From Cumberland Dermatology: "...we will not be able to…read moreprovide the needs you are requesting. We do not prescribe pain medication here in our office. I understand that you have some medical conditions that may require this..." Note: They found some pre-skincancer sites that need addressing, but their dismissive, gaslighting, uncooperative and knee-jerk disregard of someone with special needs violates their Hippocratic Oath (like "...shall be for the convenience and advantage of the patient...") and thus marginalizes me. The alternative they leave me with is to be without any local help to address my serious health need. ...never had this kind of treatment when I lived where I'm from in Georgia ~ should've never left for Tennessee I guess :-(

I reviewed this guy once before but it went bye bye. If you are a veteran, stay away! He is just…read moreabout draining the VAs coffers and NOT about good dentistry. He want to replace all my molars with crowns! 5k a pop. VA chief of dentistry said absolutely not. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Then he want to schedule me 4 times for cleaning! Who does this? Well we are so popular, we only have time for partial cleaning. Really? Such bullshit! Charge the VA for 4 cleaning appointments instead of one. Their response ?? Your teeth are sooo bad, it took us that long. How many times have you gone in 4 times for one cleaning. They will respond that I was never a patient there. They either can't keep records or playing loosely goose with the facts. Again, move on when someone puts money over best practices.

I've been a patient here since I moved to Crossville in 2022. I go yearly for a cleaning, two years…read moreago I told the dentist there was a spot on my back molar that I felt needed attention, she blew it off. The next year I go in and say it's getting bad, can we go ahead and fill it? she says no, we'll just have to do a root canal when you come back in. I've done lots of research on root canal's and I'd never have that done. So it gets abscess and I was in terrible pain, I healed the abscess with oil of oregano. Then my tooth totally splits in half, so I had to go to a surgeon yesterday to have it pulled out and bone graph done. What's the point in doing annual maintenance visits if the dentist is going to ignore the issues until it becomes a problem?! It's because they make thousands off of root canals and hundreds from filling a cavity, they're all in it for the money and could care less about the health of you and your teeth!

I had a very bad experience at Crossville Smiles. Very nice…read morepeople but very sad what I have had to go through because of mistakes. I first had a tooth pulled and she chipped one tooth next to it. Also, I had pain in a tooth and continued to go back for treatment. They said my upper teeth needed to be filed down. I went back 3 times and then made a decision to get another opinion. I went to Dr Hayes in Cookeville and immediately they found I had major decay under that tooth so it had to be removed. They also didn't catch the major decay on the other side of my mouth. It was very expensive work to have done but thankful that I was able to find Dr. Hayes. It is very scary when you think they are doing a good job and then you find out that they made a major mistake.
