However, my negative experience with Ben remains, and while I understand as a business owner myself how important reviews are, I will not be persuaded as I was today to remove my review. I'm allowed to go against the grain and share my experience. My experience and negative feelings towards the owners stand. I know many will benefit from this studio, but I experienced a different side of the ownership that I cannot unsee, mainly that they only care about money, as another reviewer pointed out, and it made me decide to never go there again. The way you talk to people is equally as important as what you've accomplished. Also, maybe don't post replies under Ben's account when you're emphasizing and choosing to focus on the fact that you're one of many female-run businesses (which I don't see as relevant in this discussion-good for you girl, but Ben still can't talk to people that way). Yes, your policies are your policies, but I explained my extenuating circumstances and it was the WAY Ben handled it. I would never want to interact with someone again after that. Also, when you called me twice Jaime and then texted me, I explained to you what the extenuating circumstance was, and there was no acknowledgment of it, just spiritual bypass and ingenuine comments, followed by a confusing message wishing me well. Sorry, but your reply doesn't resonate as a fellow female business owner. I felt gaslit by the owner Ben today. I've met the instructors and they were very nice, but I felt that Ben was getting defensive on the phone with me today after a simple request. I kindly ended the phone call because I didn't want to insult him over the phone, but his response to my simple request was pretty unreasonable and unwarranted, and showed that he really cares about money more than people. now I don't want to come in anymore after my experience speaking with him. It's too bad, because their business is pretty cool, but you're only as cool as you treat people. A little kindness and compassion goes a long way.
