The customer placed their card by the reader, to receive the refund (as is usual for most places) but the guy behind the counter smacked his hand away and told him that he said not to put his card there. I could tell it took the customer aback. As soon as the customer left, the man behind the counter called him a "stupid animal." I confronted him, asking him why he feels it's alright to put his hands on someone, and his justification is that he told the customer to not put his card by the reader. He then said that he should've punched him instead. I asked him again, why he thought it was okay to put his hands on someone, and he repeated the same thing, but this time included that he should punch ME in the head. Absolutely ridiculous behavior. I won't be returning here, and I suggest you don't either. Man behind the counter was an old short guy with a beat up newsboy cap, chains and a big silver cross around his neck. Stay away from him if you aren't white.

Both Lion and Renee are the most wonderful humans and helped bring my vision to life. The dresser is a stunning green and I asked Lion if he could add some gold handles for me (totally let him take the wheel on that) -- super pleased with the result. The night stand was a deep cherry color before and I asked if he could refurbish it and paint it a dark teal for an additional cost. It came out amazing and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I would without a doubt purchase from them again.

Also, they are extremely over priced. They wanted $90 for a copy of Deja Vu. The woman said it was an "original" and that their price was half of what you would find on ebay. Well, I knew she was full of it, but I checked ebay, and did not find one copy over $25. They wanted $50 for a piss poor copy of Every Picture Tells a Story. $125 for a Beatles record (i think VI) with extreme water damage. You can get Beatle records for a song (no pun intended) all day. But honestly I think it may be for Brooklynites that have so much money that they don't know what to do with it. They have done all the sorting out for you, to bring you a collection of gorgeous finds. The owners Sharan and Jaron are true cheerleaders for their treasures. They are as excited as you to talk about your dream piece. Unlike so many shops these days with lack luster owners who are "over it", they are enthusiastic to teach you about their stock and how they have refinished and restored it. I have worked with them many times over the years for lighting, tables and collectibles, it's always an experience and not just a purchase.
