Dennis and Jay were great to work with me. We had been waiting for about three hours or more because we thought another towing company was going to come help us, but they were super hard to work with. They never showed up. Nations towing told me they would be there in an hour but instead they came in 30 minutes and Jay was so good and kind. When we got to the place to fix my car, a place that had been arranged with the insurance company, they were closed down. Jay got on the phone and started calling all around and found me a mechanic. Our motorhome broke down 70 miles north of Moab on our way there for Memorial Day. We called our roadside assistance service provider and they agreed to authorize a tow for us all the way to Moab. Nations Towing was assigned the job and Jayce came to help us. Jayce was very nice, all business, and laser-focused on getting us safely hooked up and towed to Moab. His cell phone kept ringing the entire time he was hooking us up and I could see how busy he had been all day. It was a stressful time for us, but we couldn't have been happier to have cool, calm Jayce to help us out. None of the local shops in town would work on our motorhome. One shop did recommend a local mobile RV and Semi-truck mechanic who agreed to come out, and he did finally diagnose the problem, but he was slow, very disorganized, and failed to get the part we needed in a timely manner. I had received Chris Burton's name and number, the owner of Nation's Towing, earlier in the week as an excellent mechanic. Despite being told earlier in the week that Nations was too busy to work on our motorhome, I called Chris out of desperation. I explained our situation, explained that Jayce had towed us in the weekend before, and asked if he could please look at our motorhome. Chris agreed to check out our motorhome, and once he did, he also agreed to fix it for us. This was a total "game-changer" and allowed us to rent a car to salvage two weeks of our vacation. We left our motorhome with Chris and he ordered the part and fixed it. We drove it home to Reno and it ran like a top! Chris Burton, and his son Jayce, saved us and our vacation! They are so busy helping locals and tourists needing tow and other roadside services that I didn't think I had a prayer of Chris accepting the task of fixing our motorhome. He did and my wife and I are so grateful and appreciative! Chris and Jayce are honest, hardworking, and two of the nicest people you could meet. While this ordeal was an exhausting and stressful one, and one we hope we never have to go through again, we would have never met two of Moab's nicest people had we not been stranded like this. So incredibly helpful! Our car broke down at the Arches National Park... at the Visitor Center. We had just arrived so hadn't had a chance to see anything. Nations was so helpful! Jim came out, assessed the situation, gave us recommendations, and got us towed to a great auto service shop and made sure we were taken care of. Our vehicle was taken care of and we were able to roll out of time on time and we drove 715 miles on to our next adventure! Thank y'all so much!! read more

I hope you don't ever need towing service, but if you do need towing, I do not recommend Nations Towing. We were on a 4 hour drive from Salt Lake City to Moab. When we were only about 18 miles to Moab, our rental SUV got a flat tire on highway 191 at around 7pm on Sunday. We searched on Yelp and called Nations Towing, which showed up first on our Yelp search. Jay from Nations Towing said "ok, will be there in about one and a half hours." We waited for 2 hours on the side of the highway until 9pm. It got completely dark and the temperature started to go down. However, nobody from Nations Towing showed up. At 9pm, we called Jay again, he said "I'm doing the best I can". We waited for a little more, then we decided to call 911. The 911 dispatcher said she needed to put us on hold to call the towing company. Then the 911 dispatcher told us Nations Towing would take another 2 hours to get to us, so she would have another towing company call us. After the 911 call, we got rescued by a different towing company (Tic Tac Tow) in just 30 minutes. Our experience with Nations Towing is that they were not honest nor reliable. I would have appreciated if they would have been honest and told us that they would have had to take 4 hours to get to us, instead of telling us that they would have to take 1 and a half hours, and let us wait on the highway for 2 hours until it was completely dark and we had to call 911. No one should have gone through this. read more

We were so lucky to have Jay of Nation's Towing pick us up and drive us from Moab, all the way to Westminster Colorado! He was professional and a gentleman. Jay picked us up at our hotel, waited while we looked for a missing item, then skillfully loaded our car onto his truck in the Arches Park. He engaged in cordial conversation when we initiated it, and entertained us with his kind humor, which was helpful since we were a bit stressed, having to cut our trip short. He was attentive to our needs and accommodating, letting us know that we could cue him about when to stop etc. We made good time considering the load and grade of our destination and we felt safe in his care. When we got home I realized I had likely left my expensive medication inside the truck. I called and the supervisor Chris found it for me, under the seat. He is mailing it back to me. This company and its employees went above and beyond. I thought for sure I would paying the extra 400.00 to replace them medication. Thanks guys! read more

My son tried to call this driver for a tow on a Saturday and since he said he had to call back to confirm, somehow this angered the driver who refused to answer or call back my son. I also called to see if he would pick up my son and he completely ignored my call. My son eventually called from another phone number that this jerk didn't recognize on the following Monday and SURPRISE, he picked up the call. He charged my son $75 for a 1 mile tow. So, after ignoring my son all weekend (which made him stay in Moab for 2 extra days at a hotel) he decides to rob him. Do yourself a favor and do NOT call this or Tic Tac Tow in Moab for ANYTHING. I've lived in tourist towns (Kapaa, Austin, Durango) and I've never seen tourists robbed or treated like this. Moab should be ashamed. read more

