The floors this company installed are cracking after less than two years! I need to replace all of them! When I called this lousy company the customer service representative literally laughed at me and stated "we don't owe you anything. The floors were installed over 90 days ago". Do not use national floors direct they are the worst company i have ever dealt with ever in my life. I have been a contractor for 30+ years and I have never seen anything like this. They sold me a one piece carpet and installed a three piece carpet. The seams do not match, looks like two different carpets. The installer told me the company does this all the time and then blames the installers. The installer told me today that he did not even get paid to do the install he had already done. The only guarantee is that you will absolutely be dissatisfied with the entire ordeal! You will realize right away that something is wrong this company when the first thing they do is DEMAND pre payment before they even pull the carpet off the truck! I had 4 separate installs for a variety of reasons. Not one was done correctly. They don't arrive with the right amount of flooring. They lie about joining the flow of the rooms and leave gaps that an average customer would not notice on a drawing and not imagine the salesperson would lie about. The installers are good but there is a language barrier. They do good enough work. The molding doesn't stay put and they have had to come back 2X. Their corporate customer service says they can't do anything to fix and they make you pay upfront. DO NOT GET FLOORING FROM THEM, NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT IS HORRIBLE. read more

I paid over $4,000 for Vinyl Tile Floors and a room of carpet. The room with the carpet came out great. My kitchen floors have gaps between the tiles and they keep moving. I have had then come over multiple times to fix them and they just bring a rubber mallet to move the pieces. This past time they came over, they blamed it on my sub floor being warped. Meanwhile, when I had them come quote the floors to get done, they told me my subfloors were perfectly fine and they didn't need to be replaced. I have contacted customer service many times and all they told me was they are not liable for any subfloors and they are sorry. Sorry isn't going to fix my floors. Not to mention when they installed my floors, they put the wrong tile down and the wrong color trim up! I would not recommend this company for doing floors. read more

I would NOT RECOMMEND going with National Floors Direct. They are crooks and do not do the job they say. I paid $3016 to have my ceramic tile floor ripped up and taken away then a floor put down . They said the slab floor was not up to code and wanted another $1200 to do the rip up, I declined , they then said to glue down the floor over the existing one would cost the same price and it does not. THEY Ripped me off for about $1500. They advertise on News 12 and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I gave them 48 hrs to issue me a refund and they declined. They also only take Cashier Check or Money orders that is a clue they are NOT a company you should deal with. read more

DO NOT USE @Nationalfloorsdirect!!!This is by far the worst company I've had to deal with, install was set to June 14, installers showed up said they ran out of material and would be back the following Monday, waited on Monday morning, NO SHOW!! When I call to get ETA on the installers I'm told they were not scheduled because the material were not available. Fast forward to June 21 (today) installers show up 30 minutes after window we were given, they didn't have the materials needed and also they had no idea that the transitions and trims were never completed. Worst part is we had paid in full!!! Only to be told we will most likely have to wait one whole week for the materials. Customer service says they're sorry. That's suppose to make it all go away!!!!! If I could give negative 10 stars I would. This company is one big fraud. They employ scripted high-pressure sales tactics and will not take no for an answer. The salesperson has no scruples and will tell you anything you want to hear just to get you to sign the contract and waive your 3-day cancellation rights. Then they want a 10% down deposit that same day and only except cash, money order or certified check but no credit card or personal check. What reputable company doesn't accept credit cards or personal checks? I found out later the reason why. They have no intention of doing a good job or offering you the quality product that they promised. They hide behind the contract and once you've signed they're done with you. I asked him, do you use your own payroll employees to do the job and NOT subcontractors. He straight out lied to my face saying they only used NFD employees...and as Jerry Springer would say, "That was a lie." The floor guy showed up next day with his wife as the only helper and wanted COD, couldn't speak English and wanted me to approve the flooring before he installed it. Good thing he did because the flooring is not what I ordered, wrong color and it was damaged. I called customer service. The guy was rude, tried to charge me a restocking fee of $1500 for LVP flooring that was the wrong color and damaged. Wouldn't offer me a refund on my $600 initial deposit. Could care less that I was a dissatisfied customer. When I asked to speak to his manager told me that was not going to happen and that he was the only person I could talk with. In conclusion, BUYER BEWARE! This company NFD is not a flooring company at all they're using flooring as a cover. They take your deposit, put your job out to bid and hire the cheapest contractor, then they're done with you. (Basically, anybody willing to do the job on the cheap). So right there you know you're not going to get quality work because a reputable carpet/floor installer is not going to work for the pennies that NFD would be offering. They're main reason for being in business is to steal your money by any deceptive means possible. They are dishonest and have zero interest in customer service. STAY AWAY! read more

