Mari is so sweet and my dog literally bounds downstairs every morning to say hi to her. The place is always clean despite all the dogs and people walking through it. Bobby in maintenance is prompt and worked with me through some weird noises I was having in my ceiling. The building and neighborhood is quiet. I have not experienced the price-gouging here that I did at the Cantabria in Turtle Creek. The units are so-so quality for a luxury apartment-- in particular, the washer and dryer have been hard on my clothes. The units were remodeled in 2019, which was apparently a year that washer/dryer manufacturers were dealing with high tariffs and skimped on quality. The older washers I'm used to didn't cause my clothes wear-and-tear like this one. I wish the fridge had a water dispenser in it and didn't run so loud. As aforementioned, the ceiling in my unit made weird clicking noises that took months to sort out (and we're still not really sure what caused it). A bathroom mirror randomly came crashing off my wall because it wasn't glued on properly. The bathtub and showers are cramped. It seems like the remodel was rushed and sloppy. But you are still getting decent value for the rent considering the neighborhood you get to be in. All in all, I am happy to be living here!

But, NOW, they want to charge $270 to replace a window in our unit that clearly was broken from outside because only the outer of the double pane is broken as has been for years. They just decided they would add it to our rent because replacing it isn't in their budget. What the hell are we paying all this rent for, not for the amenities because they are separate from rent and we pay for those too. And of course, they don't care.

I…read moreused to have respect for this company as they were a customer many years ago when I worked for a major computer company. Earlier this year when looking for an apartment in Oregon, I chose an apartment largely because it was managed by Cushman & Wakefield. I immediately discovered that was a huge mistake. Apparently, they didn't have procedures in place or didn't follow procedures for getting apartments ready for new tenants. I moved in to find an apartment that was dirty, had lots of large insects crawling around the floors, had a broken thermostat, damaged window screens, broken faucet that sprayed water out the sides and up in the air as soon as I turned it on. Broken shower that had no water coming from it. The toilet was filthy, and the dryer didn't dry properly. The worst issue was there was a loud buzzing noise in my bedroom. I asked the leasing agent about the buzzing noise prior to moving in and was told it was coming from the bathroom fan next door and would go away as soon as they turned off the fan. I asked if they could replace the fan and was told they would. After moving in, I discovered the buzzing noise was from a Radon Mitigation motor above my bedroom and would run 24 hours a day. I moved out after spending only five nights there because they gave me the keys to an apartment that wasn't ready for a new tenant to move into, and I believe was uninhabitable. After being there only four days, I sent an email to the manager asking her to let me out of my lease due to all the problems with the apartment. When I didn't receive a response by the end of the day, I went to the rental office and was told that I would have to wait for the manager to return from vacation in around ten days. The next morning, I spoke with the backup manager and explained how I suffered from thyroid disease and between the constant noise from the mitigation motor above the bedroom and the stress from all the other issues with the apartment, I knew that staying there wasn't good for my health. She told me that the only person with the authority to let me out of my lease was the manager who would be back in around 10 days. I believe that I had no other choice but to move due to health issues and I moved out that day. I lived in this apartment for less than a week and had to move because for me, it was uninhabitable. It's difficult for me to understand how a large company like Cushman & Wakefield didn't appear to have anyone with decision making authority in place to fill in for a manager who is on vacation. Their attorney sent me a bill for around $2,750 for breaking my lease. This apartment was not what I was expecting from Cushman & Wakefield. I'm 73 years old and suffer from thyroid illness. At the time I lived at this apartment, I was suffering from Hyperthyroidism and the issues with my apartment including noise problems were affecting my health. I almost died from a Thyroid Storm a few years ago and didn't want to go through that experience again. Due to health reasons, staying in this apartment was not an option for me. If you are a tenant and need to escalate a problem, good luck. I have never been able to get anyone at their corporate office in upper management to respond to my calls or messages. Their customer service number was worthless to me. The manager who was on vacation when I had my problems didn't have the courtesy to call me when she returned. Rather than let this horrible company try to ruin my credit, I filed a claim against them in Small Claims Court in Oregon and will be flying there soon to argue my case in court. I'm suing to cover the lease cancellation fee they claim that I owe. My experience with Cushman and Wakefield has been simply horrible. I strongly recommend against renting from a management company who treats tenants the way they treated me. A normal company would have apologized for their errors and allowed me out of my lease. Now I'm going to have to fly across the country to fight them in court. I spent my career in Corporate America and ran my own successful business for eleven years prior to retiring. It's difficult for me to understand how Cushman and Wakefield can survive after my experience with them. This is not the Cushman and Wakefield that I remember from around 40 years ago.
