Having never been to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe preciously, I didn't know what it expect. (Based on…read morethe name), I figured they had a TON of different smoothies... Our daughter got a free smoothie coupon from school so we stopped there around 3:30pm after picking her up. I was a little shocked there were only 4 kids smoothie options to choose from: strawberry lime, strawberry banana, an orange one and a chocolate banana one. I scanned the menu for more smoothies but it seemed like there were a lot of food options and minimal smoothies. I actually never even found the adult smoothies in the menu board. We went through the drive through. There was one car in front of us and there was a bit of a wait (under 5 minutes). Employee was friendly. Peeked in and the interior looked really cool. Our daughter really enjoyed her smoothie.

I was warmly greeted by the owner and the barista behind the counter upon walking in. Being that it was my first time, I scanned the room and immediately saw how CLEAN the place is. My favorite part is that their color theme uses natural colors, green, naturally finished wood, light grays, all of the yes. You can customize your drink completely, from sweetness to how much ice you use to what add-on goes inside. Being that this is a first for me, the barista recommended 70% sweetness for my milk tea and it was spot on. Will be back again for the Vietnamese iced coffee now that I know they have it! While still small, what started as a small amount of mainly dry Asian products on shelves in a single room, has added rows of freezers, and a second area with two large refrigerated cases. I just love H-E-B…read more This one is good. It's one of at least two that I know of in Midland, TX. My daughters laugh still when I tell them H-E-B stands for the founder's son, Howard E. Butt. "Butt," they giggle. Lest you forget, "the initials also playfully represent the store's slogan, 'Here Everything's Better'." Cute, huh? This store was mostly clean and organized. We found some good deals on meats. I mean for the times. And I love the H-E-B line. They omit lots of junk and artificial crap plus they are cheaper than the name brands. This mom is a fan! The seafood guy was funny. The cashier was nice but distracted with her phone. The most maddening scene was the parking lot on January 4, 2026.

The staff I interacted with was incredibly friendly, from the baker in the bakery department, to the florist who created a beautiful centerpiece for my aunt's 100th birthday. The store was spotlessly clean. The produce department is enormous, and they also carry a great selection of organic fruit. The bakery department has premade cakes and also takes special orders. They have a great selection of meats, including large packs for those with larger families or if you're hosting a large gathering. There's plenty of parking and handicap spaces near the entrance.
