My 80 yo mom scheduled an eye lash appointment. She woke up with yellow crusted eye and called to cancel her appt until after she sees doctor. She was told that she'd have to pay $50 since she couldn't make appt. Really! As I am reading reviews, it's apparent that this business doesn't care about their clients. They only care about the mighty $$. Pls stop scheduling appts with them. Very unfair to an elderly client on a fixed income. Very very sad. God doesn't sleep. If Yelp had a 0 score I would have chosen it. We scheduled an 8 am appt on a Saturday for my wife, as part of her birthday present (as well as a nail appt at a different vendor for later in the day), as we were going out to dinner to celebrate. We are both physicians, she is especially busy, and she was looking forward to an early start on a "day of beauty" for her birthday. She arrived at 7:50 am for an 8 am, hour long, appt.. The technician assigned to her did not open the shop until after 8 am and then took an additional 15-20 minutes setting up her station and gathering materials. When the tech was done my wife voiced her disappointment and requested more lash material as there was very little difference from her natural state/plus mascara. The tech was completely unwilling to accommodate my wife's request, calling the owner- who was equally unhelpful, and informed my wife that her hour of allotted time had been used up. Implying that they needed to service the next appointment leaving no time to make the lash adjustment. When my wife reminded her that she lost 20 minutes of the time she was paying for, secondary to the tech's tardiness, the tech became indignant. My wife indicated that she did not feel she should have to pay for the hour service as she did not receive the allotted hour and was disappointed with the lash volume. The tech then informed my wife, "if you don't pay we will have to remove the lashes"!!! Crazy, the tech has no time to satisfy a ripped off customer, but will take 30-15minutes to remove the lash material. There is a reason this place ONLY GETS 2 STARS on YELP. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! So I went here yesterday to get my eyelashes done for my vacation. The girl who did my lashes was very sweet and accommodating when it came to listening to what I wanted. But I have had my eyelashes done countless times in the past, and my experience was never this uncomfortable. Towards the middle-end of the session, I noticed she was touching the middle of my right eye a lot and it started to hurt, but I didn't want to say anything since I assumed she knew what she was doing. Afterwards, my eye stung but it was nothing crazy so I attributed that to my eye having a minor reaction to the glue (and I have sensitive eyes as it is). Fast forward to later last night and my right eyelid is throbbing with pain and the bottom of my eye is really red. I woke up this morning with worse pain and my eye was more red. On top of that, I have a bad headache on the right side of my head. The reason I haven't called is because I'm currently about to board a cruise ship to Mexico, and I feel like there's nothing I can do. So here I am, writing this review. They also made me sign something before I got my lashes done that I didn't read, but looking back I wish I did read it because I'm in so much pain, and I'm not looking forward to starting my vacation this way. I went for the very first time yesterday 5/27/22. I spoke to the lady doing my extensions about what I wanted. I was getting a full set. I've had my lashes done in Las Vegas, San Antonio and San Francisco and New Orleans and in all those places I've had a "full set" and eventually "refills" when the time was right. When I was first called back I received a text that I needed to answer and I said, "Sorry I don't mean to be rude but let me answer this real quick before we get started." (seeing as my eyes will be closed for an hour or more while she puts on my eye lashes.) She replied, "We only get 45 mins so you need to keep that in mind." I'm in shock because in all the other cities in the US it takes approx 60-90 mins for a "full set". I said, well you must be fast because I've had my eye lashes placed in various cities in the US and this is a first. So I get poked a few times kinda hard in the eyelid causing me to flinch and the lady apologizes and I respond, "Its ok, you apparently are made to rush this service so you probably can't help it." Then as I'm lying there and the lady gets her groove, I notice this horrible COUNTRY radio station playing. I asked the lady why is country music playing? She says, "Do you have ear buds? You can put those in." I'm sorry, what? She replies, "Yes, if you didn't notice I'm wearing earbuds too because I can't stand this music either." She then proceeds to tell me that everyone complains about the music. I'm beginning to feel very grateful that this service is rushed and I will only be on the table for 45 mins because I hate listening to songs about pick up trucks and broken hearts. However as I am listening to this music over and over my inner being, my energy, my aura, my soul begins to get very angry. If I were the hulk I would have turned green by now because the music itself is making me furious. I felt like I was on this table unable to leave because my eyes were taped shut and being tortured. FastFwd to the end, my eye lashes look good but I'm super pissed off because of the music. When I go to the receptionist to pay my bill I notice a lady in the waiting room, it's my lady's next client. She tells the lady to go into the room while I settle my