If I could give lower I would. I had a beautiful floor installed March of 23 It has already started to fail. Spots have separated others are lifting. They come to your home tell you about a great 20-year warranty that doesn't exist. They came and did what they called a one-time courtesy visit but didn't address everything I asked for, but my son signed the paperwork so they did their part. It's a scam. You only get a 90day installation warranty therefor you really don't have a 20-year warranty. They want to charge me 200.00 just for someone to come and look even though I sent pictures twice. The men that came for the courtesy repair looked at the lifting spot and called it water damage I call that bull. It's not anywhere near water it's near my dining room table. Customer service lacks everything. The Manager I spoke with kept repeating herself that I signed the contract, and everything is in the contract. I'm sure it is but what really stinks is no one ever reads word for word. The salesman sells it as standard practice and you have a 20year warranty. I'm extremely disappointed in this company. Their customer service (or lack there of) pre and post install... I have no words. Actually.. Let me rephrase that. I have MANY words. Install 1: So we decided to get carpets installed in two of the bedrooms, our master and spare bedroom. We were given an install date in which we prepped for by moving all, and I mean ALL furniture from both the master and spare bedrooms which were spread out throughout the house since we were told install would only take a few hours. Okay. No big deal. Install day comes and no one showed up at the start of our time block. An hour goes by, then another, so by the third hour we called customer service only to find out they had no idea where their workers were. After going back and fourth all day long with customer service, by the end of the day we were told the worker fell that morning on the first job of the day and was injured so we needed to have our install rescheduled. Obviously we felt bad about what happened to the worker, and hoped he or she was alright, but was just dissapointed in how everything was handled throughout the day and the lack of communication this company has with their workers. How do you not know where your team is and how does it take you until almost the end of the day to find out one of your workers was in the hospital? Anywho.. after getting rescheduled, the carpets came out great so we decided to give them another shot. Moving on to install 2: we decided to have the upstairs floors replaced since our current floors were warping and chipping. As the old floors were being ripped up, it was brought to our attention that there were four.. yes four.. layers of flooring in our dining room that needed to be ripped up in order to have the new floor put down. Apparently in our contract (which of course was broadly worded to their benefit but still covered their ass) only cover two layers of floor being ripped up, not four. So it was an extra almost $1000 to have two layers of old sticky tile ripped up. Which we paid cash for (to the worker) because if we went through national floors, it would have been way more money (yes we checked to verify before just giving cash). Okay. Fine. Whatever. But what really irritated me was the fact that after the workers left at 9pm that night, we later found out that our bathroom door wouldn't close all the way because the threshold for the new flooring was too high. So this resulted in us having to shave the bottom of the bathroom door. We had also asked for new molding to be installed.. And because so many layers of flooring was ripped up, the molding ended up being too short and exposed the old paint and we would have had to do a lot of painting and sanding down, so they recommended we get a higher molding. I mean.. okay that's fine. But when we called customer service (as instructed to by the worker) and asked for a refund, we were told the refund for the molding for the ENTIRE main level of the house was going to be a total of 35$. I'm sorry, 35$?? For over 43 linear feet of molding? My ass. Low and behold we ended up doing it ourselves and spent well over 35$ on molding at Home Depot. But happy to report that we did an amazing job and not to toot our own horns or anything but it looks really good Anywho, on to install 3: By now y'all are probably like what the hell is wrong with you, why go back to them? We'll. It was one of our cheaper options and we were in the process of putting the house on the market and needed to do some updates. So we thought "how can we get screwed three times in a row? Not possible right?" Wrong. This one isn't as bad, but it's the straw that broke the camels back for me with this company. Back in March we had our basement floors replaced. After the install, I thought I was being pranked. The quarter round that was installed looked like a kid installed it. I would think if it looked off or weird after installing part of it throughout the basement, you'd have your customer take a look to see if it's worth finishing or if the customer was okay with it. But whatever. Anyways, flash forward to this past week when we noticed a chip in one of the boards. Called customer service and got the run around, they asked if we had any extra material from when the job was done. Of course we don't and weren't left with extra flooring from the job . So apparently if their shitty material starts to chip, that's not covered under their warranty and we were told we'd have to spend "a couple hundred bucks on an extra box of flooring" but would still need a quote for it and then they'd come to replace it. This is a horrible company. As short as this can be made: -were to have carpeting and laminate flooring installed -the first time carpet installers came, it was a man and woman. I asked them to wear a mask, and the woman's broke so I gave her another one. Then their elderly parents got out of the car, and then 3 young children. I was not going to assume liability for the children. They drove away and told the company they were forced to double-mask. The company believed them and charged me $250 for rescheduling. -the next carpet installers came and refused to wait 2 minutes while my wife, who had just gone shopping, wanted to put frozen groceries away. They drove away saying they needed gas. Never returned. -3 days before the laminate installation I received the email confirmation. The very next day I received a call that it was delayed 2 months. -a couple of weeks later I decided to terminate based on their breach of contract of a contract section. I was told the 3 day waive period (that was on the salesman's iPad) negated it, which is a deceptive business practice -I am still awaiting my $2700 refund of deposit. -keep in mind that the Federal Trade Commission took NDF to court over its violation of the Consumer Review Fairness Act of 2016, which NDF built into its contract, that customers could not publicly disparage or defame NDF. I have filed with the FTC, and 2 State's Attorneys General. read more

