The camp was unaccommodating about her medication and treated her like a nuisance. Instead of helping her assimilate, giving her empathy and redirecting her they looked at her behavior as a problem to get rid of. I taught Pre-K for 8 years and know one thing. Every child should be treated as you would treat your own. Her illness sometimes makes her a bit restless and moody to no fault of her own. She is only 6 and deserves to be treated like any other child. Just because kids don't fit into a particular mold doesn't mean you discard of them or don't help them. All I want is for her to enjoy her life beyond her circumstances. The job of teachers is to foster each child's gifts and give them a chance. If not your in the wrong profession.

From water safety to learning new swimming techniques, they make sure your child is 100% where they need to be before taking them to the next step. All new swimmers are evaluated and placed in a class level where they fit in, based in their skills. The best thing about the pool? It's indoors! So parents, no need to worry about the sun, having to wait outside for your child to finish their class and best of all they have a play room if you come with siblings. The facility is superb. They have dressing rooms, showers, a sitting area for parents (away from the pool as to not make the kids more nervous) and a little cafeteria area stocked with drinks and food for purchase. They also sell great swim wear and swim supplies. Highly recommend to all parents, whether your kids are new swimmers or just want to learn stronger swimming skills.