bill. She didn't sanitize the table for the next client, she didn't wash her hands, she just went in and started on the next girl. Let me mention there are NO SINKS to wash hands in the rooms themselves. WTF? These girls are so rushed to get clients in and out that they don't even do proper health protocol. I plan on looking up the health inspectors to file a formal complaint with them because if I end up with an eye infection because of lack of proper hand washing I'm getting a lawyer and suing this business because the owner is a running the establishment like a sweat shop. I then complain about the music selection to the receptionist and she proceeds to tell me that all the customers complain about the music and try to encourage the clients to bring earbuds. THAT'S NOT THE ANSWER! She says the owner puts it on the station and refuses to change the radio for her clients. If all the customers complain turn the damn station off and don't play any music. The owner needs to listen through her earbuds if she wants to hear about pickup trucks and broken hearts and quit subjecting her clients to that torturous music. Long story short, I'm not going back and giving my money to this place until they make some changes on cleanliness and hand hygiene and MUSIC SELECTION. I've been getting serviced here since December of 2013, and I AM ADDICTED to these extensions. I have been wearing them since, and I have not had any complications with them. They accent and bring out my eyes very well, and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. They walk you through it and go over aftercare instructions with you so that you won't freak out on how to maintenance them. The service is very relaxing. The Metairie location is the largest of the three salons. While the extensions are being placed on your natural eyelashes, your eyes are closed the entire time, so I typically fall asleep. It's that soothing! Yes, you are laying down through the entire service, and the beds are very comfortable. Their products are also exclusive to Naturalashes. Sure, you can find individual extensions on the web, but not as the same quality as these. They do stay pretty booked, but they're always trying to accommodate their clients. I recently served as a model for a technician training for a full set of lash extensions at NaturaLashes and I cannot rave enough about this business! First off, Sheila Cao (owner) also owns the Pure Skin Care & Lash Loft in the West Bank and she was a registered nurse for 12 years before pursuing her passion in beauty. Her lash extensions are specifically designed by her and manufactured for her - they cannot be purchased by other salons or technicians. There is an obvious mutual respect between Sheila and her technician-in-training; Sheila was patient, gave constructive criticism and praised the technician's work; it gave me the sense that the business is drama-free and efficiently managed. It was also evident that Sheila cared about developing her technician's skills to ensure that her clients receive the best results. The salon is located in a strip mall and the inside was cheery and clean. I was escorted to a private room with a comfortable cushioned table/bed, leg pillow and blanket (in case I was cold). The technician played soothing music and there was minimal chit chat, bc talking makes your eyelids twitch which can impact the technician's work. It was an extremely relaxing experience and I'm sure I nodded off a time or two. End result: longer, fuller lashes that make me feel like the prettiest girl! It's truly an art when you get good lashes done; the tech really paid attention to how the lashes should frame my eyes, chose the appropriate length and degree of curl - my final result does not look fake or tacky and I feel like they naturally accentuate my eyes. I was given extensive information in how to care for my extensions, what types of products to use and what not to do. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience! What astounded me was how busy they were; there was a constant stream of clients that came in out for the two hours that I was there. Clearly women love this place! Horrible business practice should be considered fraud. Double charge. If you try to reschedule an appointment they do not answer the phone and charge a cancellation fee of $25. This place is a rip off. I've been getting lashes for about 2 years now and we just moved to New Orleans so I need to find a new go to place. I called and they told me I can do a basic refill with them for about $45+. I go to my appointment and as the tech looks through my lash for their oh so important "evaluation with a folder" she said she didn't know how to manage the glue on my lashes and went to get the owner. The owner removes the small amount of glue in about less than 2 minutes and explains how I need a whole new set. I asked why and she said because you don't have anymore lashes left so I had to pay for the new $165 set. Once she left I asked the tech to show me a mirror and i opened my eyes and noticed I still have more than half left so I asked why would I need to get a whole new set. Now her answer is because you have a set of different lashes than the ones we use here so I HAVE to remove them to start over. This is a freakin joke because they were the one advertising how they have over 11 different lashes there and you are telling me you can't get one close enough to mine to match my basic individual lashes. I was lucky to have read previous reviews and was aware of their ripping off their customers after I already had made the appointment. I stood up and