They needed to come out because we had a water leak coming from the ceiling. They went inside the unit and found the "side of the flimsy water tray had fallen down" They used a piece of wood found in the attic to prop the side back up. I already had the ladder set-up so the total time from arrival to problem solved was 10 minutes. For those 10 minutes, I was charged a $90 diagnostic fee, a $155 travel charge, and a $105 "miscellaneous Repair" charge. With tax, the total was $376.79. They told me they would wave the fuel surcharge of $35 on top of these costs. That seems a bit high to me. Am I being unrealistic as to what things cost these days or did I make a mistake having my HVAC unit installed by Rood?
