He discovered that it was actually little piles of mortar from disintegrating brick mortar. I'm afraid that if I had called an (unscrupulous) exterminator first that I might have had to pay a lot of money for bugs that were not really there. I recommend Analytical Home Inspection on the strongest possible terms. Cory came on fairly short notice, charged a fair price, filed the inspection report in a timely way, was utterly thorough and professional, and did a great job. Pertinent information regarding their home was not included in their inspection report. Had we, the buyers, based our purchase on the seller's inspection report, we would have been ready and willing to buy the house with the understanding that we would have needed to put about $5,000 - $10,000 of work into the home. Based on our separate buyer's inspection, we likely would have needed to have significant repairs to the foundation, starting at $20,000 in addition the previous range. In addition to these repairs, the foundation repair would potentially cause other issues with the floor, drywall, and windows, expenses that would be nearly impossible to predict or budget for. This was downplayed on the seller's inspection report, as if age of a home has no factor upon future ramifications. There were numerous other issues such as exposed wires, window repairs and gutter repairs that were not identified at all on the seller's inspection report. It is one thing to instill a sense that home issues may not require immediate attention and can ultimately be resolved with quality repairs and sufficient funds. It is another thing to dismiss information in regard to the health, safety, and salability of what is many people's largest lifetime investment. We were fortunate enough to have a buyer's agent and inspector that provided us with a much more comprehensive report and were willing to tell us that this home would have been a significant financial burden. I worry that the sellers have not been provided with similar clarity while working hard to sell their home.

I had several questions about photos and comments he made, and I needed ten minutes of his time to discuss the report. Three messages and an email were left unanswered - he refused to call me back. I even left specific questions on my voicemails that clearly needed answers. Apparently, Luke wants to exchange $800 for an emailed generic report, but will not speak to you afterwards. He does realize I'll buy another house in Eugene at some point, right?

Thank you for your respect, Dr. Energy Saver! Previous 2-star Review: Unfortunately, this has been a very difficult experience for me to address standing water & drainage in my crawl space. I agreed to work with Dr. Energy Saver back in October, hoping to have the work done before the rains started. However, the work was just completed on December 31. The communication of the team was absolutely horrible - with each of the team members understanding that my project was at different points. I was told it was done multiple times - with the piping above-ground, and an alarm that was supposed to be installed still in the box. Brandon and his team finally got it figured out and did a great job communicating, but there was still confusion between the manager, Sean, and the office staff, who even threatened via phone to put a lean on my home, even though I had been calling and emailing them about the poor work and needing to get the installation completed. Grateful to Brandon for his work, and his respectfully addressing my concerns and caring about me as a customer. I would highly recommend him and his crew. However, the rest of the team really needs to get their communication and customer service addressed - it's very draining (pun intended) to have to manage and check the work you're paying someone else to complete.
