Please I warn you do not take your pets for grooming here. When I picked up my dog I did not recognize him. My dog is a Yorkie. They cut him down to skin. There was no style to his cut they just hacked his hair off. There is no way a professional groomer groomed him he was cut last weekend and he is still shaking in fear. If you love your dog DO NOT have them groomed here. I'm just trying to get others to make the same mistake I made. read more

Who doesn't love PetSmart?! Well, if you're allergic to animals, I guess you don't haha. It's such an awesome place to be! The associates are usually pretty helpful, and the store layout makes it easy to find everything you need. I will say that I was disappointed on my last visit with how the groomer didn't honor the pricing that was on the company's website. Might be reconsidering taking my pup there from now on. It's better to honor what you've put out there than to lose a potentially lifelong customer. read more

Another lady walked by as I headed to checkout and stopped to say hello and acknowledge me, and the girl at checkout was super nice! Will not go back for grooming! i took my 3 month old german Shepard to get a bath and a nail trim. She went in all happy and friendly. I was called and told my puppy scratched two groomers later on. Kevin said she was whining in the kennel and scratched him when he was trimming her. She a puppy so whining in the kennel was normal to hear but her scratching him?! That does not sound like my dog at all i thought. When I came to get her there was no whining of any dog in the grooming area..When I proceeded to check my dogs nails after the trim they cut them way too short, they cut my puppies nails and hit the skin. So i wonder why she may have "scratched" him. Do not recommend this petsmart for grooming and highly to not recommend Kevin! read more

I went there to purchase some fish and was treated very unprofessional by both an employee and the Store manager. I the 1-800 hot line and it took until the last week in Jun 2021 before anyone responded back! I will not shop at that store again there needs to be some form of customer service retraining implemented!!! read more

I received a call from a young lady asking if I could come in earlier because they were closing earlier. I informed her of the situation and she asked to reschedule appt. Yes, I could have rescheduled for another day but it would have been the same time. So would I have received another call to come earlier? No thank you, I will find another groomer that is willing to work their hours and work with their customer. If your hours have changed you need to update your online scheduler. read more

What a joke. I was greeted by the groomers with a - do you have an appointment? If not we can't see you because we are appointment based. When I tried to explain that I had called ahead and asked if I needed an appointment, they told me just the opposite, that I would not need an appointment and they were open so I could come on in anytime. The woman that I talked to was rude, she had a disgusted look on her face like I wasn't good enough for their store, and she made zero attempt to help me out whatsoever. I can't recommend that you go somewhere else enough, even if it means driving further because then at least you won't waste your time with super unprofessional and unfriendly people who will make you just want to find somewhere else to go anyway. read more

Wow, I won't be back there ever! We have 2 cats, one rabbit and a 40 gallon fish tank. I've never been so talked down to in my life. By a girl that is probably only 19 years old. She just cost her company about a hundred dollars tonight and several hundreds over the years that we will never come back. She wouldn't sell us a plecostimas because she thought our tank was too small. Finally, I thought I was over reacting to her condescending attitude and asked my husband to buy our fish. He left too. This Pet Smart just seems dirty all of the time. I know that its a pet store, but I have been in other locations where it doesnt seem like that. Besides, when I went to go buy my boys a pair f fish, I was told that for the tank I had (1.5gallon) that I could put 2 fish in there. So I bought them and a week later they were dead. Why??? Well, when I went back to get another fish, I talked to a man that knew his stuff when it came to "aquatics". He said I should have never had 2 fish in a small tank like that in the first place and only one. So Ive had our new fish for months now and no problems. They ought to make sure that the employees know their stuff before assigning them to that department. It is a pet store so you can pretty much find what you need for your pet. read more

We brought my husband's kind of long haired dog here to be groomed. When I made the appointment, I specified what package we wanted for the dog (as listed on the company website). When we got there, they seemed confused about what we had asked for and of course tried to talk us into other options, which we refused. When we picked up the dog, I noticed right away that they had neglected to do at least one thing they were supposed to, so they took her back and fixed it. Later on, after we had a chance to really look her over, we noticed they did a lousy job - her bathing and grooming and whatnot resulted in her looking exactly the same as if we had simply bathed her ourselves. I have gone to this Petsmart solely to get food and supplies for my JRT, so I'm unaware of how well the classes, vet services, and grooming is for pets. However, taking a peek at the dogs (some chilling, others normally disenchanted about the prospect of a bath) in the see through glass at the groomers and the content owners walking their pets out of obedience classes, I would say most people are seemingly satisfied. In terms of the store and meeting my basic needs of dog food, toys, and health supplies, I can usually find it there. Finding somebody to help me find what I need is generally difficult, but I'm a grown up and literate, so I just peruse down the aisles until I see whatever aisle I need. If not, I just wander for a few minutes until I see a staff member and I generally get helpful advice and an alternative to the item I originally needed. There's plenty of parking nearby, and outside, there are doggy bags outside so your pet can relieve themselves before they come inside the store. I really like bringing my dog to the store, the other patrons (and their kids) coo at her and there's something thrilling about taking your pet indoors to an establishment, y'know? Overall, Petsmart is a good establishment for the day to day pet care. read more