The salesman made promises that the installers could not deliver on. The salesman did us dirty on the pricing is the most succinctly as I can put it. A salesperson, Mike came for an estimate. I decided not to go with them because the estimate was too high. Mike said, "Wait, wait, wait. Watch what I can do for you!" and he called "Regional Manager" three different times to bring down the price. I told him that my daughter is getting married, and they are moving in June. It was very important for me to get her room ready before their stuff get delivered on 6/1. He then told me about "rush installation". He promised that the installation will take one day! To proceed with "rush installation", he said I need to waive my right to cancel the contract. I did it because both Mike and his Manager verified&confirmed that the material that I wanted was in stock and ready in the warehouse. So, I waived a 3-day cancellation for faster and quicker installation. I signed the contract based entirely on the fact that they were in stock, and I was guaranteed of the installation on 5/4/22. After I signed the waiver and "tap-sign" the e- contract from his small tablet, Mike then asked for a deposit. I wanted to pay with my credit card, but his company does not accept credit cards. I wrote a check for $2,679. Just two days before the installation day, I was contacted by NFD. Kim said that the flooring material that I wanted failed an inspection and the new installation date is 6/7/22. I told her that I will have to get my daughter's room ready before 6/1. The only reason I signed the contract was because Mike promised installation by 5/4, not 6/7. Kim emphasized that I signed the contract, and on that contract, the completion date was written as 7/3/22. I said, "What?" Mike deceived me to sign the waiver and the contract without thorough explanation. There was no print-out contract that I could read before I sign. He only brought a small tablet and he wanted me to "tap to sign". He did not give me an opportunity to review it before I sign. If he mentioned anything about possibility of getting delayed beyond 5/4, I would not have gone with this company because I just could not take any chances due to my daughter's wedding! I told Kim that we can't do her room on 6/7 and certainly no way in 7/3. I requested her to refund our deposit back. When I tried to dispute this, Kim said that NFD does not give refunds under any circumstances because I signed the waiver and the contract. I was manipulated by their deceptive marketing tactics, and they already cashed my deposit a day after the sales rep came to our house! NFD cashed my check real fast. I asked to speak with a manager. Kim said she is the manager. I asked for a Regional Manager, Kim said he does not talk to customers, but only with them. I asked for the owner. Kim said that the owner does not talk to customers either. I spoke with Alexis on 5/4 & Marylyn on 5/5. All 3 of them were awful. I told Alexis about their false advertisement, and their deceptive & manipulative marketing tactics. They entice people with guaranteed "rush installation", but that's bait. It's their tactic to lure customers and get their $. Everything is nothing but a big lie. I told Alexis that NFD intentionally lies to customers, and they trap/force customers to buy their products. She raised her voice and interrupted me so many times to a point that I just want to cry. She yelled at me and said, "It is your responsibility to review the contract before you sign!" I paused little bit to breathe. I said, "Mike had a small tablet. He literally pointed lines and told me to tap. He never asked me if I want to review it." At this time, Alexis was screaming on the other line and did not let me finish. She said, "You signed the contract, and it is your responsibility to review, not the sales rep." She also threatened me that if I do not let them do the work then my deposit will be forfeited. Plus, I'll have to pay 30% of restocking fee, contract fee, cancelation fee, and other fees. If I decide to go with them then I will have to give the installers the remaining balance of $6K BEFORE they start the work. If I don't pay them first, they will not start. On 5/5, another manager named Marylyn called. I told her about how NFD lied about "rush installation" "guarantee" of great work, I asked her to give my money back. She said, "No". She then compared it to Amazon. Customers pay Amazon before they receive orders. She said, NFD is like that and they didn't do anything wrong. I tried to dispute, she yelled at me so I had to tell her stop yelling at me. She said, "Are you going to give your life away because it is on the contract? You don't ever never sign a contract w/o reviewing it first. You failed to review it. It's your fault." They were rude & condescending. They treated me like a second-class citizen. When I told her I trusted everything Mike and his Manager had said. She yelled, "I don't care what they've said!" I was shocked! I said, "Mike is your employee and you should care.
