    Without my knowledge, the agents at this location filed insurance claims for $0 when I called to…read moreinquire about the terms/conditions for filing an insurance claim. The claims were filed in July '15 and Aug '12. I would not have known if I had not attempted to switch insurance companies. Who knew that there would be a penalty noted in response to a typical client inquiry. On Oct 27, 2015 I called Toczek Insurance to cancel my insurance because I switched to another provider. On Nov 4, 2015 I called Toczek Insurance and they said they had not received any information regarding cancellation and a male stated that there weren't any notes to the effect. I contacted my current insurance provider, via conference call, and we sent proof of insurance via fax/email. We asked for a fax number and the Allstate rep insisted that the email address they provided would be sufficient. Again, I received phone calls regarding delinquent payments and even bills in the mail with past due penalties. On Nov 17, 2015 I called Toczek Insurance and the rep claimed that no information was received and no notes were in the system. (SERIOUSLY?!?!?) Another email was sent with proof of insurance as requested. We asked for a fax number and the Allstate rep insisted that the email address they provided would be sufficient. Again, I received phone calls regarding delinquent payments and even bills in the mail with past due penalties. On Nov 30, 2015, I called Toczek Insurance and the rep claimed that he remembered speaking with me and requesting proof of insurance. Yet, nothing was noted regarding receipt of proof of insurance. I forwarded the email from 11-17-15 and remained on the line until it was received (0:22:45) and allegedly entered into the system effective 11/01/15. Does it really take over a month to honor a cancellation of services? Is it standard practice to file a claim for $0 when a client inquires about the terms/conditions for filing an insurance claim? Of course not.

Anyway, Erik's staff spent a long time on the phone with me answering my questions, much of which was done after their office hours. They also sent me a confirming email almost immediately after our call had ended. In addition, they even found at least one error with my policy, even before officially becoming my agent. In addition, I also received a welcome email from Erik the following day which included even more information regarding some of my questions that I asked his staff on the previous day. If this is any indication of the kind of service and professionalism that Erik Nelson's office regularly provides, I am very confident that I made the right choice.

I have owned a home for the past 18 years and in these 27 years I have filed 5 claims. 1 car claim about 2 years ago (I hit a curb in the winter) and 4 roof claims. State Farm has denied all the roof claims and never paid out a penny on any of them. So why is my homeowners insurance being dropped. I should have dropped you in 2018 when every house around me got new roofs after those microburst tornados we had and State Farm said mine wasn't bad enough. How is it possible that the two houses behind mine and the house on the right and two houses on the left and three houses across the street needed new roofs but not mine. At this rate I might as well take all my policies elsewhere. Longevity and loyalty mean nothing to this company.
