We waited for 15 minutes and when the owner finally arrived, she took in the second customer first and not my wife, who had arrived before the other customer. I was disgruntled by that but my wife told me she has done a good job with her nails before and to let it go. The first customer took up most of the time we had available to wait before a movie we were going to watch, so we left and my wife didn't get her nails done that day. She did return the next day and loved the service, just as much as she had loved the first service. However, that's no way to treat a customer.

I walked in at 5:03 pm and signed in. However, I wasn't actually seated until closer to 6:23 pm, and I was assigned to a technician, Jackie, who was absolutely the sweetest! The only issue was that I wasn't informed about her being NEW NEW, so the nail process took much longer than I expected (I wanted short/minimal design) --I thought I'd be done by 7:30 pm but didn't leave until 8:38 pm. Also, I chose a purple color (as shown), but ended up with a bright Barbie-pink shade instead. After the first coat, I mentioned the color was wrong, and Jackie said the second coat would fix it, but unfortunately, it didn't (you can see in the photo). On top of that, my nails came out in different shapes. I had asked for a squoval shape, but they looked more like coffin nails. Jackie did notice and tried to fix it, and even offered to stay late to correct everything, but I was tired and just wanted to go home. I scheduled a follow-up appointment the next day at 5:15 pm to fix the color. The day of my follow up appt, I got out of work at 4:10 pm and was going to be about 5 minutes late, so I called ahead to notify them but couldn't reach anyone. I left a voicemail requesting a call back to confirm if the slight delay was okay or if we needed to reschedule, but I never heard back. In the end, I did not get to go back to fix the nails, and I was charged $46. My nails fell off about 5 days later with ease and without pain. While the atmosphere and Jackie's kindness were great, the overall service experience wasn't what I hoped for. I wanted to support a local Weslaco nail tech, but unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with how things went.

They are not overly sensitive it was because he was rough! Also, before getting my nails done, I asked the 2 girls next to him if they like Gel X nails and how they hold up. I asked the girls because I figured they had worn them as well as applied them. Applying and wearing a product are different. I wanted their opinion on the wear of Gel X as I have heard of them but had not used it. He got snippy from that moment forward and commented to the girls that he wasn't answering me until I asked him. I like the dip nails and it is hard to find around this area but I don't think I'll go back there. Just might have to go to McAllen to get my nails done.