Always a disaster, it reminds me of a pets K-Mart, way overpriced, the trainers who also double as workers seem to comment on peoples dog handling skills both good and bad. My buddy took his dog in with a E-Collar and one of the trainers flipped, the dog was a flunker three times in the good citizens dog test for jumping, the E-Collar worked and the trainer was over-reacting. This Petsmart is well-stocked and the staff are attentive and well-informed. It's never hard to get service, and I've always been pleased with their prices and selection. Been shopping with them for years. Good selection, fair prices and nice people. I adopted two of my fur babies from the store. Love the way they work with local pet charities. On the downside, they have the some of the slowest checkouts in town. I was behind three people today and after 10 minutes gave up and went down the street to Petco where I paid two dollars more for the same item. On 12-15-16, went to this store after,I spoke to them over the phone about cedar bedding. When, I arrived at the store employee refused to match cedar bedding price. I informed these employees that, it was already cleared and confirmed with manager. An employee called Manager Jesse, on the phone, who then still refused to honor price match. I called this morning to try and schedule my dogs for a nail grind. I was trying to ask to see if they had any availability for today but if not tomorrow if any times were available but before I could even finish my sentence the lady who I was speaking to rudely interrupted me and told me no before I could finish the question. I told her that I didn't appreciate her interrupting me as I wasn't done talking and that it was rude for her to do that so she then hung up the phone on me. I proceeded to call back and asked to speak with the grooming manager who was also very rude when I was explaining the situation to her. She kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me finish talking. She said that the phone probably got disconnected and I told her that's not the case because I've called many times before to get my dogs scheduled for an appointment and have NEVER been hung up on so after that she then decided to come up with more excuses. I just wanted to come here to recommend Randal for all your aquatic needs. I don't usually come to make a review about a specific employee, but Randal went above and beyond with his expertise in the area I was curious about, which was water filtering for my turtle tank. Randal was extremely knowledgeable about turtles, tank sizes, which filter I needed, water chemicals, and how to maintain the filter. Long story short, Randal was so knowledgeable that I walked out of the store with a $250 Top Fin canister filter and I was confident that it was going to do the job and thanks to Randal, I left the store with no maintenance or materials questions about the pump. Management, make sure Randal stays around and is well compensated, because in my one experience with him he provided top tier service. Now as for your store, please keep more aquatic tanks in stock, because I was forced to go to PetCo for my tank. read more

I called this store to inquire about a prescription dog food, which they do carry. I asked for a particular size and price. I was told that the size I needed was there and the price was great. I drive all the way across town to get this food and they tell me they don't carry the size I asked for. They called the manager, Amy who says the call dropped before she could tell me they didn't have it...how does a call drop when you say goodbye??? Poor customer service, especially for managememt. Took my yorkie to get a hair cut and they butchered his ears. Said that they "tipped" the ears due to the hairstyle for yorkie a but it literally looks like they "accidentally" shaved the tips and left the rest of the hair on his ears. He has long hairs all over him where they decided not to cut, including his butt where normally one would think should be focused on the most. I asked for the manager to take a look at him and she said that they would fix his ears. After seeing what "fixed" looks like, I am not going to be bringing my yorkie back. They claimed to have brushed my husky 3 times and that was a 3 time lie! Just brought my new great pyreneese pup in for obedience training with Drew. He is super attentive and goes above and beyond. My half hour lesson? He stretched it out to 45 minutes (last lesson of night) and really helps me with all the basics. I love how petsmart has lessons set up. Six lessons for $109. But say your dog takes some backwards steps, or you need refreshing, you may go back to a beginner class for no additional charge at any time...sounds like a good deal to me! They are helpful about recommending products without being pushy. Great pet place! read more

After attempting to purchase a "sale" item that was improperly marked, they were unwilling to work with me and got defensive when I suggested that they mark their items in a manner so that customers could actually know how things were priced. I recently went in here looking for cat carriers. The store was not busy at all and when I walked in there were 3 workers standing around the register just screwing around. When I walked to the back of the store to look at pet carriers I almost stepped in pee. That was disgusting. I know it's a pet store and whatnot but with workers just standing around, you guys could have been cleaning that up or finding the person who had the animal who peed to clean it up. Second off as I'm looking at carriers really trying to figureout my best option, I had 2 employees walk past me didn't even bother to ask if I needed help or even acknowledge me. I grabbed a couple carriers, and decided to wonder over to the car section to make sure they didn't have any other carriers. When I got over there an employee came over and asked me if I needed help. I said well I have cats and I need carriers. She said well you probably need those, the ones you have are for 15 to 25 pound animals. I'm like well I have a cat who is really really big. I said he weighed close to 15 or so....the lady was like and I quote "Are you sure it's a cat?" So as I'm staring at her dumbfounded all while wanting to just facepalm her, I'm like well "Lady I've had my cats for almost 2 years I'm pretty sure they are cats and if they aren't why am I even in a pet store." The store was stocked and organized. The employees were helpful and assisted me when I needed help reaching something. As a pet owner I understand the pet smell, but the smell of urine does hit you when the doors open. It really should be a cleaner smell with the pet smell, like it does back home at the O'Fallon, IL store. My major complaint is looking around for some one to help and seeing two employees on their cell phones. They may have been on break but really out in the open is not the place to be.
