I am a regular, and I went in yesterday to try and get my eyebrows done. I walked in and the two girls working were behind the divider and I could see their face through the glass reflections. They were making faces and whispering amongst eachother. It was clear that they were annoyed that I got there. Finally when one of them walked out, I told her never mind that I would be leaving and that I could see them through the glass reflection and they didn't have to be rude. The girl looked surprised and didn't say anything. When I called and talked to the owner , he said that maybe they were just having a "long day". That response to me was not okay.

But over time, new technicians came in, and the results became hit or miss. I shrugged it off, figuring that since I never had a go-to person, I just had to roll with it. Well, I deeply regret rolling into that first chair on a Wednesday. The technician--who I'm assuming is named Michaela, based on my receipt--immediately pointed out random grey hairs on my face. Uh, thanks? I told her never mind (and THANK GOODNESS I did, but we'll get to that). She finishes my brows, hands me the mirror, and I take a quick glance. And my first thought? 'Oh great, you just mowed off all my eyebrows like we're back in the '90s.' Still, I chalk it up to my fault for not specifying that I just needed a cleanup. Usually, they ask--she didn't--but given the inconsistency here, I figured I'd just have better luck next time. So, I take my L, pay, and leave. But then I get to my car. I take a closer look and--what in the actual--my brows are not only pencil-thin, but I have visible blood and cuts (see photo). W.T.F.?! She didn't say a single word about this! I have dry skin, but I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 20 years, and this has NEVER happened. And to make matters worse, I have a big presentation at work tomorrow, so now, instead of just filling in these razor-thin brows (which is extra fun when you naturally have thick ones), I also have to figure out how to cover up these cuts and avoid a scab situation. What was she even doing that low on my eyebrow?! At this point, the inconsistency is just too much. While some of the techs know what they're doing, beware--you might just walk out of here looking like Edward Scissorhands had a field day with your brows.

Classy. Walk in, and the stylist is glued to her phone like she's running a TikTok empire, not a salon. When my sister politely asks for a Brazilian straightening, she laughs and says, "Brazilian, keratin, Japanese perm... haha! All the same." Uh, no honey. Not the same. Not even close. Then she has the audacity to tell me "don't worry, Brazilians are out of style" like we're here for fashion advice and not a hair service. Spoiler: we were here for hair. Her promises? "Zero frizz" and "curls that pop." Reality: still a frizzy, wavy, curly disaster. Ends? FRIED. But wait, there's more. She charged my sister for a haircut she didn't even do--and was literally showing off layers she never touched. My sister still had the decency to tip her. Bless her. And now even after detox shampoo and quality products, my sister's scalp smells like a dumpster. So congrats, salon: $200 later, still no straightening, and +$60 for a haircut that never happened.
