What a fantastic find! Nash Dogs visited the Howard Office Building today, and I was fortunate enough to stumble across them. I quickly read reviews and went to their website to find a great 'About Us' story that was touching. As a result, I did not hesitate to patronize them and found that their dogs are delicious. I saw Michael in the back on the grill, and I was thrilled to have him cook for me. The dogs are not your standard boiled dog, but grilled to perfection, and the bun is grilled too. This, along with the size of the dog, sets them apart. I am a fan and will visit again when I can. Thanks for what you do, Nash Dogs, and I wish you all the best! read more

This is one of those OMG Hot Dog moments. Had never heard of Nash Dogs but while at Opry Mills I passed their center kiosk and stopped to peruse the menu. This is where I met Naya who is an absolute sweetheart and her smile will light up the entire Mall!!! We discussed hot dogs and she was adamant about the flavors of the hot dogs they served. I relented and decided to try the Bear chili dog (with beans) but with raw versus cooked onions. The dogs and buns are grilled so they are piping hot and I watched them pour on the chili, cheese, and onions. Grabbed the dog and my soda and told Naya I would be back to let her know what I thought. Folks...this isn't your grocery store Angus Beef Hot Dog...there is NO comparison. The flavors of this dog were exceptional, the seasoning was nice and balanced, and the skin was crisp but allowed the juices of the dog to come through. When you add the chili this was an awesome meal. One big thing to note, many times you get a chili (or something sloppy) dog by the second bite you're pretty much eating it with a fork as the bun has disintegrated. In this case, the bun stayed WHOLE until the last bite...and it is a very soft and tasty bun. If you're in Opry Mills try one of these dogs...they are exceptional AND if you get to meet Naya...you're day will be that much brighter!!! read more

I'm from Chicago and hot dogs are a part of my makeup. There's only one other good Chicago dog place that I know of in North Nashville, but I ran into Nash Dogs today and man, they're really great!!! I had a Chicago dog which was really nicely done. My wife had the chili dog and WHOA the chili was hearty and piled on. Really awesome. Won me over .... and that's hard to do with a hot dog! If I am being honest I can say I went to Nash dogs with quite a bit of skepticism. You see I am a dog... how do you say .... enthusiast ?!?!.. oh no it's far beyond that stage. Being well versed in the art of sausage making I make my own andouille, chorizo and an amazing New York Italian Street Cart Sausage. I have studied hot dogs as a passion and know countless ways to prepare them. So knowing up front that they did not have natural skinned hot dogs available cost them a star in my head before I even showed up. Just a basic angus beef dog ... sad face. However, one thing I AM a sucker for is a good grilled hot dog. Watching this guy, he pays a great deal of attention to each dog. His efforts showed he cared about providing his new customer base with a good product. We loved the grilled bun too ... nice touch! In the end we were more than pleasantly surprised. I write my reviews with the thought that an average experience earns 3 stars, above average 4 stars, and 5 stars is only given where the entire experience excellently represents what you would expect from a certain type of establishment, in this case the humble hot dog stand. But this was a far better than average hot dog cart experience. Not only did the grilled dog and bun taste great, they were presented well and I honestly can say that it is better than average for a hot dog cart. Overall a 4 - 4.5 due to the lack of a natural skinned dog, which is really only something picky dog eaters would ask for (and they are pricey) so I understand their absence. Where they got the fifth star was the service and personality. We went there to support a new local business and really felt like we chose wisely. What a personable couple. Listen when I say yum I mean get 2! They are big but you will want more and not have more...that kind of yum. I got a dawg with mayo, mustard, sauerkraut, and lays potato chips ON TOP OF THE DAWG!!! When you find yourself at Opry Mills and the wait for the theme restaurants is just too outrageous (not to mention: the prices!) and the thought of going to the food court is unbearable, just look for this little kiosk right outside of one of the big themed restaurants (Entrance 3, south side of the mall). The owner is a nice man and goes beyond in service. He genuinely cares about the customers and the food he presents. This place is almost always packed and he puts a mask on as soon as customers pull up. He has a dog(s) of the month special every month. Also has chili as a choice of soup if you're not feeling hot dogs that day. He also carries not only all beef but veggie dogs as well. All dogs have a generous amount of toppings and aren't bad on the price, plus he grills the buns as well. You can do a custom dog for 5 plus the cost of toppings, condiments are free and toppings range from .50 to 1 dollar each. We got two bears, one dapper, one Hamilton and a chili to go. The portion on the chili is generous for 5 dollars, while it tasted good the meat in it is a little under seasoned. I got the Hamilton which comes with ketchup, mayo, chili, cheese, bacon and grilled onions; it was good but I recommend getting him to add mustard, jalapeños or pickles to it, to cut the richness of everything. My mom got a bear and she liked it, it's pretty much the Hamilton minus the condiments and bacon. We got my friend the dapper, which is the Hamilton minus the chili. My friend enjoyed it thoroughly. I would definitely recommend going here. I'll probably either do a custom dog next time or add some additional toppings to the house menu. read more

When I tell y'all that this Angus Beef hot dog taste so good! I'm still licking my fingers and the plate. The Dapper was beyond delicious! And if you want to get a little creative add some bbq sauce with it, you won't be disappointed. My wife had the Bear and that was delicious as well. The customer service was amazing!