said I refuse your service and her response was she had to charge me a $40 cancellation fee. I said you have no right to charge me a no show/cancel fee because I don't agree with the up charge and you pushing the services on me. They had my credit card information already on file and I made them remove it. What was funny was they were so unwilling to remove my information. I'm just glad I didn't let this nasty place rip me off. I will be calling my credit card company if they do it to dispute the charges. im a travel nurse here working in the shelter for the evacuees from hurricane laura. i rescheduled one appt due to not being able to make it due to the busses not getting in time. they allowed me to reschedule. i missed my second appt due to the same issue. however i called monday 24 hrs in advance but noone answered. online it stated they were open but again noone ever picked up. since the day i missed my appt i have been trying to buy a rental and everyone has been sold out. its very sad that the manager decided to not let me rebook my appt or "ever" come back due rescheduling. its actually funny being that im a travel nurse and ill never return regardless. sheila, sorry you made a poor decision now your clients missed out on a bomb ass tip. but thanks for showing where not to go when or if i ever visit again! read more

After previous experiences with other stylists I no longer trust anybody to touch my lashes. I got the basic look, individual lashes for $160 or so. I got them because I had a lot of things going on like a vacation, bachelorette party and wedding and wanted to give it a try. When I first got them, I thought they looked okay for everyday wear but would definitely need to wear mascara for night events. After about 2 weeks, I had spaces in my eye lashes from the lashes falling out (pretty normal) and I didn't want to get them redone. Now, I barely have my natural eye lashes I used to have. And no it doesn't just look like that because I was used of how the fake ones looked. I seriously regret getting them in the first place. So disappointed right now. I've been getting my lashes done for a few years, and I always was pleased, and then normally lasted for about 3 weeks on me. I went to Natural Lash after moving to the area, and do NOT recommend. First off, the place seems dirty and old, and the application rooms are not relaxing. Second off, my lashes have all but maybe two fallen off! And it has been a week. I have been getting lashes for years now and I know how to take care of them very well, I have NEVER had even half of them fall off in a week. Much less all of them. And lastly, but the most important reason why if I were you would stay away from this place, is that I currently have an infection on my eyelid from these horrible lashes. My eye is red, swollen, and hurts so bad. The girl glued some of the lashes onto my eyelid, which should not be done and probably caused this. I'm so upset, mad, and in pain. In reading the reviews, I know they cannot be describing the same place. But, yes, it is. My experience wasn't as positive as some of the reviews. I should have known from my initial phone call to make an appointment. I had called from work, so my time was limited. Their phone rang and rang, and no one answered. Later that day I called again, and the girl answered. I thought it odd no one answered during business hours on a weekday, but no biggie. Then she proceeded to tell me about the different looks to achieve from the extension lashes. She had convinced me I was going to get the "mink" look, whicn I told her I wanted a natural look. I arrive for my appointment precisely on time, and waited, and a customer was leaving that was not happy with her results, so my appointment got delayed 30 minutes. When the asthestician met with me, and I expressed what I wanted she said the appointment I booked was for another kind of lashes, and the ones I wanted is an hour appointment. Soooo 45 minutes later, no lashes, and not getting them today. I booked another appointment for another day and time!! 2nd appointment I arrived, and was taken in the back rather quickly. I saw the table I would be laying on, and asked, "Aren't you going to change the sheet?" Another customer had just left that room, and I know the sheet was not covered with another, or changed. I thought this is not a very sanitary place. I began to become very skeptical. The aesthetician began to examine my lashes, and her face was so close to my face, I could smell her breath. I though geez, don't you use the magnifying mirror? At the end I did NOT get my lashes done there, and would not recommend this place to anyone. Some of the technicians here are fabulous. However they late canceled two appointments and no showed on another. If I had done that they would have charged me for each of those appointments . When I complained, after much back and forth the owner offered me a 50% off service. I tried to book it for a month and they were always busy. I found a new place I like very much but is a bit out of the way. I called back just over 6 months later since I knew I would be in the neighborhood. I didn't want to let the discount go to waste and I was short on time. They had appointments available but they declined to honor the discount. I was going to use this appointment as a stop gap, but I have to say, their technique, lashes and glue don't last as long as traditional Mink applications and the system is set up to take advantage of customers. When I first started going here last year I loved it. I was a regular. I had originally given 5 stars because the