STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They are crooks and if your car breaks down you will be left high and dry. We rented a car and within a couple hours the car started making this terrible screeching noise. I thought something had broken off and was dragging on the asphalt so I pulled over and looked under the car but nothing was visible. I was told by Dania, the employee, that if anythings happens prior to 3pm to call the office directly. Since it was 2:30, I called her and she claimed the connection was bad although I could hear her fine. She hung up and I tried calling back several times until 3pm but she never answered. I found someone at a hotel to help me call the supposedly emergency toll free number, which took 45 minutes for them to verify that the car was covered because it was a separate road side service company. They said that a tow truck was on its way. After three hours of waiting, my daughter and I took a taxi back to our hotel that cost $400 pesos.I emailed the office explaining what had happened - no response. The next morning I walked to the office and a big guy was working and I explained what happened and showed him the video of the car making the awful noise as I attempted to drive it. He said him and his mechanic would go look at the car and let me know. I had to walk back to my hotel and three hours later I received an email from him stating I needed to return to the office so he could update me. I had to walk back to the office again and he proceeded to tell me that nothing was wrong with the car and a showed me a video with the car not making any noise???? He told me I had to go pick up the car and pay for the parking at the lot where I had to leave it! Left with no choice, I went back to the car only to be told by the parking lot attendant, the mechanic fixed the issue with the brake caliper and then left the car there for me to pick up and pay for the parking!!! When I returned the big guy at the desk was rude and accused me of making the story up???!!!! Wtf?! They are dishonest and take advantage of you, especially if you're a woman. They rent POS cars and the National Mexico customer service number is not even the right number. When you call the National US customer service they won't help you either. I'm out $1000 pesos for parking and a taxi and two days wasted in Tulum. SHAME ON YOU NATIONAL!!! read more
