This mural is a long mural that is located off of a busy street. There is no good place to park and get out. I had to be really creative. This mural was painted by Carl Leck in 2014. The artist received help from Eli Lilly employees as part of their Global Day of Service and Vibrant Corridors project.
It is a nice piece with a lot going on. When speaking of the piece, Leck said. "Man can construct and reshape his environment, but without consistent maintenance and upkeep, nature will take back what is rightfully hers. Mother Nature persistently reminds us, "nature wins." The mural shows a long strain of vines, flowers and roots with trees breaking through the surface towards sunlight. All you see is the base of the tree though. It is a very detailed piece.
This is is not a very long stop, especially considering its location, and you probably could accomplish what you want to in the comfort of your vehicle. With that being said, it is best to plan out stops at many of the other wonderful murals in the area to best maximize your time. read more