first few months they were polite professional and reliable. I had multiple issues with the staff canceling appointments over charging i.e. Making me pay for 3 week touch up when it was 16 days and I've been a regular for a year. Small issue but it's just a few appropriate examples of the lack of customer service. To say they are rude is an understatement. Go support a business that wants your business. I have been a repeat customer with natural lashes for quite some time. It is almost impossible to get a repeat appointment. I scheduled my 2 week lash appointment a week and a half early this past time to insure I was able to get in, I was called an hour before my appointment saying they had to cancel because they wouldn't have enough time to do my lashes. When I explained to them that I had to go some where else the time before and it was indeed a two week appointment the receptionist had a huge attitude and told me now there would be an up charge of almost double. I had an event to go to so I had no choice to comply. She then hung up on me when I told her I was still coming. I felt so uncomfortable that I called back and canceled and she hung up on me again. I contacted this place for my wedding and was very excited to try them out. However, the week before the wedding, the owner claimed I booked two appointments (even though she only confirmed one and I also called the store directly to confirm this) and that if I was only having one appointment then my time would change. Seeing that this was the week of my wedding, I have many plans with family and friends that are coming into town and I was unable to make this sudden change in time. I first discovered Sheila and Natural Lashes at a Trade show in New Orleans. I watched as she applied lashes and decided that I wanted to give it a try. During my first appointment Shelia and I talked about my expectations and the process. Now almost 4 years later I am totally addicted. The Natural Lashes salon is very soothing and relaxing environment. I have fallen asleep several times while having my lashes applied. I am impressed with the excellent quality of the lashes and the outstanding talent of the entire staff. Each appointment is such a pleasure. I am so proud the there are now 3 Natural Lashes Salon. As I wait for my scheduled appointment I notice that each client makes sure the thier next appointment is scheduled and they leave with a smile on thier face and a pep in thier step. I don't even want to give this place one star. I usually go to Fabulash on Belle Chasse Hwy. but it is a little drive considering I live in River Ridge. I had absolutely no false lashes on anymore. My moms friend recommended this place. When I looked at the pricing list compares to Fabulash of what I normally I get it was a $50 difference for a full set and a $15 difference in refills. Yeah well I got there and knew what I wanted because I had it before and Dale who was my technician said I couldn't get the natural individual because I barely had any lashes, she said I need 2D and some 3D. So I said whatever I have vacation in a week so they should still look good. Boy was I wrong. The first day when I got home they started falling off, I did not rub my eye, get water on them or anything. Not even a full two weeks later I have so many gaps and it looks very stupid. I paid $200 for this to just fall off? I don't think so. I called and Courtney answered, I told her I want to cancel, she asked if I wanted to reschedule and I then said "No my lashes are falling off like crazy and it hasn't even been two weeks, I paid too much for this" She said "Well you can get two week refills" I said "I'm aware of that, but I shouldn't have to, I'm on vacation and got these for vacation and I look like shit now" She then didn't know what to say and said its canceled and hung up. At fabulash I paid $150 for a full set and didn't even need a refill at 3 weeks. I didn't get a refill for 2 months and still looked decent. They lasted a while. They also take 2 hours to do it because she puts the fan on after so many lashes. Naturalash took not even an hour and never used the fan to dry the glue. Oh and she also smelled like alcohol through all that gum. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY LADIES AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

What a rip off!!! Make sure that you know what you are getting into when you go to NaturaLash. My usual lash technician at Ooh LaLash was sick and I had an event out if town so decided to try Naturalash. I had spoken to the receptionist at great length the day before about the pricing etc. I was going for a 3 week refill but asked about the special that I had received in an email ($65 for a full set). She said that that probably wouldn't be a very big price difference it and would take a lot more time if I got a full set. There was no chart around listing the pricing. It was my mistake not look or ask for a chart. I asked about the 3-D eyelashes they had on display thinking it was showing their superior product compared to other salons. No mention was made of different pricing. Upon completion of the service. I was given a bill of $150 -more than a new full set of the "regular lashes". So I have now paid over double from what I'm used to paying for eyelashes the do not look as good as Ooh LaLash has done in the last three years. I do not recommend NaturaLash and I will never go back. I was mislead, under informed and taken advantage of- ripped off! And as I get into the car and see in full light I look like I have false eyelashes on. Yikes!! What a colossal mistake! read more
