Do not book a room here!!!! It's below 1 star!!! The pictures are not what this place looks like!!!

The "No Other Option"hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly, and I had good communication when I had to call about our booking. The room, however, left a lot to be desired. It was large but grubby. There were suspicious stains on the bedside tables and headboards. The biggest issue was that the heat had exactly two settings. On (HOT) and off (freezing). No matter what setting you put the air on, it blasted hot air at full blast. It made no difference what degree you set and whether the fan was high/low/auto. For someone always cold, I couldn't even handle that heat on full blast. It got cold through the night though (with no extra blankets in the room) so it ended up being a night of up and down turning the heat on and off. We had checked in late and already unpacked when we realized the issue so we tried to tough it out rather than try to change rooms. Plus we didn't want to go back out into the cold. We were also just tired at that point. The pillows were a hodge podge of uncomfortable tufts of fluff. To top it off, my husband took a shower in the morning and the water filled the tub because the drain was clogged. Would I stay again if absolutely necessary? Yes. Would I try reeeeeally hard to find another option? You bet. read more

From my personal experience, I would NEVER stay here again, but had to stay somewhere over Labor Day weekend with home being remodeled. The customer service getaroom.com are no help. Offered a refund, never credited to my card, was issued to someone else! read more

Very dirty ! Lots of strange looking people lots of movement in the middle of the night. Areas look run down inside and out.

Sleep in your car. 10000% NOT even worth feeling the FILTH of this place. Please I'm begging, do not pay this owner a cent. The prices of the room are absolutely absurd for the mold, hair, and FILTH on top of NEITHER of our rooms having a working TV or ac unit. The owner needs to be sued for robbing people. read more

If I could give 0 I would. Paid the entire amount for 4 days and when we arrived the place was disgusting. Dirty and not kept up. We decided to just lose our money because they didn't want to reimburse us. Worst stay ever! Don't stay at this place!! Just look at the pictures!! They should of just charged us one day. This was the worst place I've ever stayed in. We drove for more than 8 hours to come to find out that our rooms were full of dog hairs, the heather was not working, shower curtain full of mildew ,socks on the floor from previous guests,stains on the blinds and dirty towels. Do not stay here! I'm sure I'm going to have PTSD. Had to go to three rooms to get one that didn't smell like smoke. Carpet, microwave, remote, phone, chairs were all filthy. Scared to sit on bed because it didn't look clean. Spent the night but never again. Didn't feel safe at all. Couldn't wait to get out of there the morning after my stay. read more

We stayed at this hotel on July 3, 2020. The ratings that are posted for this hotel are false. It doesn't even deserve one star. It was disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! The beds had not been changed, the bathtub had a black ring around it. The vanity and commode were nasty. Thankfully, we had clorox wipes and could wipe things down. I was so surprised to find that not even regular cleaning or disinifecting is being done to contain the CORONAVIRUS at this hotel chain. The health department should shut them down. Not a great experience. Firstly, we we're given a check in time but had to wait an extra hour to get our room "cleaned." No big deal. Finally get to our room, the door is propped wide open. We walk in and instantly notice how dirty the entire room was. Old gold fish in the air conditioner vent, sheets were disgusting, there was no lock on the door. We then left to get dinner, went out and bought cheap new sheets to put on the beds for the night, came back to the hotel and started stripping the bed and there was a dirty sock covered in hair between the top and fitted sheet, letting us know that the sheets were not washed, let alone changed from the people who were there the night before. Yet we had to wait the extra hour for our "clean" room. We were given a full refund, however I do not recommend staying here. read more

We have stayed here a lot, but never again. It was just a ok place. We would always bring 6 couples up twice a year. This years we could not check in until 4 because they were short staffed. When got to our room there was no towels, no hair dryer. I went to the front desk to voice my concerns. I was given towels and a hair dryer that had been ripped of the wall. I went to the front desk that night to discuss at discount rate due to all the issues. They gave me a whole $13 credit. Then the next morning I noticed blood stains on the comforter. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again. Poor management. The place needs to be closed down for renovations. Just nasty. It doesn't deserve 1 star. read more

