I want to be clear that Jazlyn herself was very attentive, kind, and reassuring throughout my appointment. I understand that miscommunications happen, and I did not blame her for the situation. My frustration was with how the front desk attendant, Zoe, handled it. I was told I had to pay the Brazilian price even though I had booked and communicated that I wanted a Bikini Full. When I questioned this, Zoe brought Jazlyn to the front to discuss what happened in front of several other customers. The Gel-X removal was not done properly. There was still product/resin left all over my nails, the tips were uneven and bumpy, and my nails were not shaped at all. What bothered me even more was that the technician actually tried to massage my hands while there was still sticky resin/product on them. I specifically paid for the removal, so I expected the old material to actually be removed and my natural nails to be cleaned up and shaped afterward. My pedicure was only okay. One of my big toes was also left with old gel/product still on it. The cleanliness and hygiene practices were another concern for me. The towels used during my pedicure felt very rough and worn, and a large amount of paper towels were used on my feet instead. Overall, the experience did not feel clean or professional. For $66, I expected much better attention to detail, proper removal, shaping, and basic cleanliness. I left with unfinished-looking nails and ended up needing to fix them myself afterward. WORST part was that a giant chunk of acrylic was left under one of my nails so I asked if she could file it away... she proceeded to try to cut it off with the nail clipper. It was stuck to the part under my nails...the skin....which got torn and I pleaded with her 8-9 times over ten minutes to just file it and that it's hurting be she would say she's not pulling it and would give me the pliers to see if I could try. We ended up just leaving it there after 20 minutes. The skin under my nails is torn like when it gets pulled up away from the nail due to her pulling and pulling on the piece. I was getting so heated I had to raise my voice at her. Will never ever ever go back and unfortunately this is the nail place across from my townhome :/
