I honestly appreciate her passion for excellence. I know from listening to others in the waiting room that people often have frustrations about the time it takes to see each patient, usually somewhere around 2 hours. However, considering all the information she needs to review before performing any kind of service to your eyes, this feels acceptable to me. I have also looked into the wait times at other eye physicians around Boston and they are consistently 2-5 hour waits. I would highly recommend Dr. Valez to anyone in need of eye care. Obviously, we can't review MRI results for an MRI that hasn't happened, so I contacted the office to reschedule. I left a message with the answering service, then left several voicemails (during office hours) explaining the need to reschedule and reason, over the course of a week. When I received no response to those I even emailed through the website. No response. So a little over 24 hours before the scheduled appointment I left another office hours voicemail explaining that since I haven't heard from anyone it would be best to just cancel. The next day I received an automated message that we missed our appointment. Is this a medical practice that literally has no one checking voicemail? I am the full-time caretaker for two profoundly disabled individuals. I deal with medical appointments, doctors offices, and specialists all the time. I also have two full-time jobs, and work seven days a week to provide for those individuals. The stack of b.s. I deal with daily is sky high. The last thing I need is one provider's office adding one more thing to that stack. Caretaking someone with advanced dementia means a need for results in a reasonable amount of time, especially since medication changes are frequent. I can't wait months to forever to not hear from a provider with important medical information. So I contacted insurance, found NE Neurological, who got us in next month. Just putting that out there for anyone also in need of a responsive specialist for a loved one.

I said all the urgent care are full and they then said go to the emergency room. It is unfortunate that primary care doctors continue to abuse an emergency room for situations that are not emergent.At no point did I raise my voice, use abusive language, or threaten the practice or its employees. Expressing dissatisfaction with care, stating an intent to file a complaint, or expressing concern about lack of access to care does not constitute verbal abuse or a threat. Patients retain the right to voice concerns, file grievances with their insurance company, and share factual experiences through reviews or regulatory channels without retaliation. Instead I was dismissed from practice- which is retaliation and will be reported to Board of Medicine as ethics violation. Additionally, under generally accepted standards of care and Massachusetts patient-provider termination guidance, patients are typically entitled to reasonable notice and interim coverage for urgent and necessary care during a transition period (commonly 30 days) to allow time to secure a new primary care provider. I have sent numerous family and friends there- and all have said the same thing. No one responds to calls/emails and when they are finally able to get an appointment it's rushed and dismissive.

I have seen you or your NP, Mr. Abraham Ballah for my current condition with my back pain. The medication prescribed has been helping to get my pain from level 8 to level 5. An x-ray was ordered on the day that I saw Mr. Ballah. No one reached out to me to tell me my results. On 9/9 I left my job in an ambulance to the Emergency Department because of the pain in my back. The ED doctor suggested an MRI to see the Spine Center. The MRI was done on 9/8. However, the MRI was not read by the time of my appointment at the Spine Center with Jason Langlois, PA. on 9/18. It was a wasted appointment. I faxed my paperwork for PLML. You then referred me to the Spine Center to sign off on my PLML paperwork. Upon contacting the Spine Center, I was told that they do not sign off of PLML paperwork. I was also told by the representative that my PCP is supposed to help me with this. I spoke to the Dr. Chen at my appointment at the Spine Center on 10/18 about helping me with the PLML paperwork, and she told me that she has not ever done that. You, Dr. Semaan have basically dusted your hands with my care about my back situation once I saw the Spine Center on 9/18. I have been out of work since 9/9 due to my condition. My financial income has been severely my ability to pay my medical bills and caused a great deal of anxiety as well as bad mental health. I am unable to go back to work until a doctor listens to me. You, Dr. Semaan are my primary doctor. Which means to me that you are the doctor that should be my first PATIENT ADVOCATE! The person that referred you to me has left your care due to your poor bed side manner and lack of care for your patients. I will need to find another provider. I have been dealing with a major back issue and I patiently waited to be scheduled to see Dr. Chira. I understand during COVID-19 times now, that everything can be more slow-paced and a health risk; however, I felt as if I was put on the back burner. I had to head to the ER in order for myself to get any type of doctor's note for my job. I did not feel comfortable going back to work in my condition and wanted to get answers! A week and a half later, I finally did see Dr. Chira, and there was still no proper diagnosis. I, myself, recommended to get a MRI done to get a better understanding of what's going on with my back. Also, to see what issues are going on. I had 1 more follow-up appointment with Dr. Chira after that; that being after my MRI was done and results were in. Still no clear-cut answers from him. I had to continually repeat with him what medications I am on; as well as what I have been doing since my back injury. It's as if he didn't remember anything I had told him prior? Not to mention Dr. Chira explicitly wanted me to call my pharmacy to "double-check" what medications I am on so there is no "confusion." I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe my PCP was not believing me. Dr. Chira handled my diagnosis with no clear-cut answers. I had to bring up physical therapy as an option. I expressed concern and interest in Short Term Disability because my back injury is going to take a lot more time that I had imagined apparently. I am looking out for the wealth fare of my job! Dr. Chira cringed at my vocal expression with STD! Why? I was looking for guidance and reassurance. I was looking for help and concern. All I received was disconnect and lack of empathy. Lastly, when Dr. Chira brought up what I do for work, he mentioned maybe I should find another job? How can I make that assumption when I need to make sure and take care of my issue first. Especially before I can decided anything like that? He was not helping me with responses such as that! Not to mention one of his office receptionists, a Miss Stacey. The very few times I spoke with her over the phone in these last 3 weeks, was, only a complete disregard for my feelings and disrespectfulness. I am finding a new PCP and have no intention of going back to Dr. Chira. He failed me as my PCP; and that's saying a lot for me considering I had been seeing him for almost 10 years. Shame on you Dr. Chira!
