Clinton Township Family Dental is the best dentist office I have been too, the staff Dr. Rabban are knowledgeable, compassionate, and made my expirenced exceptional. First of all the office looks exactly the same as it has since Dr Mindy owned it, no new renovations have been done. It's a very very clean office so things look new because they are taken care of. Second the walls are all full walls and there are surgical grade air purifiers visible that keep the air in the office super clean. Also the hygienists have vacuum systems for when they are polishing so that it vacuums up the aerosols that may get into the air to help keep the air clean. When I learned this I felt very safe. Dr. Rabban goes above and beyond any other dentist I've been too to keep her patients safe. Third the front desk staff was very transparent with the cost of all procedures and the estimated insurance coverage. They made sure I was aware every step of the way, and I've witenessed them do the same thing to other patients as well. I understand that my insurance company is a outside party that is not connected to the Dental office and they may not pay what they originally told me or the office (as insurance trys not to pay per usual) Dr Rabbans compassion and care exceed that of any dentist I have seen in the past, her warm personality and Dental expertise make me feel at ease when I'm in the Dental chair. Afterward, I repeatedly returned for nearly 3 weeks with severe pain, lockjaw, difficulty eating and swallowing, and worsening symptoms, but I was repeatedly reassured it was normal. I genuinely thought I was going to die. I ultimately ended up hospitalized with a severe throat infection, cellulitis and an abscess of odontogenic origin. Months later, I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis of my jaw and required emergency debridement surgery and prolonged antibiotic treatment--approximately 9 months continuously and closer to a year on and off. Over a year later, I'm still seeing specialists and infectious disease doctors and dealing with the physical and emotional consequences of everything that happened. I went in because cold water bothered me, occasionally. I never imagined how drastically my life would change afterward. I highly suggest getting a copy of your records and looking up your provider's license and publicly available licensing history.

From the front check in desk to the post operation recovery room. The staff was polite, kind and attentive. My financial obligation was as I expected and I paid that before the procedure was done. I have dental anxiety from having traumatic physical abuse from a dentist when I was under age 7. I would consider this office compassionate and understanding to my dental anxiety. I highly recommend this office for your oral surgery care. Every dental situation is different and mine was not uncomplicated but went well. I had a procedure done, they verified my cost after insurance. I paid in full the day of, completed the procedure and was dont call us we will call you in 3 months to come back in for a checkup. Odd, but ok...... 3 Months go by, then 4, so I call them. Transfered to schedulder left a voicemail, no response. A week later rinse and repeat and guess what, same thing, NO RESPONSE. Another month goes by and my dentist is calling me to come in and complete my procedure and I tell them I would love to by Alamat wont return my calls and the scheduler has to set up my final Alamat appt to get the go ahead for the dentist. The dentist calls them and oh lawd they finally call me. Not the scheduler of course. The poor girl at the reception desk that probably just got laid into by my dentist's office. Flash forward another 2 months. I get an email from them stating that I owe them $300 more dollars and somehow I paid them money a week before the follow up appt that i hadnt even been able to schedule. Go to billing history, see that there is nothing in there system showing how I owe them any money. Call them, they cant explain, and say they will have their biller call me. Yea ok, just like their scheduler called me. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go here. They scam you and force all information to the phone where you cannot get any documented evidence of what was said.

The work was quick, excellent and priced fair. What I really liked were how nice the people were! Every single person that you have to interact with were kind, knowledgeable and understanding. The actual office environment is very inviting & bright with books and artifacts to put you at ease. I found the music to be a bit loud in the waiting room but I'm sure if I said something they would have toned it down. DDS, Ray McKinley wrote a fascinating book; you can read it or purchase it while you are in the office.

Then they did all kinds of procedures that I didn't approve of - thousands of dollars of work was recommended. I told them I didn't approve any of these procedures done. I was given a credit and later had a tooth filled and a different tooth pulled. So the credit I had was used up. I went to a new Dentist this week they did X-rays etc and found two teeth that need to be removed and recommended another Dental Surgeon which I met with today. The charges for the two teeth is going to be less than I paid for one with McKinley. So in closing - the prices of McKinley is way to high and appear to only want to do expensive procedures. Very disappointing. I will say this the Dentist did do a good job as far as the removal of the tooth. Unfortunately the tooth she filled is now one of the teeth that will have to be pulled so I wasted a lot of money having it filled.

I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed in one go, and it could not have gone better imo. I basically had no pain afterwards, but made sure to follow their care instructions they had provided. The consultation is the tough part, they're usually booked up, but once you get through that, they have plenty of dates for the actual surgery. The entire staff was very sweet, and got things done pretty quickly. I really appreciated two things - that they went through everything with you, and that they are very professional and do things quickly so you aren't stuck waiting too long. I really loved that during the consultation and after the surgery, they went over everything, so I wasn't worried at home. It's also super convenient that when you call, they have an extension just for pre- and post-op questions. I left a message once and they got back to me within a few hours. Cannot recommend them enough, can't explain what a relief it was to have such a phenomenal experience!
