Terrible experience!!! As a visitor, I felt extremely unwelcome immediately when entering the business. I was very happy to be in Colorado so my mood was high positive energy, until feeling racially profiled and blatantly disregarded by the manager (red hair). This was the only bad experience I had during my week time in Avon. Signs are not set out clearly and management refuses to use their words to explain things to customers. They do not follow state laws and regulations. Left feeling extremely sad but quickly realized it's really sooo sad for them honestly!! The reviews speak volumes and resemble my experience to a T, showing that the business and workers couldn't care less about their visitors or making change where they lack. took my money elsewhere and had such a better experience at all of the other local dispos. This is a competitive field of business especially in Colorado, you would think they would want to do better. Sadly, I dont see them persisting at this rate of rudeness. Worst customer service I've experienced in a dispensary. Spent the minimum amount to get 2 free items. Had to bring it up to the bud tender and pull teeth to get anything turns out they were out of the majority of free items and wouldn't honor it for products that were even cheaper than the free item. I'd rather buy illegal weed in Co. than go back to Native Roots. Short: Pretend this place doesn't exist and go anywhere else for better everything. Long: Showed my ID at the door, showed my ID 20 seconds later to the "budtender" (BT). First off, this place is dank, like a cave but without any of the charm afforded a cave. Explained to BT I had not been to a Co dispensary before and if he could get me started, that'd be great. BT became offended and short telling me he couldn't help me if I didn't know what I was looking for. Right off the bat, shit went downhill and I find myself (THE CUSTOMER) talking this guy back down to a civil attitude. No fun and what a buzzkill even before the buzz. If I hadn't already spent $$ on Uber, I would have walked right out. I end up BT myself and using McBad Attitude just to hand me shit. I stated I understood all things being relative, but I'd never used a vape and was curious about it's potency, etc. He showed me one for $30ish and said it had 400 "hits". Hits didn't really mean anything to me, so I asked how many "hits" it would take to feel something. BT: 200. Read that again. He said, "200". I even had him clarify 2-3 times. So, according to him I'd have to draw on this thing 200 freaking times to feel something! Who the fuck would do that? Nobody because he was as full of shit as he was combative and uncooperative. I figured this must be how dispensaries are run in a tiny ski town in the off season, like riverboat gambling compared to Vegas, but then I stopped into a place called Rocky Road Remedies and realized Native Roots is just a poorly run, gloomy shit shop. Great staff for novice. Personally, I abstain. However, my wife has severe PTSD after loss of child in auto accident 2 years ago further aggravated by a DNA marker + case of Crohn's disease. She has been in the bed for the past 2 years. Took the liberty to legally buy a variety of product here and other place to see if the trip would be any better. We actually made it out the last night for a photo together and at least one family dinner before leaving. Unfortunately, had to waste product before leaving but at least she made it out one night. Rented her skis for the week and she was still never even able to obtain a single lift pass. Pray for her as I continue to try anything to get her better. read more

Coming from out of state we didn't know what to expect. We walked in all nervous, ID's in hand. Once we got past the outer chamber and in to the inner sanctum this place was great! The employees were helpful, polite, well-informed... hell they were more competent than the kids in any Verizon store I've ever been in. Yes prices were up there but the product turned out to be all they claimed it would be! And they had some cute t-shirts and stuff to buy. This is the only dispensary I've ever been in so I don't have any other experience to compare it to, but obviously this operation is a success so far. I've been here two different times. The 1st time, back in June, the guy behind the counter was pretty messed up on uppers; he ended up over charged us while trying to "hook us up" with discounts and actually encouraged driving while intoxicated on the product he was selling to us. The taco truck drew us back, figured I would give this place a 2nd chance; that was a mistake. This chick couldn't have cared less about her job. Failed to go into detail on any products, really had to pull her teeth for any information at all; indica or sativa dominate etc.. After I picked out some flavors she told us the total amount after she ran the card. Never mentioned the product was way more expensive then advertised in the case. Said it was "to late" when I told her I wanted to pass on the overpriced item. I do not recommend this place. And I am sorry I gave them my money a 2nd time. read more

I came here to get wax. I was disappointed that it was so pricey! I was a few dollars short for what I wanted to purchase and the bud tender covered me! That was really cool of him. Wax was good quality as well. I wouldn't go back because of the prices (about $45 for 1 gram of shatter) I thought the staff was nice and the quality of the products high. read more

Make sure you leave yourself extra time if coming here soon before close. We arrived at 6:50 on the dot, but were told we couldn't be served. We drove 20 min out of our way to get here, which ended up being a total waste of time. There were even customers who arrived before us who were waiting but unlikely to get served. Native Roots needs to be more upfront and considerate of their customers' schedules. Posting notice on their website and definitely on Yelp making clear that service is not guaranteed EVEN if arriving cleanly within business hours, or adjusting their posted business hours to reflect when they can actually do business with their customers, would be helpful. read more

Horrible! We are tourists from Kentucky. Flew into Vail wanting to check out some dispensaries. We heard this was a good one so we stopped in. Lady at the desk checked our IDs. The plastic cover on the license was coming off a LITTLE on my girlfriend's ID. Which is normal, through wear and tear they can have a little damage. The lady thought it was a fake so she checked the book, she checked the UV light and then got a manager. After taking up our time the manager came out and said this is "probably real" but to be safe we are not going to service you. What do you mean probably real?? How was my girlfriend able to get through security at TSA checkpoint where licenses are checked by UV light. Obviously the license is real. It's okay we went to a dispensary down the street who can clearly tell a REAL license from a fake. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

They are always nice and knowledgeable, and sometimes there is a puppy dog that hangs out. The staff quickly starts to recognize you if you're a local, and they usually have stellar deals, such as 17.76 for an eight on the 4th of July. I have never had a bad experience shopping there, even when I used my laundry money to pay for an order and had to count out about fifteen dollars in quarters. Great place to go! read more

I've been a medical patient and member with native roots for over a year now. I couldnt imagine going to any other dispensary in the state of Colorado. The staff is exceptionally nice and know what they are talking about. Theres no need to go to any other dispensary. I have been to several other dispensaries on "the green mile" here in the vail valley and i have never been so disrespected in my life. If youre over being treated like youre just a regular old joe and want to have the feeling of being rushed out and no "love vibe" then i HIGHLY recommend Native Roots.
