The groomer Darryl got his dogs mixed up and didn't want to do his job since it was the end of the…read moreday. He said that he sees that my dog Bentley hasn't been there in over a year and likes to bite, therefore he wouldn't be completing the grooming. I told him that my puppy has never been there and his name is Rocco. Rocco is 8 months old. Here's pictures of how he groomed my puppy and then told me that he wasn't going to finish because my pup was a little nippy. Stay away or just make sure that you don't go at the end of the day or close to quitting time

I should know better than to shop here by now. I have a big freshwater fish tank, and I buy my…read moresupplies and such from this place and the Petsmart nearby. Petco has a better selection, but the problem is their employees don't know how to properly take care of their tanks. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there to buy a plant or fish, or whatever... I end up with a new and exciting parasite, bacterial bloom or worm infestation. Every time. Last time, every last one of their freshwater tanks had a runaway cyanobacteria (blue/green algae) bloom. I told them what they needed to do in order to fix it, (erythromycin) but they looked at me like I had three heads and blamed the sunlight from a nearby window. No, dude... no. The separate plant tank they have had invasive snails hidden in the cups, and this last visit... I gave it one last shot and ended up with detritus worms like crazy. I will not go back there this year. Maybe I'll try next year and see if they improve.

    Animal Fair Pet Shops

Animal Fair is very easy to miss if you're not looking especially hard. It's a small, quaint little…read moreshop that isn't too far from Aqua-Rama. I wanted to find a tank mate for my gerbil. I bought him as a loner because the other gerbils had been fighting with him at the pet shop he came from. (A declanning) I didn't want to go back to that pet shop, so began shopping around and whilst doing so, came across Animal Fair. They sell a few animal supplies, rodents, birds, kittens, and puppies. Their puppies are of mixed breed, so it doesn't appear that they get their dogs from a puppy mill (which was a good sign to me). The first thing I noticed about Animal Fair was that they are one of the few pet shops in my area that actually has all the rodents separated correctly. Their Syrian hamsters were in tanks alone, they had dwarf hamsters together but not too many in one tank, there was no more than three gerbils per tank, and two guinea pigs per cage. Their puppies looked bright eyed and healthy. Their gerbils were exactly what a gerbil should be. Their coats were shiny and soft, their eyes were wide and bright, they instantly ran to the front of the tank (except the sleeping ones, of course) when I approached - they were playful and curious. Their selection isn't that big at all, but they make up for that in quality of pets. I bought a gerbil the next day and he's been a lot easier to tame than my first. He's already allowing me to handle him and it's not even been a full week. He plays with me already, too. He comes to the front of his cage (I haven't split the tank yet due to quarantine and waiting to buy supplies to do so) when I enter the room and waits patiently for me. He is a joy. I hate to play favoritism, but compared to my first gerbil - who runs and hides upon seeing me - he's a favorite. I am going to be getting another pair from there next week. My only complaints about Animal Fair are that the guinea pigs seemed a bit skittish even for guinea pigs and the employee picked a gerbil up by the base of the tail. She did it carefully, but it was still enough to make my heart skip a beat. They were, also, a bit lacking in supplies.
