First and foremost, they have clean restrooms. As you enter the store, you are greeted by one of their many greeters. No sneaking into the bathroom without someone saying "Hi" to you. They have lots of stuff on display. The aquariums were great to look at with the various fish on display. They had the African safari area. They have lots of fishing and hunting clothes and supplies for sale. They know how to prolong your pit stop. It's a great place to stop at. The only thing they didn't have were West Virginia refrigerator magnets for crazy road trip tourists like me. After leaving, I found a Kohl's around the corner. Cabela's is much better than Kohl's anytime!

But then, a google search while I was waiting at the laundromat revealed that Vance Outdoors had my model in stock! There was even a cursory guide to buying firearms via the Internet on the site itself, which was extremely helpful as I had never purchased a firearm before. Due to my general incompetence, I was still a bit confused. I called the Online Help number listed on the site. Usually when I call a store like this, I'm on hold for at least 10 minutes and there are about 5 "Let me transfer you"s. Not so with Vance Outdoor! They picked up on the second ring and got me to the right department within a minute. Having worked retail before, I am able to appreciate how insanely fast that is. Hot damn, Vance Outdoor! Greg from the internet team is phenomenal. He was able to answer all of my questions concerning the FFL transfer and give me some helpful tips about my purchase.
