In my experience as an owner, they do not behave as if they work for the Co op Board and the Board behaves as if ARAS Properties was their boss.

What I learned after moving in is that there's a sign-up sheet at the front desk because the exterminator comes every 2 weeks on Wednesday. Isn't there a law against blatantly lying about something like that? Oh yeah, it could be considered fraud. I caught so many mice while living here I lost count. I attached a picture of a glue trap with 3 dead mice on it alone, as well as a living mouse caught near my stove. These are just a few of the examples. We live in a pandemic world - as a renter, you've got a chance to get a good deal on an apartment in the city. Please go anywhere but here - you don't want to deal with these rodents.

Tried calling the company and only got an automated message saying they're only in office on Wednesdays. ONE day out of the week. Tried calling back on that day and still no answer nor any follow ups to voice messages or emails sent. Got to the point where half the building were calling the Housing Authority and reps were knocking on the door every day in response to all the complaints. To avoid being fined, the building turned the heat on for a week then shut it off again despite it still being frigid. They also shut the hot water off. Were reported to Housing Authority for that as well and then they switched to shutting the hot water off at NIGHT. So when Housing Authority comes to verify the violations during normal daytime hours the hot water works fine, but between about 11pm to 6am the water is FRIGID. My roommate is a construction worker who has to be on site by 6am and is unable to shower when they get up in the morning because there's no hot water. We've also had numerous problems with clogging and backed up plumbing. According to one of the Housing Authority reps its because a shoddy job was done when these greedy people renovated by turning what was once the kitchen into a third bedroom and rerouting the piping to make the livingroom a livingroom/kitchen. We also had a broken toilet which the super tried to charge us to repair. Do not rent from this company! Our lease is up soon and we're getting out of here immediately.
