Native Nurseries is not only a great local business with knowledgeable and friendly staff but is just a treat to go on a nice weekend morning. The variety is overwhelming because no matter where you turn there's something fun to look at! The entire front is arranged much like an ideal lawn would look like, with a couple comfortable and beautiful swings that would be great for front or back porch. The section for herb and vegetables is plentiful and includes some neat arrangements for those lacking a green thumb (or those looking for a unique and fun gift) such as the salad bowl (arugula, herbs, edible flowers, etc.). The coolest part is that there's also a ton of fun stuff inside! Bird feeders, hummingbird feeders, squirrel feeders (didn't know that was a thing by the way!), and a ton of seeds and feed. There's also a section filled with locally crafted soaps, plus stuff for children (or adults who also enjoy toys like finger puppets). It's kinda a real life enchanted forest. So my first time to Native Nurseries was in January this year and now that it is summer and all my plants have warm sun and have had time to grow I just wanted to drop a line and say WOW. Not only was everyone very nice when I went but there were some unique plants I picked up and love. I got some small yellow tomato variety and the plant has overgrown on my patio, more tomatoes that I could have ever expected (I don't have a green thumb and I'm sure if I took proper care of the plant it'd be even better), but I've just been stringing it along every time it gets a little bigger. I also got a couple house plants and they are so delightful. Overall this is a lovely place to go for a stroll and pick up some plants, watch some lovely birds and ask some questions. This is the nicest place in town to get plants, bulbs, bird supplies, gifts & all around expert gardening and yard advice. Long time local owners with a real knack for personal service. They specialize in carrying native plants and local varieties but have expanded over the years to cover all our yard related needs. They have landscaping services and mulch, stones etc, plus hold free classes often on Saturday's. They keep an active presence on Facebook which let's us know whenever supplies of new things are in or when it's time to plant something. This is super helpful. This is the first place to go - I only go elsewhere if they don't carry it. The personal touch, native plants, expertise and locally-owned aspects of this business make it 5 star quality. read more

Native Nurseries is a beautiful place filled with friendly people who know what they're talking about. I had them put in some plants in my yard and they helped me with the plan, going off a drawing I'd made and photograph of the yard. It looks great and was actually cheaper than they quoted. I had actually gone to Tallahassee Nurseries earlier in the year for their advice and the lady that came out didn't listen to me at all and wanted to charge me about 3 times as much. I had a very disappointing experience at Native Nurseries today. I have supported them for many years now, but I have to say recently - my last several encounters have been very poor. The customer service is lacking. I waited for a long time patiently to talk with a staff member. He ignored me for some time as he talked to another customer. The customer finally pointed at me and said - see what she wants. I asked if the staff member could help me with some questions about the vegetable plants. He told me he couldn't help me because he didn't have knowledge of this. These were the very same questions the other customer was asking! I will not be doing business here anymore. I went to Tallahassee Nurseries right away and my experience was amazing! They were so helpful and welcoming. I was very grateful for the positive experience at Tallahassee Nurseries - because it was such a negative experience at Native Nurseries. read more
