I sent a detailed email asking for clarification on a number of important points: What square footage or linear feet were used to estimate materials? Was the pricing fixed or subject to change once actual measurements were taken? Why was the retaining wall quote over twice what others had quoted for the same scope? I also asked whether I could supply my own boxwoods to help manage costs. I was told someone would get back to me to address my questions, but no one ever followed up. In addition to the lack of measurement-based estimating, the proposal included no pricing breakdown for the payment schedule, no mention of a deposit, and no information on when the project would start or how long it would take to complete. For a project of this size and cost, these are basic details I would expect to see clearly spelled out. In the end, the lack of communication, vague quoting, and absence of essential project information left me with zero confidence in their process. I chose not to move forward and wouldn't recommend this company to others who are looking for a professional, transparent experience.

It's based on region and I get it mostly, but we live on the very edge of Loveland and it's pricier to have things delivered to our house than it is to Centerville. Based on miles, time, as the crow flies, there's no way I can figure out of where that makes sense. In any event, I'd probably use them again, but go in with the things I mentioned above.
