I think they did a wonderful job…read more Bryan Buckner, our salesperson, was pleasant to deal with - clear communication every step of the way - from picking out materials, cost estimates, setting appointments, and following up. We had our kitchen linoleum and great room carpet removed and replaced with hardwood, which took 4 days to complete. We also replaced the carpet on one flight of stairs, as it was torn up/detached - that only took half a day to complete. John was extremely accommodating. Free of charge, he offered to move up the kitchen cabinets above the fridge a couple of inches to allow room for the added height of the hardwood floor and now the cabinet doors open all the way too (they didn't before, due to obstruction from the fridge door hinges)! He also had good communication during the job. He made sure to tell me about issues or concerns he had along the way and gave me solution choices on what I preferred before he went ahead with it. In one instance of note, I gave the go-ahead to install the hardwood around our existing fireplace tile without t-molding (otherwise we'd have to order more wood), meaning he would have to spend extra attention to cut the wood so it would meet flush with the tile. He did exactly that. That night, my husband expressed that he preferred t-molding there so I called Bryan the next day to ask if it's possible to add t-molding around that tile area after-the-fact. After consulting with John, Bryan let me know that not only will John order more wood and come back to make that happen, but it was free of charge too. Also notable: we own a baby grand piano in the living room. Perfect Floors said they don't move those due to liability reasons, understandably. However, John offered to move it for us. He said he was afraid that if we move the piano ourselves that we'd damage the wood, and he was right. I watched as the guys painstakingly repositioned plywood, plank by plank, beneath the piano to move it and position it exactly where I wanted. Beautiful hardwood remained intact. I greatly appreciated that. Our floors were done in early April. It's now mid-July and I still love it. We often get compliments from visiting friends and family. Now it's just a matter of trying to prevent our toddler from destroying the floors TOO much... and I guess we can never have dogs/cats in the house... we'll see how long that lasts! In conclusion, I definitely recommend Perfect Floors and would do business with them again.

We hired Perfect Floors for an approximately $20,000 project that included hardwood refinishing,…read morenew hardwood installation, and carpet. While the carpet turned out well, the hardwood experience was very disappointing. The initial hardwood work was poor enough that Perfect Floors agreed most of it needed to be redone. During the redo, some rooms that were supposed to be left alone were refinished, while others that needed to be redone were missed. One room that originally looked good was made worse during a repair and ultimately had to be completely refinished. Stain was also left on cabinets, a bathroom sink, baseboards, walls, stairs, and our marble fireplace. We had to hire a painter and stone repair professional to address the damage. Perfect Floors did contribute $2,500 toward those repairs. What bothered us most was that once problems developed, we were told Perfect Floors normally did not do this type of hardwood work and had done us a favor by hiring a third party. During the sales process, however, the hardwood work was presented as part of the project Perfect Floors could handle. Our entire contract was with Perfect Floors, not the subcontractor, so we expected them to take ownership of the work regardless of who performed it. Even after the additional work, there are still visible sanding marks and polyurethane issues. Perfect Floors provided an additional $1,000 reduction after we asked for $2,000, which we appreciated, and the carpet work was done nicely. However, given the approximately $20,000 cost, repeated hardwood problems, damage to our home, and stress involved, we were disappointed with the overall experience.

Absolute Disaster!!!…read more I hired this person for hardwood floor grinding and refinishing. Pictures tell the story. If you are looking for someone to turn a simple job into an electrical adventure, leave a mess behind, and create new problems you didn't have before -- this may be the person for you. On top of the poor workmanship, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. He attempted to connect his machine directly to a live electrical line, which resulted in damage to the electrical panel and an expensive oven showing a "Bad Line" error. Apparently, quality control and safety procedures were optional. Blamed the panel. The job was left with trash scattered around, and somehow the priority became demanding payment before the work was completed. Asked for additional $150 to "dispose" of the trash that he left behind. To add to the experience, machines were left sitting on carpet, creating another potential mess. We ended up contacting the local police. A reminder for anyone considering hiring him: do not release payment until you have personally inspected every detail of the work. Before making the deal demand full clean-up and disposal of trash. Take before pictures. Check your appliances, check your electrical system, and check that your property is actually left in better condition than when he arrived. Unfortunately, the experience was not the kind anyone wants.
