Since moving to the East side of the city, I have been putting off finding a dentist and honestly only discovered ENF out of necessity and panic due to a broken crown. But what was a not so great moment turned into a great find and a new dentist! And oddly enough, they are located right beside my PT office, so it seems like a weird destiny based thing...and all it took was my 20+ year old crown to break on a turkey meatball on a Thursday afternoon. I am super thankful for the staff and Doctors here! I called at 12pm on a Thursday afternoon looking for a dentist to help with a cracked crown. I was not expecting much as I would be a new patient, so I knew there would be a process of getting in. I had a trip in a few days and would be away for over a week, so I was really hoping for immediate help, but was also ready to cancel my trip if needed. Well, the team at ENF got me in within 2 hours and had a temporary crown in place within 3.5 hours of my initial call. INSANE! Not only did they squeeze me in as a new patient, they were PHENOMENAL from the phone call to check-in to services performed to check out and beyond. Legit the most helpful, kind and friendly group of folks I have ever encountered at a dental office. I now have a follow up for my permanent, and have established the ENF team as my go-to dental spot moving forward. Overall, never thought I would be excited about having a Dentist again...but here I am!

When the doctor arrived, she was quick to build a plan for me. Best of all, America assured me that she would build quotes for me for any treatment that would not be fully covered by my insurance, and followed through with that. I now have multiple follow up appointments already scheduled, and a good idea of how much I will need to pay at each appointment. I would recommend anyone book an appointment here.

I went back to get the crowns with my fiance, and we left after 45 minutes (so we waited that long for an appointment.) We overheard the doctor telling more than one person that they needed crowns (for things like tooth pain??). You should not be able to hear the doctor talking about procedures with patients in the waiting room. Also, one of the secretaries called me and left a voicemail in Spanish. When I asked her why she did this she said my name sounded Hispanic. Really? It's Russian. Needless to say, I got a second opinion from my childhood dentist. She looked at my teeth and said, oh that's easy. You just need bonds (which are about $300.) No x-rays either. Think this guy is trying to get some money from people!

Your first appointment won't be a cleaning (something I've never experienced before). They'll take X-rays of your teeth, and a dentist will give you an examination. That's when Dr. Kang told me I had cavities in 8 of my teeth. He wanted to get me in immediately and the receptionist asked if I was available the next day for fillings. Dr. Kang was very nice, thorough, professional, and is clearly a very smart guy, but I wanted to get a second opinion because I had never even had a cavity before, and I wasn't okay with spending almost $400 (with insurance) to drill 8 of my teeth. I saw another dentist who said I had 2 cavities. I chose him over Dr. Kang. Dr. Kang may be a good fit for you depending on your dental preferences and needs, but I prefer someone more medically conservative and an office that doesn't use pressure tactics.

I came here one week and the receptionist was RUDE and told me to come back because she couldn't verify my insurance. Mind you, this should've been done before I went to the office. I come back weeks later. This happened. He attempted to pull my teeth out with his hands, no tools. Kept telling me I have a nice mouth in a creepy way and referred to me as "baby" instead of my name. I let it pass because I needed my tooth out. Not super thrilled with the quality (after a few months, it still doesn't feel "natural" like some of the better crowns I've had), but functionally it gets the job done. My big gripe here is with their billing and their inability or willingness to hold themselves accountable for unacceptable billing practices. They gave me a "good faith estimate" on my crown that I paid up front, having already had all of my insurance information, but apparently quoted me as though I were in-network when they knew I was not (their words). I agreed to the work thinking it would cost around $900. (Paid in advance of service.) A few weeks after my crown, I got a bill for over $800. Turns out I was NOT in-network. When I discovered this and confronted the office manager with the information, I just received excuses: "it's not our fault you didn't know you were out-of-network", "we only gave you an estimate", "we made no mistakes", etc. Clearly mistakes were made. I was billed nearly double what they said it would cost when I agreed to the service and they refused to take any accountability. I would obviously have shopped around before agreeing to almost double that initial quote if I had known in advance it would be that expensive. After my initial discussion with the office manager, I was told she would call back about my proposed resolution. I've called back twice since, and have not been able to get ahold of her. This has ultimately led to me filing a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Will update this review with a resolution.
