The Marine Court is located in the Best Western Hotel along the waterfront. It is part of the Waterloo Crescent, the only part of the waterfront not bombed to pieces during WW II. The bar and restaurant are comfortable, clean and have a nice view of the waterfront. The staff are friendly and helpful. My wife and I sat in the bar. I ordered a delicious BLT- £6. It came with a load of vegie crisps and a nice salad. My wife raved about her grilled 3 cheese sandwich- £5. It came with a salad and french fries. The drinks were good, the food excellent and the service personalized. I can definately recommend the Marine Court.

Since the Premier Inn doesn't do meals, this is convenient if you want somewhere for a beer, a quick bite or a more leisurely meal. And, if you want a sea view, you'll get it, if you choose your table carefully. We found the meals reasonably priced they're even more reasonable on weekdays, and found nothing about them to complain about; although I found the chili con carne a little mild, that's a personal thing. On the occasion we just wanted a sandwich, we found the bacon, lettuce and tomato baguette a crusty delight, although, on this day, the service was a little slow. But, that was to be expected. The place was crowded, for the British Open was being played at nearby Sandwich. And, they did bring my pint of 'Spitfire' in a reasonable time.

It's nostalgic and the best sandwich shop. When I studied abroad in London back in 2006- I was so…read morelucky to live up the street and got to eat here everyday! I've come back to visit London several times since then (most recently in September) and its amazing how all the shops have changed on this block but this sandwich shop still remains! I am sooo glad it's still here! Seriously the best sandwiches, hot dishes such as Samosas- still cheap and fast service! Love that the locals come here everyday and know they can get the best sandwich or hot food from here! I'm obsessed with their simple bacon and egg sandwich (all comes on a baguette) I get it with no sauce of any kind. My second choice- chicken with corn. Simple yet so tasty. No need a million toppings-

This is the best sandwich shop in the world and I look down on anyone that disagrees. Just kidding…read more The sandwiches and employees here are pretty amazing though- as are the prices! I came here 9 years ago when I was a student and vowed to come back to try more tasty treats. I did just that and brought my husband this time! We ordered: -Tandoori sandwich (hot) -Peri Peri Chicken sandwich (hot) Both were so delicious, huge, and under 3 pounds (which is unbelievable)! I would say peri peri chicken was the tastiest. The flavor was on point and had a good kick of spice. If you want to save money and are in the area-maybe to go visit the V&A or another museum, come grab a quick meal to go here first and then have a picnic!