Living only a couple of hours from West Jefferson, we enjoy visiting here often. Our most recent visit was a last minute decision and when I began looking for available accommodations I quickly discovered options were extremely limited. Rates were very high at $180 / night including tax. Most likely due to the Fall time of year. I will do everything possible not to stay here again in the future. It is extremely old, poorly maintained and greatly overpriced. To anyone staying here in the future, lower your expectations or you will be disappointed. read more

THE RATING OF 1 STAR IS TOO HIGH. IT IS MUCH LESS THAN 1 STAR. This is a hell-hole. The worst hotel we've ever had to endure in 44 years of travel. Our "smoke-free" room had burn holes in bed cover. Commode would not flush, refrigerator door wouldn't close and a lamp had broken bulb still in socket; miraculously no cut finger trying to get it on. We didn't get to the slum room until more than 2 hours after check-in time. Neither my husband nor I can tolerate tobacco smoke, but it engulfed us every time we left the room. My husband is fighting cancer! We had driven 300 miles, so we were captive because all other hotels were full. The owner should be ashamed. This deplorable property should be bulldozed. We were afraid to use the towels, shower or coffee maker. Imaging what stains and germs permeated our bodies is frightening. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. read more

I have frequently stayed here with my entire family, which requires at least 3 rooms. They have always been extremely accommodating with my request. The staff are friendly and the rooms always have been clean. We are beginning to make a tradition of staying here during our Thanksgiving break and eating lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn. read more

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. After checking into the room I tried to turn on the tv and the remote didn't work . I went to the front desk and a new battery was put in. Still it didn't work The molding was all separated from the wall. The carpets were so dirty I wouldn't take off my socks. The sink was clogged and each and every time I flushed the toilet it overflowed! After getting out of the shower I turned on the hair dryer and guess what. It didn't work!! I went out in the cold to the office to get a new dryer and she said they are all out of dryers, they are on back order and many guests don't have them What a dump ! read more

The only place in town that had a room so next Fathers Day, book early elsewhere. The carpet was disgusting, TV was snowy, drapes were broken, and the worst part of all was that there was no safety latch. Sheets were bare thin, as were the towels. The business owners comments in the other reviews state the rooms were update in 2016, well they obviously missed the room I stayed in!!! It was dirty, heat didn't work so they had installed a tiny unit to heat an entire room. That didn't do the trick. Water damage from prior leaks, rusted out metal parts near the door, carpet dirty, paper thin towels, sheets, and wash rags. No blankets. Housekeeping did not come in so had to go to the office and see why, no reason provided. Had to ask for more toilet paper to get through the stay. The so called breakfast was lacking. The juices were watered down. They do not restock the breakfast selections once the daily amount is eaten regardless of the amount of time remaining for breakfast. We use to stay at this hotel every year for our family reunion in August since new ownership has came into play since last year I will never stay here again. Last year was not to bad but when we arrived this year that did it for me. We did arrive early (9:00am) we did not expect to be able to check in at that time but wanted to use the phone to call family and let them know we was here which the lady behind the desk gave us the wifi password so we could make the call. She informed us that if our room was ready she would let us check in but it was not. So we went to breakfast and it was lunch time when we returned thinking we would be able to check in the manager was on duty and told us that check in was not till 2:00 telling us our room was not clean but it was. I know this is not that big of a deal I just can't believe that me and my family were not allowed to check in to our room 2 hours early but this is fine. We will never be back to this or the days inn in the same town as they are owned by the same family. We ran across another family who was their first time staying there and they had a bad experience as well and will never be back.the hotel is slowing falling apart new owners pocketing all money and not making necessary repairs ice machines not working toilets not working.
