Native is often pushing the envelope regarding its food. The space is open and very nice with tables adequately spaced, team service is extremely friendly and professional, and the food & drink quite good. We went with the tasting menu which is 12 courses but all are naturally smaller size and a bit of time elapses during your meal - though everything was well timed and moved along well.
You're not likely to find many places in London serving chicken liver parfait with a fermented potato waffle and pickled apple but it was very good. Or especially the white chocolate and bone marrow dessert that ends the meal - I honestly didn't get much white chocolate flavor but that's fine with me and you're basically eating bone marrow caramel from the middle of a sawed apart bone. The experience ends up being a bit expensive however and while the food is good and some dishes quite unique, I wouldn't necessarily say much blew us away on flavor and I wouldn't put it among our top 3 meals during a week visit to Southern England (admittedly that's a high bar as we do a lot of research and tend to eat well). The accompanying beverage pairing was good but arguably had a few misses.
Overall, this is a unique dining experience down the street from Borough Market and worth a visit for most. Well done, I'm a fan overall. read more
