Although they have many options, I decided to have the Iced Pistachio Latte. This latte was so delicious and although it tasted like pistachio, I could still taste the espresso. I am always looking forward to going back!

I stopped in recently with my daughter and her boyfriend to grab a sandwich for me and açaí bowls for them. I initially wanted a sandwich that I was informed they were out of so I opted for the Avocado Sunrise and I'm kinda glad the other sandwich was not available because it was excellent. The employees here aren't always very friendly or welcoming and could definitely improve their customer service skills, but I try to never judge people for who they are because who knows what's going on in their lives, but I'd say you'd get a lot more repeat new customers if that was corrected and if they leave their attitudes and/or problems at home. The atmosphere is cool as it's located in an old building that was remodeled years ago and they did an excellent job of keeping all of its charm and glory. I highly recommend that you try all of their deserts, but tbh with you anything you get you'll be glad you did. Enjoy :)

An employee greeted us and said that we could sit at whatever table we preferred. The menu listed foods such as avocado toast, hashes, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toasts, salads, sandwiches, non-alcoholic beverages, and more. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Strawberry French toast - 4.5 stars - The slices of French toast were made from Challah bread dipped in cinnamon and vanilla and were a good-sized serving. They were topped with strawberries and whipped cream. On the side was syrup. Bacon - 5 stars - We each ordered this side of bacon. The slices of bacon were thick and crispy. You may order non-crispy bacon if you want. Sausage Gravy & Biscuit - 3 stars - My husband took only a couple of bites, and the rest was thrown away. The biscuits were thin, the gravy was thin and "flavorless," and not much sausage was included. He described this entree as "bad," and I thought that it tasted OK. On the side were hash browns that he said were probably purchased and not made in-house. Orange juice - 4.5 stars - Fresh and not overly pulpy The total price was $28 plus a cash tip.

Coming back for a second visit over Memorial Day weekend honestly confirmed everything I thought…read morethe first time around. What started in January as a random stop traveling back from Florida has quickly turned into one of those places that feels impossible to pass up when we are anywhere nearby. This place was busy all afternoon, and honestly, I think that says everything about what Killing Tree has built out there. Great wine, great food, live music, a beautiful property, and a crowd that genuinely seemed happy to be there. It feels less like a winery and more like a community gathering spot. Shannon took care of us this visit and was fantastic from beginning to end. The fact that she remembered me from months ago completely caught me off guard and immediately made us feel welcomed back. That kind of personal touch matters and you can tell the staff truly cares about the experience people are having. The pizza was outstanding, the BLT with turkey added on was piled high, and somehow that bottle of Gosh Dang disappeared way too fast sitting out there in the sunshine. There is just something special about this place. Relaxed, welcoming, beautiful, and incredibly easy to lose track of time at. Already looking forward to trip number three.

BF and I were trying to do everything Amish and local for our Valentine's weekend in Dresden, OH…read moreand we picked this place based on their really nice website. Gotta say, the website was much more impressive than the actual place. This wasn't too far of a drive from Dresden Inn but coming back, we got turned around because of the lack of lights, signage and skinny roads. They have plenty of parking and the string of lights outside was cute. I asked the waitress TWO times whether the sweet potato fries for the sandwich entree was extra and she confirmed TWICE that it was not an extra cost. Welp, upon paying, guess what? It was $4 extra! Just look at my picture to see that like 12 skinny AF fries are NOT worth the extra charge! Their house chips were great. I ordered the brie & jam sandwich and it was filling and delicious. I also ordered a crispy chicken salad and was pretty disappointed at the quality. I abhor cheese shavings on salad (they don't belong on salads!) and there was just mounds of very processed looking cheese. There was not enough chicken pieces for the price, too many croutons, no onion or enough tomato; just cheap lettuce. They don't serve regular glasses of water here. It was all crushed ice! We suspected they were just pre-wine slushies! This was really odd. There's not real wait service but since we sat upstairs, people needed to bring stuff up so I did tip a usual amount. I wanted to experience more of a country, made from scratch type of setting so was not too happy with the very Chilis/Applebee quality and presentation of their food.

Apparently the inside hasn't changed much in over 50 years, per my husband's aunt. We only came here for ice cream so I can't speak much for the rest of the food and offerings. The ice cream portions are LARGE! I got one scoop, split between 2 different flavors and I barely finished it. Their ice cream selection has a lot of options and definitely be aware it will give you a sugar rush! They offer classic flavors and have rotating seasonal flavors. When we were there, coffee ice cream, my favorite, was on their rotating seasonal flavors. They also had some holiday seasonal flavors, like egg nog and pumpkin pie, since we were visiting around Thanksgiving time. I'd recommend checking their website if you want to know which seasonal flavors are in rotation. The storefront was decorated for Christmas and had a fun display of the town and inside reminds me of Happy Days. Service was relatively quick, and luckily only a few folks inside when we were there; not sure how it is when it's packed. If you like classic diner style vibes and ice cream, I'd recommend you try this place out!
