a new person. I also needed to make some major changes to my order in regards to the amount of flowers I wanted. Mia was on lunch at the time of my call and I was assured she would call me back once she was off her break. Again, I received no call and waited another week before reaching back out. This time, Mia was on vacation and was not due to return until June 29th. Mind you, my wedding date was July 20th and time was ticking. I asked the lady on the phone if I could relay the changes I needed to make to my order to her and she stated only Mia could update my account. I was then promised she would call upon return of vacation. AGAIN, there was no call. Finally I called on July 1, and got in touch with Mia. I expressed my frustration and she offered to meet me in person. I explained I was on the east coast and would not arrive until July 12th. We agreed to meet once I arrived to the island to go over my flower order. At the time of the call, I explained that I would need to make changes to my order and we would discuss what I needed once we met. Upon my arrival, I went to the Exchange and met with Mia. I had explained the changes I wanted to make to my order with the lilies and orchids. Apparently, when my information was transferred to Mia, she only received my original emails and not the updated ones. She then stated all my flowers had already been ordered and I would been receiving plumerias. I was a little taken back since the point of me meeting with her was to discuss what I wanted for my wedding; I couldn't believe they were already ordered. Since they were ordered, and it adhered to my original idea, I just went with it. When I received the flowers, I was happy with the arrangements and they were beautifully put together. I even received an extra bridesmaids bouquet and an extra lei by mistake. Since I got what I wanted in the first place, I was very happy. I was obsessed with my haiku because it was everything I ever imagined it to be. It could not have been a hawaiian wedding without my plumerias and haiku. I only wish the communication from the Exchange was a little more often and more organized. read more
