This mural is the work of Tasha Beckwith, a popular local artist. It was painted in 2020 and is located on the side of a vacant/abandoned strip mall wall. Its completion was delayed due to COVID and the artist had to finish it in hotter temperatures than she would have liked. This mural is not in the best of neighborhoods, but I did not feel unsafe or anything like that though. It was more just the neighborhood is a bit underserved or rundown.
It is a pretty simple mural with a positive message "Keep Moving Forward". It is very colorful and has many different style arrows, most of which are point forward. It is a simple mural, but is still very nice.
Since the mural is on an abandoned strip mall, you can take your pick of parking in its old run-down parking lot. It along with all the other murals on the abandoned building are trying to add some beauty to an area that is in desperate need of it.
Anyway, as with most murals I have visited, this is probably not a very long stop. I was there less than 3 minutes. You may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other wonderful murals in the area to maximize your time and trip. Luckily, there are a lot of other intriguing murals right around the corner, on the same vacant strip mall and there is also another one right across the street. read more
