National pharmacy, Glen Osmond Road, Adelaide SA. I am 68 years old, and a retired solicitor. It's Easter Monday 2023, and most stores are closed, so I went in to the pharmacy to buy lipstick. I was soon being watched. The female worker watching me made it clear she was afraid I would apply the lipstick directly to my own lips and she gave me given a small lipstick brush. I accepted it and assured her I wouldn't do such a thing, but she kept following me. I'm no shrinking violet so I asked her politely to stop. Her response was, it's my shop, I can walk around it if I want to. I tried to ignore her, but she kept appearing before me and then next she reminded me to wrap the lipstick brush in the tissue she had given me and to put it in the bin she pointed to. Her attitude was harassing and rude. I felt like a criminal and so I left without buying anything. read more