The alternator on our vehicle went out so we were stranded south of Moab on a Saturday afternoon. After many hours trying to get AAA to help us but having no luck, we called Nations and not only were they prompt and very reasonably priced, they were completely awesome. We couldn't get a rental car in Moab for two more days, and didn't think there was any chance of getting a new alternator installed on Sat night or even Sunday, so wanted a tow to Grand Junction, Colorado, where we could at least get a rental car and drop off our vehicle at the dealer for a repair. Despite the late hour on Saturday, Jayce was willing to do it and could even bring a truck that could seat all 3 of us, not just 2 as AAA wanted, thus leaving a member of our group on the side of the road at night. When he arrived to get us, he had a better idea . . . his dad, co-owner Chris, had located a suitable alternator in Moab, and somehow would be able to get it from the parts store way after hours. The two of them got to work around 10 pm and we were on the road towards home by midnight. The tow to town and alternator repair was much less than we expected. Not only that, these humble gentlemen saved us over $1200 in charges for towing to Grand Junction, a rental car there to get home, and a trip back to Grand Junction get our vehicle when done. They came and got us, took our vehicle to the shop, took us to a hotel, called us once they knew what was wrong, and helped us figgure out getting our car home (because they wouldnt be able to have the part in time for us). Well, they did a good job recovering my vehicle stuck in quicksand but nobody ever made any mention of a $40/day storage fee. $200/hour for recovery fees. Time starts from when they leave the shop until they return so expect a $1200 plus bill. read more

We were on a long road trip and hit a huge pothole on highway headed to Moab. From side of the highway called AAA and they contacted Nation's Towing. When Chris arrived, I immediately knew we were in good hands. He handle our car with care, drove us to a tire store in Moab and then waited patiently until the store was able to locate the correct tire ... which had to be sent from another city. We had problems with our motorhome about 30 miles outside of Moab. We waited several hours because of preceding calls, but the customer service was good in trying to keep us informed. Chris was extremely helpful in coming to help us late in the evening. He reviewed our issues, diagnosed the reason for the problems, and led us back to Moab to spend the night parked in his lot. Got to say these guys were great! Called AAA after car decided to just stop outside of Green River on I-70 just after midnight. AAA said would be 2 hours but Jayce was there in under 2 hours after driving what sounded like the entire state of Utah to help 2 other clients before me. Jayce was extremely professional and did everything he could at 2am to make a crap day better. In the end he got me to a shop in Green Valley that he recommended, they got me up and going back on the road in the morning. In the end just got to say thank you for being there to help! read more

Chris was a blessing when we needed it most. Our truck broke down 45 miles from Moab, on a Sunday, and New Year's Day. He arrived within 2 hours and towed My wife, my 4 kids, and I to Moab safely, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the truck overnight so I could get back on the road in the morning. He dropped us off at a very nice and inexpensive hotel and picked us up when the truck was ready. All of this at a reasonable price. Being the holidays, he could have charged us more, refused to do the work, or put it off until the next day, but he was kind and professional and helped us out when we needed it most. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Do not recommend. Was on the side of the road for over 5 hours waiting for these guys to show up, they never did. Each time I called to see what was taking so long, a fella named Tom answered and he sounded like he could care less what was happening. Gave me the "Let me call my driver and see what's going on" line yet never heard back from either of them. Same thing when I called back again and again. Finally I asked if someone could please call me back and let me know what was going, Tom said "Yes, will do"... Never heard back from Tom or the driver. Thank goodness my vehicles engine was still functional and I was able to use the heater or I would have froze. read more

Walter not only helped us with our flat tire but checked our other tires and found them wanting a lot of air. As it was a rental RV, this involved a lot of extra time on his part filling up our tires. In addition, he suggested a number of great places to visit while we were in Moab. What a great experience. This company has the worst service I've ever experienced. While I do appreciate that they towed our vehicle, but that still doesn't excuse their customer service. We trusted them to also fix our vehicle because it had some problems. We have been trying to get an answer/estimate from them SINCE SEPTEMBER 2016. They constantly make excuses for not having the quote and no real reason to why they won't do it either. Yes, they're a towing company. I understand that, but when we've tried for 6 MONTHS to try and fix it, I'm completely done with them. So we've gotten a local garage in Idaho (where I'm from) to fix our vehicle and they were so much more professional with the situation. On top of all this lying to fix our truck, they also lied about the storage fee to us AND the people who were going to pick up our vehicle. They told us one price as well as the people who are picking up our car, but then when it came to the day to get it, they changed the price on us. And of course, "no one knew" about the original price even though we were told from two (2) different people at Nation's about how much it's going to originally be. But we are just done with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THEM E-V-E-R. read more
